MakeUGC alternative

MakeUGC Alternative: MakeViral vs MakeUGC (2026)

MakeUGC and MakeViral both turn a script into a UGC-style video with an AI creator. MakeUGC starts at $59 a month, or $29 a month billed annually, and opens with a $1 trial. MakeViral is $49.99 a month for 500 credits, and bills 2 credits per second of speech.

The short answer

Which one should you buy?

Two honest lists. Read the one that sounds like you and stop there.

Choose MakeUGC if

  • You need a big cast. MakeUGC lists 1000+ realistic AI creators on every platform plan. MakeViral ships 12 creator presets plus personas you generate or upload, so it cannot match that range.
  • You want an API with a price on it. MakeUGC publishes API Starter at $99/mo for 2,000 credits and API Pro at $299/mo for 6,000 credits with 5x concurrency. MakeViral has no API at all.
  • You will commit to a year. Start up drops to $29 a month billed annually, Growth to $39 and Pro to $79. That $29 rate is below MakeViral's $49.99 monthly plan.
  • You need resolution and throughput. Every platform plan lists HD, 2K and 4K export and parallel generation up to 10 videos and 10 images. MakeViral's talking video renders at 720p.
  • You want product-in-hand video, PDF to Video and a Video Agent. Those sit on MakeUGC Pro at $149 a month. MakeViral animates a product still for 8 seconds and stops there.

Choose MakeViral if

  • You want to know what one video costs. MakeViral prices every action: 2 credits per second of speech, 2 for a product-in-hand still, 6 for an 8-second animation. MakeUGC sells credits without publishing a per-video rate.
  • You dislike countdown pricing. On the day we checked, the MakeUGC page carried a 30% off 24-hour countdown, 50% OFF labels on all three platform plans and bundled unlimited periods, so the listed prices look promotional.
  • You read the small print on trials. MakeUGC's own FAQ says unlimited only activates after the $1 trial ends and the first full billing cycle begins. MakeViral has no trial and no gated allowance.
  • You want more than one format in a subscription. The same credits render 8 faceless video formats and conversation ads at 10 credits each, AI images from 1 credit and slideshows at 1 credit per slide.
  • You want a small purchase with no renewal. A $9.99 pack of 100 credits buys about five 10-second talking ads. MakeUGC's entry is a $1 trial that rolls into $59 a month unless you cancel.

What each one costs

MakeUGC

Start up $59/mo, or $29/mo billed annually, 500 credits. Growth $79/mo, or $39/mo annually, 1,000 credits. Pro $149/mo, or $79/mo annually, 2,000 credits, with 3,000 and 5,000 steps whose prices are not shown. Enterprise is quoted. Separate API plans: API Starter $99/mo, or $50/mo annually, and API Pro $299/mo, or $150/mo annually. No zero-dollar plan; the entry is a $1 trial, 72 hours on monthly and 24 hours on annual. The page carried heavy discount labels on the day we checked, so what you see may differ.

MakeViral

$49.99/mo for 500 credits and $199.99/mo for 3,000, plus a $9.99 pack of 100 credits with no subscription. New accounts start with 0 credits. Cancel anytime, 14-day refund window on unused credits.

What is the difference between MakeUGC and MakeViral?

Both products answer the same request: give me a person on camera saying my script. MakeUGC does it with a large cast and a deeper video pipeline. You write a script, pick one of 1000+ AI creators, and generate. Around that sit custom AI avatars, B-roll video, product-in-hand shots, gesture video and AI workflows, plus a Video Agent and PDF to Video on the Pro plan.

MakeViral's AI influencer generator is narrower. In the AI creator workspace you build a persona, meaning a 9:16 portrait plus a voice, and then produce:

  • a product-in-hand still for 2 credits
  • an optional 8-second 720p animation of that still for 6 credits
  • a talking video lip-synced to your script at 2 credits per second of speech, 3 to 15 seconds
  • a hook plus demo stitch for 2 credits

The 15-second ceiling per take is the hard limit to know about. MakeUGC does not publish a length limit on its pricing page, but its 4K export and 10-way parallel generation point at a heavier pipeline than MakeViral runs.

Where MakeViral is wider is outside the creator workflow. The same subscription renders 8 faceless video formats and conversation ads at 10 credits each, AI images from 1 credit and slideshows at 1 credit per slide. MakeUGC makes creator videos and stops. See the AI UGC creator page.

What does MakeUGC cost in September 2026?

Read on makeugc.ai/pricing on September 17, 2026, with both billing toggles checked. The annual column is the vendor's own per-month figure under the Annually toggle. The page never states a total yearly charge, so do not multiply it and assume that is the invoice.

MakeUGC planMonthlyAnnual, per monthCreditsNotable
Start up$59$29500 a month1000+ AI creators, 50+ languages, selected models, HD, 2K and 4K, unlimited AI scripts
Growth$79$391,000 a monthAll AI models, batch mode

MakeUGC also publishes API plans separately, and it is the only one of the three tools here that does:

API planMonthlyAnnual, per monthCredits
API Starter$99$502,000, 500+ AI creators
API Pro$299$1506,000, 5x concurrency
API EnterpriseQuotedQuotedCustom

One caveat on all of these numbers. On the day we checked, the page ran a 30% off countdown with a 24-hour timer, showed 50% OFF labels on all three platform plans, and bundled unlimited periods into the cards. The listed monthly prices already look like promotional prices, so the figure you see may not match this table.

What exactly is the MakeUGC $1 trial?

MakeUGC has no zero-dollar plan. The entry point is a $1 trial, and the pricing cards render it as a price swap, for example Pro shown as $149 reduced to $1 per month, renewing at $149.

Two details decide whether it is a good deal for you.

It is short. The trial runs 72 hours if you picked a monthly plan and 24 hours if you picked an annual one. A day is not long to test an ad workflow, so plan the session before you start it.

Unlimited is gated. The MakeUGC FAQ states that unlimited only activates after your $1 trial ends and your first full billing cycle begins. So the headline unlimited on the cards is not what you get during the trial.

MakeViral takes a different route and it is not a better one for everybody: there is no trial, no zero-dollar tier, and a new account starts with 0 credits. What it does publish is the exit. Cancel anytime, with a 14-day refund window on unused credits, and a $9.99 pack of 100 credits if you want to test without starting a subscription at all. See the pricing page.

What does a UGC ad cost on MakeViral?

MakeViral publishes the credit cost of every action, so you can do the arithmetic before you pay. A credit is about $0.10 on the $49.99 plan and about $0.067 on the $199.99 plan.

What you make in /influencerCreditsOn the $49.99 planOn the $199.99 plan
AI creator portrait2$0.20$0.13
Product-in-hand still2$0.20$0.13
8-second 720p animation6$0.60$0.40
Talking video, per second of speech2$0.20$0.13
A 15-second talking ad30$3.00$2.00
Hook plus demo stitch2$0.20$0.13

A full build, meaning a portrait, a product-in-hand still, a 15-second talking take and a stitch, is 36 credits: $3.60 on the $49.99 plan and $2.40 on the $199.99 plan. The 500-credit plan covers 13 of those a month, the 3,000-credit plan covers 83. Shorter ads cost less, because you pay by the second: a 6-second hook is 12 credits, about $1.20.

You cannot put a MakeUGC number beside those, and we will not invent one. Both tools sell credits, but a credit means a different thing on each service, and MakeUGC does not publish how many credits one video costs. Comparing 500 MakeUGC credits at $59 with 500 MakeViral credits at $49.99 would be a meaningless sum. Ask MakeUGC for the per-video rate before you decide. The formats are collected on the UGC ads index and the AI product video generator.

Where does MakeUGC beat MakeViral?

Five real gaps in MakeViral, stated plainly.

A far larger cast. 1000+ AI creators against 12 presets plus your own portraits. If your process is to test many faces against one script, MakeUGC has the inventory.

A published API. API Starter at $99 a month and API Pro at $299 a month, with credits and concurrency listed. MakeViral has no API and no webhooks, so nothing generates from your backend or on a schedule.

Higher resolution and more throughput. MakeUGC lists HD, 2K and 4K on every platform plan and parallel generation up to 10 videos. MakeViral's talking video renders at 720p on Kling Avatar.

A cheaper annual commitment. $29 a month billed annually on Start up is below MakeViral's $49.99 monthly plan, and Growth at $39 is too. If you know you will use it all year, that is real money.

More video tooling. Product-in-hand video, gesture video, B-roll, PDF to Video and a Video Agent on Pro. MakeViral animates a still for 8 seconds and has no long-form output at all. For the ad-platform version of this gap, see the Creatify comparison, and for a vendor that publishes no price at all, see the Arcads AI comparison.

Is MakeUGC worth it in 2026?

Yes, if you need cast size, resolution or an API, and you are comfortable buying from a page that is running a countdown. $29 a month billed annually is a genuinely low entry for 500 credits and 1000+ creators, and the published API pricing is something neither of the other two tools on this site offers.

The cautions are about what the page does not tell you. It does not say how many credits a video costs, so you cannot forecast your spend. It does not mention watermarks or seats at all. The advertised prices sat under a 30% countdown and 50% off labels on the day we checked, so treat any figure here as the price on that date, not a rate card.

MakeViral is the smaller, more predictable purchase: a published price for every action, per-second billing that rewards short hooks, no watermark on paid plans, and a 14-day refund window on unused credits, in exchange for a small cast, 720p talking video and a 15-second ceiling. Start with the AI UGC ad generator or the AI avatar video generator, read how to make UGC ads with AI and how to go viral on TikTok, then compare the rest on the alternatives index.

FAQ

MakeUGC questions

How much does MakeUGC cost?
Read on makeugc.ai/pricing on September 17, 2026: Start up $59 a month or $29 billed annually for 500 credits, Growth $79 or $39 for 1,000 credits, Pro $149 or $79 for 2,000 credits, and a quoted Enterprise tier. API plans are priced separately at $99 and $299 a month.
What is the MakeUGC $1 trial?
It is the entry point instead of a zero-dollar plan. You pay $1 and get 72 hours on a monthly plan or 24 hours on an annual one, then the plan renews at full price. Their FAQ states that unlimited only activates after the trial ends and the first full billing cycle begins.
Does MakeUGC have a plan that costs nothing?
No. The pricing page lists no zero-dollar tier on September 17, 2026. The cheapest way in is the $1 trial, which rolls into $59 a month on Start up unless you cancel first. MakeViral has no zero-dollar tier either, and a new account starts with 0 credits.
Does MakeUGC put a watermark on videos?
The pricing page does not say. Watermark rules are not mentioned anywhere on it, on any plan, so we will not guess. Ask MakeUGC in writing before you buy. MakeViral applies no watermark on any paid plan, which is stated on its pricing page.
Does MakeUGC have an API?
Yes, and it publishes the price, which is unusual in this category. API Starter is $99 a month, or $50 billed annually, for 2,000 credits and 500+ AI creators. API Pro is $299 a month, or $150 annually, for 6,000 credits and 5x concurrency. MakeViral has no API.
How many AI creators does MakeUGC have?
The pricing page lists 1000+ realistic AI creators on every platform plan, and API Starter lists 500+. MakeViral ships 12 creator presets, plus personas you generate from a prompt or build from an uploaded portrait. If cast size drives your testing, that gap is the deciding factor.
Does MakeViral have a trial?
No. MakeViral has no trial and no zero-dollar tier, and a new account starts with 0 credits. The nearest equivalent is the $9.99 pack of 100 credits, which needs no subscription and buys about five 10-second talking ads. Cancel anytime, with a 14-day refund window on unused credits.
Can I use MakeUGC and MakeViral together?
Yes. Both hand you downloadable files, so neither blocks the other. A reasonable split is MakeUGC for cast variety, 4K output and API volume, and MakeViral for short per-second hooks plus the faceless videos, chat ads, images and slideshows MakeUGC does not make.
