This is the creator's own take, a real person, not a MakeViral result. You and Baby take only its moves and play them in your photo's own place; Pet puts your pet into this plaza at night. No two runs come out the same.

Which photo works best?

You need one photo: of yourself for You, of your baby for Baby, of your pet for Pet.

  • You and Baby: standing upright, head to toes if you can, face to the camera, arms away from the body. The video keeps the place and the frame of your photo, so a vertical photo with some room around you looks best: the dance has wide arms and a wide squat.
  • One person, nobody else. Crop out a friend, a parent's hands or a pet.
  • Good light, no blur. No sunglasses, no hat that hides the face, no beauty filter. Your clothes stay.
  • Pet: a sharp photo with the whole animal and the face in view. Fur colors and markings come from the photo.
  • Use only a photo of yourself, of your own child, of an adult who agreed or of your own pet. Never a celebrity, a stranger or someone else's child.

Where did the Pick It Up Dance trend start?

The Pick It Up Make It Jump dance runs on a beat that DJ Zackkk, a Dade County, Florida DJ, posted on TikTok on 23 April 2026 as "original sound - djzackkk" with the title "PICK IT UP TECO" on screen. The routine came months later: on 19 September 2026 a dancer who goes by lilcoco posted it with the caption "dc: me", dance credit: me, and other dancers soon credited "dc: @Lilcoco".

In October it became one of the big school and hallway dances on TikTok. @overlyyocean's solo take outdoors at night on 3 October passed 716,000 views, a duo take on 7 October reached 2.7 million, and a solo take filmed in an office reached 3.9 million views on 26 October. Captions quote the line "pick it up, make it jump, put yo hands up". By 30 October the sound was in about 14,000 videos.

The Pick It Up AI baby dance came next. From 27 October a CapCut AI baby template on the same sound spread in the US, and on 29 October three posts with the same "pick it up dance tutorial" caption reached 398,000, 289,000 and 274,000 views. Here it takes one photo.

  2. The dancer lilcoco posts the Pick It Up routine with "dc: me"; other dancers credit her with "dc: @Lilcoco".

Video prompt

Track the exact camera movement, framing, facial expressions and body movements from the video. Keep the face, hairstyle, body, clothing and overall appearance of the person in the reference image exactly the same, with no changes or distortion, and keep the background from the reference image. Keep every move of the dance in time with the beat: the bounce with the arms out, both arms thrown up with the hands locked over the head, the turn to show the back, the deep squat and the final jump with both hands up. Matching the video second by second: 0-2 s the person bounces on the spot with both arms stretched out to the sides at shoulder height; 2-3 s both arms go straight up and the hands meet over the head; 3-5.5 s the person turns their back to the camera, the hands still locked over the head, and bounces the hips to the beat; 5.5-7.5 s the arms come down and the person turns back to face the camera; 7.5-10 s a loose bounce on the spot facing the camera; 10-12.8 s the feet wide apart, a deep low squat with the knees out and the hands by the knees, bouncing to the beat; 12.8-14 s the person springs up, throws both arms high over the head and steps toward the camera. Natural proportions for the person in the photo: two arms and two hands with five fingers each, the same height and build as in the photo. The face stays the same person's face after the turn. No text or captions. No blue quarter-zip top, no red chest logo, no gray jeans and no big curly hair unless the reference image shows them. Exactly one person, no extra people. Output in 9:16 vertical format.

Video prompt

Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: the same wide brick-paved plaza at dusk, the deep blue evening sky, the round street lamps with their light flares, the dark car parked behind, the trees and the strip of lawn at the edges, the same evening light, the same fixed phone camera, framing, timing and dance moves, one continuous take with no cuts. The ONLY change: the one dancer in the middle of the plaza is now the pet in [Image 1]. [Image 1] is the sole look reference for the pet; [Video 1] is for the moves, the place and the camera only. The dancer = the pet in [Image 1], whole body, in EVERY frame: the same species and breed, head shape, muzzle, eyes, ears, fur colors, fur length and markings as in [Image 1], with the natural body volume and proportions of that animal: never flattened, squashed, stretched or merged with anything, so its owner instantly recognizes it, also when it turns its back to the camera and turns around again. It stands upright on its hind legs like a person the whole time. A dog stays a dog and a cat stays a cat. No blue top, no jeans, no shoes and no clothes unless [Image 1] shows them, no human hair, no human face, no human hands. Never drift back to the dancer of the original video. Track the exact camera movement, framing, facial expressions and body movements from the video, and keep every move of the dance in time with the beat. Matching the reference second by second: 0-2 s: it bounces on its hind legs with both front legs stretched out to the sides. 2-3 s: both front legs go straight up and the front paws meet over the head. 3-5.5 s: it turns its back to the camera, the paws still over the head, and bounces its hips to the beat. 5.5-7.5 s: the front legs come down and it turns back to face the camera. 7.5-10 s: a loose bounce on the spot, facing the camera. 10-12.8 s: hind legs wide apart, a deep low squat with the front paws by the knees, bouncing to the beat. 12.8-14 s: it springs up, throws both front legs high over the head and steps toward the camera on its hind legs. No dialogue throughout the entire video. No background music. Anatomy rules: one head only, one muzzle, natural teeth and tongue. Two hind legs and two front legs, furry paws covered in the pet's own fur, never human hands or fingers, no extra legs or paws. Exactly one animal, no people. No text, no captions, no logos, no watermark.

TimeThe move
0 to 2 sA bounce on the spot with both arms out to the sides ("pick it up").
2 to 3 sBoth arms go straight up and the hands meet over the head.
3 to 5.5 sThe turn: back to the camera, hands still locked overhead, hips bouncing.
5.5 to 7.5 sThe arms come down and the dancer turns back to the front.
7.5 to 10 sA loose bounce facing the camera.
10 to 12.8 sFeet wide, a deep low squat with the hands by the knees, bouncing ("make it jump").
12.8 to 14 sThe jump up with both hands high ("put your hands up") and a step toward the camera.

What each version gives:

What is the Pick It Up Make It Jump song?

The Pick It Up dance song is a club beat, not a radio single: DJ Zackkk, a DJ from Dade County, Florida, posted it on TikTok on 23 April 2026 as "original sound - djzackkk", with "PICK IT UP TECO" written on screen. People search it as pick it up make it jump song and pick it up make it jump tiktok song, because the TikTok sound has no other title.

Lyrics: the hook everyone quotes is the line "pick it up, make it jump, put your hands up", which is where the names Pick It Up, Make It Jump and Put Your Hands Up dance come from. Searches for make it jump pick it up lyrics look for that line; we could not find a full published lyric sheet.

Not the same song: Google also suggests ATEEZ's "Pick It Up" and older tracks with the same title. This trend uses only DJ Zackkk's TikTok sound.

The sound in your clip belongs to its owners, and MakeViral gives you no rights to it. Check the music rules of each platform before you use the clip in an ad or a paid post.

How is this different from the CapCut template and the other AI baby dances?

The Pick It Up dance CapCut template is closed: the tutorial posts only say "Tap CapCut, make the same video" and show no prompt. Here you add one photo in the browser, pick You, Baby or Pet, and the result comes back with the trend's sound.

The Lil T Jones dance and the AI baby dance pages have other routines on other songs. The Pick It Up AI baby dance is its own routine: hands locked over the head, the turn to the back, the low squat and the jump.

Is it safe to make an AI video of my baby? Use only a photo of your own child, or of a child whose parent or guardian asked you to. The result is AI-made and your baby never did these moves, so keep the AI label on when you post. MakeViral does not post your video anywhere: it goes to My videos, and you can delete it at any time.

What goes wrong, and how do you fix it?

ProblemFix
The arms or the head leave the frame in the jumpUse a photo with some space above your head and at the sides, and run it again.
A blue top, gray jeans or big curly hair show upThe dancer in the trend clip has them. The prompt bans them unless your photo has them; run it again.
The face looks different when the back turns to the camera and back againCommon after a turn. A sharp, front-facing photo helps; a second run comes out different.
The baby looks older or gets an adult body in the squatUse a sharp, upright, full-body photo of the baby and run it again.
The hands blur or get extra fingersCommon in fast arm moves. Run it again.
Pet: the pet drops onto four legs or gets human handsA clear photo with the whole body helps. Run it again.
The model refuses the photoSome photos get refused. The credits come back; try another photo.
