Upload one photo: of yourself for Human, of your pet for Pet.

  • Human: waist up or head to toes, face to the camera, sharp and in good light. Every copy in the video wears the clothes from your photo, so pick an outfit you like; a T-shirt and loose trousers look closest to the reel.
  • No sunglasses, no hat that hides the face and no beauty filter. One person in the photo.
  • Pet: one animal, head and body in view, eyes open, in daylight. The fur colors, ears and markings come from your photo.
  • Any background works: the taco restaurant, the table and the food come from the reel.
  • Use your own photo, a friend who said yes, or your own pet. Never a celebrity or a stranger.

Where did the Dougie Clone Dance trend start?

The Dougie is a hip-hop dance from Dallas that went worldwide in 2010 with Cali Swag District's "Teach Me How to Dougie". Dougie dance TikTok posts never really stopped: a group video asking "Can you teach me how to dougie?" passed 10.4 million views in March 2025, and #teachmehowtodougie now holds more than 80,000 videos.

In October 2026 the song came back through a Philippine mashup sound, "Na Para Bang X Teach Me How To Dougie", with dance posts of 96,800 views (5 October), 85,700 (10 October) and 50,900 (2 November).

The clone dance format is older: a CapCut tutorial for the clone dance from 27 November 2025 has 1.5 million views. This reel puts the two together. A guy eats tacos, unbothered, while ghost-like copies of him step out of his body and hit the Dougie behind him, then he grooves along. By 4 November 2026 the reel had become a one-photo template on AI video sites. The original poster of the reel is not known to us, so this page credits nobody for it.

Video prompt

Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: the same small taco restaurant at night, white tiled walls with a red lower half, the hand-painted wall lettering, the window behind, the metal table with a tray of tacos, salsa cups and a glass of dark red drink, the same fixed phone camera at table height, framing, timing and moves. One continuous shot, no cuts. The dancing copies keep the soft double-exposure clone effect of [Video 1]: semi-transparent, the wall shows through them. The ONLY change: the young man who eats at the table AND every see-through copy of him that dances behind him are now the person in [Image 1], like clones of the same person. [Image 1] replaces the man at the table and all of his see-through copies (the copy behind his shoulder at the start and the three that dance behind him), in EVERY frame: each of them has the exact face from [Image 1] (the face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles). All of them wear the clothes and shoes from [Image 1]. NO curly dark hair, no silver chain, no black T-shirt and no white trousers unless [Image 1] shows them. The same real person in every figure, from the first second to the last, so their friends recognize them at once: the one at the table is solid and sharp, the dancing copies are see-through, and every face is the face from [Image 1], also when a copy closes its eyes. Never morph, never drift back to the original man's face, never add facial hair. No one from the video stays. The performance, matching [Video 1] second by second, on the beat. Do not invent additional moves. 0-0.5 s: the person at the table leans over the tray and bites a taco; a see-through copy rises up behind them. 0.5-3 s: the copy stands behind their left shoulder, leans over them and waves a hand above their head, playful, while they keep eating. 3-5.5 s: the copy steps to the left and a second copy appears on the right by the red wall; the person at the table sits up, bounces the shoulders, closes the eyes, smiles and lifts one hand to the beat. 5.5-12 s: three see-through copies, on the left, in the middle at the back and on the right, do the Dougie in sync: one hand brushes back over the hair, the other arm swings loose, the shoulders lean side to side, then a fist pumps high into the air; the person at the table keeps eating tacos with both hands and bobs the head to the beat. The person at the table chews and smiles; nobody sings or talks. No dialogue throughout the entire video. No background music. Anatomy rules: one head per figure, on that figure's own shoulders. A face never appears on hands, arms or clothes. Exactly one solid person at the table and at most three see-through copies, all the same person. Five fingers on each hand, natural hands on the taco. No extra people, duplicate solid bodies, extra limbs or fused fingers. No captions, subtitles, watermark or readable brand logo; the wall lettering stays as in [Video 1].

The pet = the pet in [Image 1], in EVERY figure and EVERY frame: the same species and breed, face, eyes, ears, muzzle, fur colors, fur length and markings as in [Image 1], with the natural body volume and proportions of that animal: never flattened, squashed, stretched or merged with anything. Whether [Image 1] shows a dog, a cat or another animal, every figure stays that animal. The pet at the table sits upright on the chair, front paws on the table edge, and eats from the taco tray with its own mouth. The dancing copies are the same pet standing upright on its hind legs, see-through as in [Video 1], and they dance with their front paws. The same pet in every figure, from the first second to the last, so its owner instantly recognizes it. Never a human face, never human hands, never the original man. How many credits does it cost?

You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the video, made in one step from your photos and the trend clip, charged once. One video is 183 credits, so the smallest one-time pack that covers it is $39.99 for 450 credits, with no subscription. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video.

What happens in the Dougie clone dance video, second by second?

Each version copies the reel itself, one fixed shot of 12 seconds, and your photo becomes the person at the table and every see-through copy:

TimeHumanPet
0 to 3 sYou bite a taco while a see-through copy of you rises up behind you, leans over and waves a hand above your head.Your pet eats at the table while a see-through copy of it stands up behind it and waves a paw.
3 to 5.5 sA second copy appears by the red wall. You sit up, close your eyes and bounce to the beat.A second copy appears. Your pet sits up and lifts a paw to the beat.
5.5 to 12 sThree copies do the Dougie in sync behind you: a hand brushes back over the hair, the shoulders lean, a fist pumps up. You keep eating and bob your head.Three copies dance the Dougie on their hind legs, a paw over the ears, a paw pumped up. Your pet keeps eating.

How it works: the best AI video models available, including Seedance 2.5, edit the reel itself: they swap the person in every figure for the one in your photo and keep the restaurant, the moves and the camera. You get 12 seconds, vertical 9:16 at 720p, with the reel's song put back after the run. You can turn the song off on the result screen. A run takes 5 to 15 minutes, and the exact price shows on the Generate button before you spend anything. Every run is a new take, so results differ.

Human or Pet: which one should you make?

  • Human is the trend as it is: you at the table, unbothered, and three ghost-like versions of you dancing behind you. It works best with a sharp, front-facing photo, because four copies of your face are on screen at once.
  • Pet turns it into a pet meme: your dog or cat eats tacos while see-through copies of it stand up and do the Dougie with their paws. A calm, serious-looking pet is the funniest.

Caption ideas: "My soul when the tacos hit", "Me on the outside vs. me on the inside", "POV: you said you would eat quietly", "My dog when I open the fridge". Or write your own.

What goes wrong, and how do you fix it?

ProblemFix
One copy keeps the original guy's face or curly hairThe reel's guy has curly dark hair, a silver chain and a black T-shirt; the prompt bans them unless your photo shows them. Use a sharp, recent, front-facing photo and run it again.
The see-through copies are blurry or faintThat is the double-exposure look of the reel: the wall shows through the dancing copies. The face of the person at the table stays sharp.
Your face looks different on a copy far in the backThe back copy is small in the frame. A photo with the face big and clear helps most.
Your pet looks like a person on the dancing copiesThe prompt asks for the same animal standing up on its hind legs with paws. Run it again.
The model refuses a photoSome photos get refused. The credits come back; try another photo.

Which sound, caption and hashtags should you post it with?

Your clip comes with the reel's own sound, "Teach Me How to Dougie", the same 12 seconds, so it is ready to post. The song belongs to its owners, and MakeViral gives you no rights to it. Rules differ from platform to platform, so check them before you use the clip in an ad or a paid post. If you want the Philippine mashup, "Na Para Bang X Teach Me How To Dougie", turn our sound off and pick that sound on TikTok.

FAQ

Dougie Clone Dance trend questions

What is the Teach Me How to Dougie clone dance trend?
It is a reel where a guy eats tacos in a small taco restaurant while see-through copies of him rise up behind him and do the Dougie to "Teach Me How to Dougie" (Cali Swag District, 2010). People call it the Dougie clone dance, the clone dance effect, the soul leaving body dance or the ghost clone dance. This template puts you or your pet in every copy.
How do I make the clone dance AI video with my photo?
Press "Create your own", pick Human or Pet and add one clear photo. Press Generate; the button shows the price first. You get a 12-second clip with the song, and it waits in My videos when it is ready. You write no prompt.
Is there a Teach Me How to Dougie AI app or AI generator?
MakeViral works as a Teach Me How to Dougie AI generator in your browser: one photo in, the clone dance video out, with no app to install. The Dougie dance AI generator makes every copy from your photo, so you do not have to film yourself four times or edit layers in CapCut.
Can my dog or cat do the Dougie clone dance?
Yes. Pick Pet. Your pet sits at the taco table and eats, while see-through copies of it stand up on their hind legs and do the Dougie with their paws. Dogs, cats and other pets work. Use a sharp photo of one animal with the head and body in view.
Where does the Teach Me How to Dougie trend come from?
The song and the dance date from 2010, and the Dougie kept coming back on TikTok, for example in a group video with 10.4 million views from March 2025. In October 2026 the Philippine mashup sound "Na Para Bang x Teach Me How to Dougie" made it hot again, and the taco restaurant clone reel became an AI template by 4 November 2026.
How do you do the Dougie dance?
The Dougie is a loose, side-to-side dance: lean your shoulders left and right on the beat, keep the knees soft, and brush one hand back over your hair as you lean. In this video your clones do it for you, in sync, while you keep eating.
What is the clone dance effect on TikTok and Instagram?
A clone dance video shows several copies of the same person dancing in one frame. On TikTok and Instagram people usually film the dance several times and stack the layers in CapCut. Here the copies are see-through, like a double exposure, and the AI makes them all from one photo.
Is this a clone dance meme or a Dougie dance meme?
Both. It is a clone dance meme, because see-through copies of you appear in the frame, and a Dougie dance meme, because the copies do the Dougie while you calmly eat. The joke is the contrast: your body eats, your soul dances.
Is the guy from the original reel in my video?
No. The reel is only a hidden guide for the restaurant, the moves and the camera. Your face and clothes replace him at the table and in every dancing copy.
Does the video have the Teach Me How to Dougie song?
Yes. The result has the reel's own sound, "Teach Me How to Dougie", over the same 12 seconds. You can turn it off on the result screen.
How long is the video and what format is it?
12 seconds as an MP4, vertical 9:16 at 720p, with the song. It plays on TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and there is no watermark.
Does the Dougie clone dance video cost credits?
Yes. Each video costs credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. If a video fails, the credits come back.
Is the video real?
No. You, your clones and the scene are made by AI from one still photo, and nobody filmed it. Keep the AI label on when you post it.
