The AI Hotel Lobby trend is a short clip of two people or two pets in a flat orange studio booth, taking turns rapping into one microphone that hangs between them. It copies the look of a 2022 music performance. To make your own you need two photos: one for the left side and one for the right.

How to make the Hotel Lobby video on MakeViral

Everything runs in the browser. No editing app, no prompt to write, no watermark.

  1. Add the two photos

Press "Create your own" and add left person, then right person. Photo 1 goes on the left of the scene, photo 2 on the right. Take them with the camera or pick them from your library.

  2. Press Generate

The button shows the price. MakeViral builds the Hotel Lobby scene with your photos, then Kling 3.0 animates it for 10 seconds with original sound. You write no prompt.

  3. Download or share

The video is ready in a few minutes as a 9:16 MP4. Download it, share it from your phone, or find it later in your Library.

Which photo works best?

Use full-body photos, head to feet, one person per photo. The model rebuilds each body in the booth, so a cropped selfie leaves it guessing about legs and shoes.

  • Upload the person who should stand on the left first. AI Photo keeps the upload order.
  • Plain clothes with one strong color read best against orange. An orange top disappears into the wall.
  • For pets, pick a photo where the whole animal is visible and in focus. The prompt stands it upright on its hind legs.
  • Use photos of yourself, of adults who agreed, or of your own pets. Never a celebrity or a stranger.

Where did the Hotel Lobby trend start?

The booth comes from a real performance. Quavo and Takeoff performed "Hotel Lobby" on the YouTube show A COLORS SHOW in June 2022, in front of a flat orange wall with one hanging microphone. By late September 2026 that video had more than 121 million YouTube views.

The AI version started in September 2026. XXL traced it to a clip of two cats in the booth on TikTok in early September; Know Your Meme names a TikTok swap from 16 September as the first big one. Within a week, people had put friends, pets, film characters and tech founders into the booth, and one-click template apps followed. Takeoff died in 2022, and some fans asked people to keep the swaps respectful.

The viral clips reuse the original song. Our prompts do not: they ask the model for an original beat, so the clip carries no copyrighted audio.

Two people

Step 1 · Photo prompt

Use the two uploaded images as the base. The person in the first image stands on the LEFT. The person in the second image stands on the RIGHT. Keep each person's face, facial features, skin tone, hair, body shape and clothing exactly the same as in their own photo. Do not blend the two people and do not swap their clothes. Show both people full body, head to feet, standing upright side by side with a clear gap of floor between them. They stand inside a small seamless studio booth with a flat matte orange wall and floor, no corners and no furniture. One black studio microphone hangs on a thin cable from the top of the frame, in the gap between them. The left person has one hand raised as if about to rap. The right person stands relaxed with arms loose. Soft, even frontal light with a warm orange bounce. Photorealistic, sharp, vertical 9:16. No text, no logos, no watermarks, no other people.

Step 2 · Video prompt

Two friends perform a playful hip-hop duet in a small orange studio booth with one hanging microphone between them. Keep both faces, outfits and positions exactly as in the image. The left person always stays on the left and the right person always stays on the right. The left person leans toward the microphone and raps first with loose hand gestures while the right person nods to the beat and reacts. Then the right person takes the lead while the left person hypes them up. The timing feels natural and conversational, never mirrored. One locked-off, centered, wide shot. No cuts, no zoom, no camera movement. Audio: an original upbeat hip-hop beat with both voices rapping short, clean, playful lines. No text, no logos, no extra people.

Keep each animal's breed, face, eye color, fur color, markings, collar and body shape exactly the same as in its own photo. Do not blend the two animals. Both animals stand upright on their hind legs in a confident, human-like pose, front paws loose like arms, with a clear gap between them. Show both full body, ears to paws. They stand inside a small seamless studio booth with a flat matte orange wall and floor. One black studio microphone hangs on a thin cable from the top of the frame between them. Two pets stand upright in a small orange studio booth with one hanging microphone between them. Keep each animal's face, fur and markings exactly as in the image, and keep their positions. The left pet leans to the microphone first and "raps" with small paw gestures and head bobs while the right pet watches and reacts. Then the right pet takes its turn while the left pet bobs to the beat. Independent, conversational movement, never a synchronized dance. Static, centered, full-body shot. No cuts. Audio: an original funny hip-hop beat with small cartoonish pet voices. No extra paws, no merged bodies, no text, no logos.

How many credits does it cost?

You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the scene photo and the video, charged once. One video is 56 credits, so the smallest one-time pack that covers it is $9.99 for 100 credits, with no subscription. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video.

Why does the Hotel Lobby clip work so well?

It is instantly readable. The orange wall, the single hanging mic and two figures side by side tell the viewer which trend this is before anything moves, so the only surprise is who is in the booth. That makes the joke portable: best friends, a couple, two siblings, a dog and a cat, two coworkers.

It is also a duet. Two people means two people tag each other in the comments, and each of them reposts it. Most of the big copies in September 2026 were pairs with a built-in contrast: a tiny cat next to a huge one, a calm person next to a hyper one.

How do you get the left and right right?

The photo prompt names the first image as LEFT and the second as RIGHT, and AI Photo sends your uploads in the order you add them. If the still comes back swapped, do not animate it: press the remix button on it, remove both references, and add them again in the right order.

The video prompt then tells the model that the left person always stays on the left. Check the still before you spend credits on the video. Everything the video model does starts from that one frame.

What goes wrong, and how do you fix it?

ProblemFix
One face looks like a blend of both peopleUse sharper photos with one person each, then generate the still again.
The booth has corners or furnitureGenerate the still again; the prompt asks for a seamless wall and a second run usually gets it.
Both people rap at the same timeKeep "never mirrored" and "conversational" in the video prompt. Shorter lines help.
A hand warps near the micCommon in 10-second clips. A second run, or 8 seconds instead of 10, often fixes it.
The video model refuses the photoSome models refuse some real faces. The credits come back; try Veo 3.1 Fast.

Can you use the real Hotel Lobby song?

Not inside the video file from MakeViral. The prompt asks for an original beat so the download is clean. If you want the trending sound, add it in TikTok, Instagram or YouTube when you post, from their licensed music library. The rap lines in the clip will not match that song word for word, so many creators keep the original beat and put the joke in the caption instead.

FAQ

Hotel Lobby trend questions

What is the AI Hotel Lobby trend?
It is a viral AI video format from September 2026. Two people or two pets stand in a flat orange studio booth and take turns rapping into one hanging microphone. It copies the look of Quavo and Takeoff's 2022 "Hotel Lobby" performance on A COLORS SHOW, with new performers swapped in.
How do I make the Hotel Lobby AI video with my own photos?
Press "Make this video" on this page and add two full-body photos, left person first. Press Generate: MakeViral builds the orange booth still with both of you, then animates it for 10 seconds with sound. You write no prompt. To edit the prompts yourself, use "Edit the prompts yourself" instead.
Can I make the Hotel Lobby trend with my cats or dogs?
Yes. Pick the "Two pets" prompts on this page. The photo prompt stands both animals upright on their hind legs in the booth, and the video prompt gives them small cartoon voices that take turns at the mic. It works with a cat and a dog too.
How long is the video and what format is it?
The default is 10 seconds, vertical 9:16, 1080p, with sound, as an MP4 you can post straight to TikTok, Reels or Shorts. You can change the length and the resolution in AI Video before you generate; the price updates on the button.
How do I do the Hotel Lobby trend on TikTok?
Make the clip on this page first: two full-body photos in, a 10-second vertical video with sound out. Download the MP4, upload it to TikTok, and add the trending "Hotel Lobby" sound from TikTok's music library if you want it. Tag the person you put in the booth with you, because duets get shared twice.
Is it okay to put celebrities in the booth?
Do not. Many viral copies used famous faces, but a fake video of a real person can break platform rules and the person's rights, and some video models refuse well-known faces. Use yourself, adults who agreed, or your own pets.
Why does my version have a different beat from the trend?
The prompt asks for original music so your file has no copyrighted audio. You can add the trending sound in the posting app. Keep in mind that the lip movement follows the generated lines, not the song.
