Which photo works best?

You need one photo: you, the singer.

  • One person, face to the camera, sharp and well lit. A photo from the waist up or a full-body photo works best: the reel shows you from head to knees, and at the end you kneel on the ground.
  • No sunglasses, no mask, no beauty filter, nobody else in the photo.
  • Your face, hair and clothes come from your photo, not from the man in the reel: no cowboy hat, no long locs and no boots unless your photo has them. Want the full look? Wear a black cowboy hat and black clothes in your photo.
  • Any adult can sing it: a woman stays a woman and does the same moves in her own way.
  • This template is for adults. Use a photo of yourself or of an adult friend who agreed. Never a celebrity, a stranger or a child.

Where did the Choosin' Texas Emo AI trend start?

"Choosin' Texas" is Ella Langley's country hit, and TikTok has covered it in every style. Rock and emo takes came first: a hardcore emo version by @piratemike311 (5 June 2026) has 769,900 views, and people call these the y'allternative mashups.

The one that broke out came on 29 September 2026. The comedy creator @kobbapot filmed himself in a black cowboy hat on the top floor of a parking garage at night and sang the song as an over-the-top emo rock anthem: he leans on the wall and bounces, throws rock horns at the lens, pleads, slaps his knees on the beat and drops to one knee at the end. He called it the "Emo choosin Texas remix". By 25 October it had 13.2 million views, 1.6 million likes and 464,400 shares. The top comment, with 190,000 likes, calls it a rodeo version of an emo band; others say he sings it better than he needs to.

The copies came the next day: a duet, people in wigs on their own rooftops, a "Country choisin remix". His sound had 206 videos on 25 October. On 10 October he posted his top four remixes and put the emo one first (2 million views). On 25 October an AI video site added a one-photo template of it, the first AI version of the trend we found.

  1. @piratemike311 posts a hardcore emo take on Choosin' Texas, one of the first emo versions to pass half a million views (769,900 by October). TikTok

  2. @kobbapot posts his emo Choosin' Texas cover on a parking garage roof at night, one take; it has 13.2 million views and 1.6 million likes by 25 October. TikTok

  3. The first copies go up on his sound, a duet first (8,974 views by 25 October). TikTok

  4. @kobbapot posts his top four remixes and ranks the emo Choosin' Texas first; the post has 2 million views. TikTok

  5. Copies move to other rooftops: one creator does a "Country choisin remix" at night in a blond wig and a long leather coat. TikTok

  6. An AI video site adds a one-photo Choosin' Texas emo template; @kobbapot's sound has 206 videos and #choosintexas 46,208.

Video prompt

Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: the same candid vertical phone video, one handheld take with no cuts, on the top floor of a parking garage at night, a waist-high cream concrete wall, city lights far behind, the moon in the dark sky, with the same camera moves, framing, timing and moves. The ONLY change: the singer is now the person in [Image 1]. THE SINGER performs an over-the-top emo rock version of a country love song straight to the camera, with total heartbroken commitment. From [Video 1] take ONLY the place, the light, the FRAMING, the CAMERA and the PERFORMANCE: every jump, bounce, lean, squat, arm and hand move, head throw and every opening and closing of the mouth and jaw, at exactly the same moments. [Image 1] replaces the man who sings (black cowboy hat, long locs, black T-shirt and jeans, cowboy boots), in EVERY frame: copy the exact face from [Image 1] (the face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles), and the clothes and shoes from [Image 1]. The same real person from the first second to the last, so their friends recognize them at once, also with the eyes squeezed shut and the mouth wide open. Never morph, never drift back to the original singer's face. NO cowboy hat, NO long locs, NO cowboy boots and NO gold chain unless [Image 1] shows them. THE SINGER's hair stays EXACTLY the length and style in their photo for the whole video: short hair stays short, never growing past the ears or into a mullet, through every jump, head throw and the kneel. [00:00-00:01] hands on the wall behind, a deep squat-bounce, then springs forward. [00:01-00:04] close to the camera, both hands up by the face in rock-and-roll horns, screaming the line with the mouth WIDE open. [00:04-00:07] turns half sideways, hands clasped and pleading at the chest, then the arms swing down, heartbroken. [00:07-00:12] back against the wall, gripping it, bouncing and squatting, the head thrown back on the long notes. [00:12-00:14.5] arms crossed in an X in front of the body, then a hand to the chest, laughing-screaming. [00:14.5-00:17] lunges toward the camera and swings down low as the camera follows. [00:17-00:20] drops to one knee on the ground, singing to the floor with one hand gesturing, completely broken. THE SINGER's mouth opens and closes EXACTLY with the singing in [Video 1]: open on every sung word, WIDE on the screamed notes, closed in the breaths. Faces match the emo performance: pained brows, squeezed eyes, screaming mouth, a few manic grins. Only the back leans on the wall: never climbing on it or leaning over it. 真人实拍、五官清晰、面部稳定、不扭曲、不变形、同一角色、服装一致、发型不变. Avoid: any hat THE SINGER's photo does not show, hair longer than in THE SINGER's photo, captions, subtitles, on-screen text, logos, other people or animals, morphing, facial distortion, extra limbs, watermarks. One head only, five fingers on each hand.

What happens in the Choosin' Texas emo version AI video, second by second?

The video copies 20 seconds of the viral reel shot for shot, vertical, one handheld take, with you as the singer:

SecondsWhat happens
0-1Hands on the wall behind you, a deep squat-bounce, then you spring forward
1-4Close to the camera, both hands up in rock horns, screaming the line
4-7Half sideways, hands clasped and pleading, then the arms swing down
7-12Back against the wall, bouncing and squatting, the head thrown back on the long notes
12-14.5Arms crossed in an X, then a hand to the chest, laughing
14.5-17A lunge to the camera and a swing down low
17-20Down on one knee, singing to the floor, completely broken

The rooftop, the city lights, the moon and the shaky phone camera stay as in the reel; only the singer changes. The emo singing goes back on after the run, on the same seconds, so the mouth moves with the song. The videos come from top-quality AI video models, including Seedance 2.5. Every run is a new take, so results differ a little.

Posting tips: sound, hashtags and caption

The video comes with the emo singing from the reel, on the same seconds. You can turn it off on the result screen and pick a sound on TikTok when you post instead. The song is Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" and belongs to its owners, and the emo cover is @kobbapot's performance; MakeViral gives you no rights to either, so check the platform's music rules before you use the clip in an ad or a paid post.

Hashtags: #choosintexas (46,208 videos and 714.6 million views on 25 October 2026), #choosingtexas and #emocover. Keep the platform's AI label on: the video is AI-made.

Caption ideas: "If Choosin' Texas was emo", "Emo choosin Texas remix, my turn" or "POV: the country song hit different on the roof". It works as a challenge: tag a friend to make theirs.

FAQ

Choosin' Texas Emo AI trend questions

What is the Choosin' Texas emo version trend?
It is the emo Choosin' Texas remix by @kobbapot: a man in a black cowboy hat sings Ella Langley's country hit as a screaming emo rock song on a parking garage roof at night, with rock horns, bounces and a drop to one knee. He posted it on 29 September 2026 and it has 13.2 million views. People also call it the Choosin' Texas emo cover, the choosin texas emo remix, emo choosin texas or "if Choosin' Texas was emo", and many spell it choosing texas emo.
How do I make the Choosin' Texas emo version AI video?
Press "Create your own", add one photo of yourself and press Generate; the button shows the price first. You get a 20-second choosin texas emo ai video of you singing on the rooftop, with the emo singing on the sound. No editing and no prompt to write.
Is the original reel AI?
No. @kobbapot filmed it for real with a phone, in one take. There was no AI copy of the choosin texas emo trend with real views when we built this page, so the example is his own reel, credited. Your video is AI-made: it puts you in his place.
Do I have to sing?
No. The video uses the singing from the reel, and your mouth moves with it. You do not record anything. It is not your voice: it is the emo cover from the reel, put back on after the run.
Do I get the cowboy hat?
Only if your photo has one. The video keeps your own hair and clothes, so it adds no hat, no long locs and no boots that your photo does not show. For the full look of the reel, wear a black cowboy hat and black clothes in your photo.
Is this the choosin texas guy version tiktok people talk about?
If you mean the guy who sings it emo on a rooftop at night with a cowboy hat, yes: that is @kobbapot's reel of 29 September 2026, and this template copies it. Every other choosin texas tiktok version is a different thing: the band covers, the choosin texas parody tiktok clips and the dance remixes.
Is it the same as a choosin texas rock version?
Close, but not the same. Many bands and singers posted a choosin texas rock cover or a choosin texas rock remix in 2026 (people even search for a choosin texas rock cover male version), and a choosing texas emo cover by a band is a song, not a meme. The emo version here is one reel, sung by one man to a phone, with the over-the-top moves. This template makes that reel with you in it.
Is Ella Langley in my video?
No. The trend uses her song, and many people search her name with it, but our video never shows her, and it is not an official clip. It has no tie to her or her label. You are the only singer in the video.
Can a woman sing it?
Yes. Any adult can. The video keeps the gender, face, hair and body from your photo and does the same moves in a way that fits you, in your own clothes.
Can I make it with my pet?
Not yet. No pet version of the emo cover has taken off on TikTok, so we have no pet reel to copy. If one does, we will add it here. For a pet that sings now, try the Singing dog trend.
What do I need to sing choosin texas with your photo?
One photo of one adult, face to the camera, sharp and well lit; waist up or full body is best. The video is vertical 9:16, 20 seconds, 720p, with the emo singing, and it takes up to several minutes. It is ready to post as a choosin texas emo tiktok or as a choosin texas tiktok trend video.
