Fake iMessage Screenshot Generator

The canvas is an iPhone screen, 390 by 844 points, and every piece of it is yours to set.

The thread. A contact name sits at the top, above a circular avatar that shows that contact's initials. Under the header you can print a time label, the stamp iOS puts above the first message of a session.

The bubbles. Every message is either sent or received. Sent bubbles are iOS blue with a tail, aligned right. Received bubbles are gray, aligned left. You add messages, delete the ones that do not work, and reorder them until the conversation reads the way you want.

The receipt. Under the last sent message you can show nothing, Delivered, or Read. That one word carries a lot. A blue bubble marked Read with no reply under it is a whole story by itself.

The status bar. Set the clock, the battery percentage and the signal bars. A 4% battery at 3:48 AM says something your message text no longer has to.

The extras. Switch on a typing indicator when the thread should end on someone about to answer. Switch on the keyboard when the shot should look like a live screen instead of a scroll-back.

Light mode and dark mode both render. Dark mode reads as late at night, which is why most of the threads that travel use it.

Six steps, and all of them happen on this page.

1. Type the contact name. The avatar circle picks up the initials by itself, so a name is all you need.
2. Add the messages in order. Add a bubble, type the line, mark it sent or received. Repeat until the thread is done. Anything in the wrong place can be reordered or deleted.
3. Set the receipt on the last sent message. None, Delivered, or Read. Pick the one that fits the ending you want.
4. Set the time label and the status bar. The label above the thread, then the clock, the battery percentage and the signal bars.
5. Choose light or dark mode, then turn on the typing indicator or the keyboard if the shot calls for them.
6. Download the PNG. The file renders at a 3x pixel ratio, roughly 1170 by 2532 pixels, which is full iPhone resolution.

There is no sign-up step and no export limit. Change one line and download again as many times as you want.

A thread only works if the premise is clear in the first two bubbles. These ten open fast.

1. The wrong number. A stranger texts about a surprise party, and every detail matches your life.
2. The car in the driveway. A friend says they are miles away, then asks why your car is parked outside.
3. The group chat leak. Someone sends a message about you into the chat you are sitting in.
4. The landlord. Polite requests to inspect the apartment that get less polite with every refusal.
5. The ex at 6am. One message at 6:00, read at 6:01, answered at 6:04.
6. The delivery driver. Cheerful photo updates from a doorstep that is not yours.
7. The recruiter. A pitch that sounds great until the company name arrives in the ninth message.
8. The babysitter. Everything is fine, the kids are asleep, and one small detail is wrong.
9. The refund dispute. A customer and a store, both perfectly polite, one of them lying.
10. The recommendation. A friend explains why they canceled three subscriptions after finding one app.

Run each premise as its own screenshot. Two stories in one thread weakens both.

A still screenshot is the first frame of a video. What you download is a mockup for content. It is not a real message and it never was one.

Do not use it to deceive anyone. Do not put a real person's name, number, photo or handle in the thread. Do not present the image as evidence in a dispute, a report or a claim, and do not use it to make a real company look like it said something it did not.

Invented people, invented conversations, posted as content. That is the line, and it is not a hard one to stay on.
