Which photo works best?

You need two photos for Duo and Two pets, and one for Solo and Baby.

  • Duo: photo 1 is the dancer on the left, who runs off to the side at the end. Photo 2 is the dancer on the right, who runs up to the camera at the end, so their face fills the frame. One person per photo, face sharp and to the camera. Your clothes come from your photos.
  • Solo: you alone, standing, head to toes in view. You dance in your photo's own place, in the clothes you wear in it.
  • Baby: your own baby, standing or held upright, the whole body in view, face to the camera.
  • Two pets: one pet per photo, whole body in view. Only one pet? Add the same photo twice and it dances with its twin.
  • Good light, no sunglasses and no hat over the face.
  • Use your own photo, a photo of an adult who said yes, your own baby or your own pet. Never a celebrity or a stranger.

Where did the Mickey D's Dance trend start?

The chant is older than the dance wave. Its TikTok sound, an "original sound" by the account takii, was created on 25 April 2018, and YouTube compilations of a "Mickey Mickey D challenge" (#mickeylikejhacari) went up on 12 March 2018. "Mickey D's" is American slang for McDonald's, and the words are a drive-through order: large number 3, don't forget the fries.

In October 2026 the sound came back as a two-person dance, the Mickey D's dance trend. A duo clip filmed in a US school hallway on 14 October reached 4.5 million views, and students, friends, teachers and families copied it in hallways, kitchens and parking lots. On 22 October the TikTok account @obengaffect posted two soldiers in uniform doing the routine in their barracks room; it had 160,700 views by 31 October.

By 31 October the sound was in 168,500 TikTok videos, and #mickeyds held 7,158 videos and 130.5 million views. From 19 October, CapCut posts promoted an AI template that makes a baby do the dance; one of them had 176,900 views by 31 October.

Video prompt

Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: one continuous take from the same fixed phone camera in a plain room with beige walls, a white ceiling light, a desk and chairs along the walls and an open doorway at the back, the same framing, timing and dance moves. The ONLY change: the man on the LEFT is now the person in [Image 1], and the dancer on the RIGHT is now the person in [Image 2]. Put the two people in the places of the two dancers in the video, left to right, and keep every move in sync and in time with the beat, from the first move to the final pose. Dancer 1 (LEFT) = the person in [Image 1], in EVERY frame: copy the exact face from [Image 1] (the face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles) exactly as in the photo. Keep the face, hairstyle, body, clothing and overall appearance of [Image 1] exactly the same, with no changes or distortion: they wear the clothes and shoes from [Image 1]. NO camouflage uniform, no combat boots, no name tape and no flag patch unless [Image 1] shows them. Dancer 2 (RIGHT) = the person in [Image 2], in EVERY frame: copy the exact face from [Image 2], with the same face details, exactly as in the photo, also in the big close-up at the end. They wear the clothes and shoes from [Image 2]. NO camouflage uniform, no combat boots, no name tape and no flag patch unless [Image 2] shows them. The same real people in every frame, from the first second to the last, so their friends instantly recognize them, also when they run. Never morph, never drift back to the original dancers' faces, never add or remove facial hair. Do not mix the two faces: [Image 1] is only dancer 1, [Image 2] is only dancer 2. Both change: no one from the video stays, also when a dancer runs out of the frame. Track the exact camera movement, framing, facial expressions and body movements from the video: the sharp arm hits, the hand gestures toward the camera and the quick hip and foot shifts, on the beat. 0-1 s: both stand side by side facing the camera, a small bounce, hands at the belly. 1-3.5 s: they roll and pat their hands at chest height, the hips swaying. 3.5-4.5 s: both hands up by the face in peace signs. 4.5-7 s: one arm high and waving, the other hand on the chest, then both arms swing overhead. 7-8 s: hands back to the waist, a quick step out. 8-9 s: they break and run: dancer 1 runs off to the left, dancer 2 runs straight at the camera, laughing, the face filling the frame. Anatomy rules: one head per person, on that person's own shoulders. A face never appears on knees, legs, hands or clothes. Exactly two dancers. No dialogue throughout the entire video. No background music. No text, no logos, no watermark.

One continuous single take, vertical video. Recreate the reference video exactly, but the dancer is the baby from the reference image instead of the man in the video: the same baby with the same face, hair, skin tone and clothes, in the place from the reference image. Track the exact facial expressions and body movements from the video: the baby reproduces the whole dance frame by frame with the same timing, the sharp arm hits, the hand gestures toward the camera and the quick hip and foot shifts, in time with the beat, from the first move to the final pose: hand rolls at chest height, two peace signs by the face, one arm waving high, both arms swinging overhead. The baby keeps real baby anatomy: a small chubby body, a big round head, short arms and legs and small baby hands, never an adult body. No camouflage uniform, no combat boots, no name tape and no flag patch. No side bars or borders, no cuts, no text, no captions on screen. Exactly one baby, no other people.

The ONLY change: the man on the LEFT is now the pet in [Image 1], and the dancer on the RIGHT is now the pet in [Image 2], each standing upright on its hind legs like a person the whole time. Pet 1 (LEFT) = the pet in [Image 1], whole body, in every frame: the same species and breed, head shape, muzzle, eyes, ears, fur colors, fur length, markings and body shape as in [Image 1], with the natural body volume and proportions of that animal: never flattened, squashed, stretched or merged with anything, so its owner instantly recognizes it. Pet 2 (RIGHT) = the pet in [Image 2], whole body, in every frame: the same species, breed, face, eyes, ears, fur colors, fur length, markings and body shape as in [Image 2], with the natural body volume of that animal, also in the big close-up at the end. If [Image 1] and [Image 2] show the same pet, both dancers are that same pet, side by side. Both change: no person from the video stays, no human face, no human hands, no camouflage uniform and no clothes unless the photo shows them. The dance, matching the reference second by second, on the beat, with the front paws as hands: 0-1 s: both stand side by side facing the camera, a small bounce. 1-3.5 s: they roll their front paws at chest height, the hips swaying. 3.5-4.5 s: both front paws up by the face. 4.5-7 s: one front leg high and waving, then both front legs swing overhead. 7-8 s: a quick step out. 8-9 s: they break and run: pet 1 runs off to the left, pet 2 runs straight at the camera, its face filling the frame. Anatomy rules: one head per pet, one tail each. Two hind legs on the floor and two front legs, no extra legs or paws, no human hands. Exactly two pets, no people. Natural balance, stable ground contact. No dialogue throughout the entire video. No background music. No text, no logos, no watermark.

What are the Mickey Mickey D's dance moves, second by second?

The routine fits the chant: "Mickey Mickey D's, large number 3, don't forget the fries". The Duo version copies the reel above, one fixed camera and one continuous take:

TimeWhat the two dancers do
0 to 1 sStand side by side, face the camera, a small bounce with the hands at the belly.
1 to 3.5 sRoll and pat the hands at chest height, the hips swaying on the beat.
3.5 to 4.5 sBoth hands up by the face, a peace sign in each.
4.5 to 7 sOne arm up high and waving, the other hand on the chest, then both arms swing overhead.
7 to 8 sHands back to the waist, a quick step out.
8 to 9 sThey break and run: one off to the side, one straight at the camera.

The straight face in the first half and the sudden run at the end are the joke. Solo and Baby take the same moves up to the run, about 8 seconds.

FAQ

Mickey D's Dance trend questions

What is the Mickey Mickey D's dance?
It is a viral two-person TikTok dance from October 2026. Two people stand side by side and do hand rolls, peace signs and arm waves to the chant "Mickey Mickey D's, large number 3, don't forget the fries", then run off. A school duo clip of 14 October 2026 had 4.5 million views by 31 October.
What does Mickey D's mean, and what is the song?
"Mickey D's" is American slang for McDonald's, and the chant is a drive-through order: large number 3, don't forget the fries. The TikTok sound is a short "original sound" by the account takii, created in April 2018. It is not the 2020 song "Micky D'z", so a micky d'z dance search often finds a different routine.
What are the Mickey Mickey D's large number 3 song lyrics?
The part everyone dances to is one line: "Mickey Mickey D's, large number 3, don't forget the fries". Most posts write it in the caption, often with fries and peace sign emoji.
How do I make the Mickey Mickey D's dance AI video?
Press "Create your own", pick Duo, Solo, Baby or Two pets, and add your photos. Press Generate; the button shows the price first. You get a 9 second clip (Duo, Two pets) or an 8 second clip (Solo, Baby) with the chant. You write no prompt, and the video waits in My videos when it is ready.
Can I do the Mickey D's dance with a friend?
Yes, that is Duo, the way the trend is meant to be done. Add a photo of you and a photo of your friend: the two of you take the places of the two dancers in the reel on this page, in your own clothes, and run off at the end. Use a friend's photo only with their OK.
Can I make my baby do the Mickey Mickey D's dance (the AI baby version)?
Yes, with Baby. The Mickey Mickey D's AI baby clips on TikTok come from a CapCut template; here you add one upright, full-body photo of your own baby, and the baby does the hand rolls, peace signs and arm waves in your photo's own place, with a small baby body. Use only a photo of your own child, or of a child whose parent asked you to.
Can my pets do the Mickey D's dance?
Yes, with Two pets. Add one photo per pet: both stand upright on their hind legs and do the routine side by side in the reel's room, with their own fur and markings. With one pet, add the same photo twice and it dances with its twin.
Is there a Mickey Mickey D's CapCut template?
Yes, CapCut templates of the baby version went around from 19 October 2026, but they are closed and work only inside the app. Here an AI video generator makes the dance from your photos, with the chant, and also does the two-person version.
Where does the background of the video come from?
Duo and Two pets copy the reel, so you dance in its beige room with one fixed camera. Solo and Baby keep your photo's own place and take only the moves, so a vertical photo gives a vertical clip.
What sound does my video have?
The chant of the clip it copies, put back on after the run. You can turn it off on the result screen. The sound belongs to its owners, and MakeViral gives you no rights to it.
How do I do the Mickey D's dance, step by step?
Stand next to your partner, roll your hands at chest height, throw up two peace signs on "large number 3", wave one arm high, swing both arms overhead, then break and run on "don't forget the fries". The table above has the moves second by second, like a short Mickey D's dance tutorial. Or add your photos and let the AI do it.
Is the Mickey Mickey D's dance a 2 person dance?
Yes. Most posts tag it #2persondance or #dancesfor2people, and it sits in every list of easy dances for 2 people: the routine is made for two people side by side. Solo and Baby are here for when you dance alone.
Where do I find the Mickey Mickey D's TikTok videos?
Search #mickeyds or the sound "original sound - takii" on TikTok: the sound was in 168,500 videos on 31 October 2026. The Mickey Mickey D's TikTok clip with the most views, a school duo, had 4.5 million by then.
Is the dance in the video real?
No. A Mickey Mickey D's AI dance is made from still photos, and you, your friend, your baby or your pets never did these moves. Use only your own photos or photos you have the OK for, and keep the AI label on when you post.
What else do people call the Mickey Mickey D's dance?
Many call it the Mickey D's dance, the Large Number 3 dance or the Don't Forget the Fries dance, after the chant, and the 2018 wave was the Mickey Mickey D challenge. On TikTok you also see it spelled Micky Micky Ds dance or Mickey Ds dance, and it turns up as a Mickey Mickey D's meme on Reels and Shorts.
