Which photo works best?

You takes one photo of yourself. You + your car takes two: you first, then your car.

  • Your photo: an adult, the face big, sharp and turned to the camera, in good light. Head and shoulders or from the waist up is best, because the reel shows you from the waist up in the window. No sunglasses, mask or hat over the face.
  • Your car photo: the whole car in view, from the side or a front corner, in daylight, with nobody in front of it. Any car works: a sedan, a hatchback, an SUV or a pickup. A car with rear doors fits the reel best.
  • Use your own photo, or one of an adult friend who said yes. Never a child or a teen: this trend shows alcohol.
  • It is an AI video. Never lean out of a moving car for real.

Where did the Champagne Car Window trend start?

The trend comes from Russian-speaking Instagram. On 1 October 2026, @marina_yaptunay posted a 9-second reel with the file name "в трендах" ("trending"): on a wet highway at night she sits in the open rear window of a dark burgundy SUV, raises a bottle of champagne with both arms, pops it, sprays a tall jet into the rain, drinks until it runs down her chin and throws the bottle away while a man drives. Instagram marks the reel as age-restricted because of the alcohol. It had 135,303 likes by 20 October.

The AI remakes started the next day. @ai.creatorledii posted an AI version with a man who sits on the outside of a black SUV, pops and drinks, with the caption line "Только так и не иначе" ("only like this and no other way"). Commenters asked for the prompt in English, Spanish and Russian. Within days, Russian AI preset sites sold the scene as a one-photo preset called "Шампанское на ходу", champagne on the go, and AI creators posted their own champagne car trend clips on TikTok, some with a Happy Birthday title at the end.

Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: a wide highway at night in the rain, rows of street lights, shiny wet asphalt, filmed with a handheld phone from a car driving right next to a dark burgundy matte boxy luxury SUV, with the same framing, camera moves and timing, one continuous shot with no cuts. The ONLY change: the woman with long dark hair in the black jacket who leans out of the SUV's rear window is now the person in [Image 1]. The SUV, the driver, the rain, the road and the lights stay exactly as in [Video 1], with no badges. The one in the window = the person in [Image 1], in EVERY frame: copy the exact face from [Image 1] (the face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles) exactly as in the photo. They wear the clothes from [Image 1], and their own hair blows in the wind. The same real person from the first frame to the last, so their friends instantly recognize them, also when the hair blows across the face, when they drink and inside the spray. Never morph, never drift back to the original woman's face. No long dark hair, no black jacket and no low-cut black top unless [Image 1] shows them. The driver at the wheel stays the small figure behind the front side window, as in [Video 1], and never gets the face from [Image 1]. The moves, matching the reference second by second: 0-1.5 s: the person sits on the frame of the open rear window of the SUV, leans far out and holds a champagne bottle high overhead with both arms straight up, the hair streaming back. 1.5-3.5 s: brings the bottle down to the chest and works the cork loose with both thumbs, smiling, the hair blowing. 3.5-4.3 s: the cork pops and a tall jet of foam shoots high into the night sky, then the spray bursts around the head. 4.3-6 s: tips the head back and drinks straight from the bottle; the champagne runs down the chin and drips down the door of the SUV. 6-6.5 s: throws the bottle high into the air behind the car with one arm. Anatomy rules: one head only, on the person's own shoulders; two arms, five fingers on each hand. Exactly one person in the window and the one driver; no other people. A plain dark green champagne bottle with a plain gold foil top and no readable label. Nothing in the hands but the bottle, and no weapon of any kind. No badges, emblems or lettering on the car, no readable number plates, no text, no captions, no logos, no watermark.

What happens in your champagne car window video?

SecondsWhat happens
0 to 1.5Night, rain, a wide highway with rows of street lights. You sit in the open rear window of a dark luxury SUV, lean far out and hold the bottle high with both arms, your hair streaming back.
1.5 to 3.5You bring the bottle down and work the cork loose, smiling, while the camera car drives alongside.
3.5 to 4.3The cork pops and a tall jet of champagne shoots into the night sky.
4.3 to 6You tip your head back and drink straight from the bottle; it runs down your chin and down the car door.
6 to 6.5You throw the bottle high into the air behind the car.

This is a character swap of the real reel, not a new scene: top-quality AI video models, including Seedance 2.5, take the original clip and put you in the woman's place, with the same SUV, the same driver, the same rain and the same camera moves. The video is vertical 9:16, about 6.5 seconds, at 720p, ready for Reels and TikTok, with the reel's own sound put back on after the run.

Press "Create your own", add your photo and press Generate. The exact price shows on the Generate button before you spend anything. A run can take up to several minutes, and the video waits in your Library when it is ready.

You or You + your car: which version?

VersionPhotosWhat changes
You1You take the woman's place in the window of the dark burgundy SUV. Everything else stays as in the reel.
You + your car2You in the window, and the car from your second photo takes the SUV's place: the same rainy highway at night, the same camera car alongside.

You + your car is the champagne car trend with your car: the AI copies its shape, paint, wheels and lights from your photo and drives it in the SUV's lane, with you leaning out of its rear window. Badges and number plates are left off. A side or front-corner photo of the whole car in daylight works best. A two-door car has no rear window, so the result can look odd: run it again or use a photo of a car with rear doors.

Both versions copy the same cut of the reel and cost the same. The price shows on the Generate button of each version.

Champagne out of the car window: what do people call it?

There is no single name yet. It started as a champagne car trend Instagram reel, and the TikTok copies followed. In English people describe the scene: the champagne car trend, champagne out of car window, champagne out the window, the champagne car window clip or the champagne window trend. Some search it as a champagne in car trend or a car champagne trend, and some as the champagne highway trend, because every clip is filmed on a wide road at night. The car window trend and the TikTok car window trend tags also hold other car window clips, so the champagne words find this one better. As an AI clip it is the champagne car AI trend: an AI champagne car video made from one photo.

In Russian, where the trend started, the reel's file name was just "в трендах" ("trending"). People search шампанское из окна машины (champagne out of the car window), тренд с шампанским в машине (the champagne trend in the car), шампанское в машине or машина шампанское, and тренд с машиной (the car trend). The AI preset sites call it "Шампанское на ходу", champagne on the go.

It is not the champagne birthday trend: that one is a bottle popped on a park bench, then a black-and-white freeze with a Happy Birthday title. Many creators still put a birthday title at the end of their champagne car video, so if you want that, add it when you post.

FAQ

Champagne Car Window trend questions

What is the champagne car window trend?
A reel filmed from one car of a person in the next car: they lean out of the rear window of a moving luxury SUV on a highway at night, pop a bottle of champagne, spray it into the air, drink from it and throw the bottle. It started with a reel by @marina_yaptunay on Instagram on 1 October 2026, and AI creators remade it the next day.
How do I make the champagne car video with AI?
Press "Create your own", add one clear photo of yourself and press Generate. For your own car, pick You + your car and add a photo of the car as the second photo. The button shows the price first. You get a vertical video of about 6.5 seconds with the reel's sound. It can take up to several minutes, and you write no prompt.
Can I use my own car?
Yes. Pick You + your car and add a photo of your car after your own photo. The AI puts your car in the SUV's place, with you leaning out of its rear window, and leaves badges and number plates off. A photo of the whole car from the side or a front corner works best.
Is it safe to lean out of a car window with champagne?
No. Leaning out of a moving car is dangerous, and drinking in a car is against the law in many places. That is why this is an AI video: you get the clip from a photo and never do it for real. This trend shows alcohol, so it is for adults only.
Which AI model makes the video?
Top-quality AI video models, including Seedance 2.5. The model takes the original reel and your photo and swaps you into the clip, a character swap that keeps the highway, the rain, the car and the camera moves. The reel's own sound goes back on after the run. If a model refuses a photo, MakeViral tries a backup model.
What is the prompt for the champagne car trend?
No creator shared one: the AI creators of the trend sent their how-to in private messages, and the preset sites show none. We wrote our own prompt in the same style as our other reel copies, second by second along the original reel. It is on this page, and you write no prompt yourself.
How long is the video, and does it have sound?
About 6.5 seconds, vertical 9:16, at 720p. It has the original reel's sound, which you can turn off on the result screen and swap for your own song when you post.
Does the champagne car window video cost credits?
Yes. The Generate button shows the exact price before you spend anything, and if a video fails, the credits come back.
Will the woman from the original reel be in my video?
No. You take her place in the window. The driver of the SUV stays as a small figure at the wheel. MakeViral is not linked with @marina_yaptunay or @ai.creatorledii.
Is there an app for the champagne car window trend?
You need no extra app. MakeViral runs in the browser on your phone or computer: add a photo and it makes the whole champagne car window AI clip, ready to post on Instagram or TikTok.
Is this the champagne birthday trend?
No. The champagne birthday trend is a bottle popped on a park bench with a black-and-white freeze and a Happy Birthday title, and it has its own template on MakeViral. This one is the car window version on a night highway. You can still post it for a birthday and add your own title.
