How to make the Dog Elevator Prank video on MakeViral

Everything runs in the browser. No editing app, no prompt to write, no watermark.

  1. Add the two photos

Press "Create your own" and add your pet, the prankster, then you, who get pushed in. Add them in this order, because the order decides who is who in the scene. Take them with the camera or pick them from your library.

  2. Press Generate

The button shows the price. Seedance 2.5 puts your photos into the Dog Elevator Prank trend clip and copies it shot by shot for 15 seconds, with the reel's original song. You write no prompt.

  3. Download or share

The video is ready in up to several minutes as a 9:16 MP4. Download it, share it from your phone, or find it later in My videos.

Which photo works best?

Photo 1 is the prankster, photo 2 is the one who gets pushed in. Keep that order.

  • Your pet: a sharp photo of the whole animal, or at least the head and front legs, in good light. Dogs, cats and other pets all work: the video stands them upright, as tall as the dog in the clip.
  • You: one person, face clear and turned to the camera, from the waist up or the whole body. Your clothes come along; the sneakers come off in the video, so shoes in the photo help.
  • Friend + you: use a photo of your friend (an adult) as photo 1 instead of the pet.
  • Pet only: one photo of your pet. The man in the clip stays as he is.
  • Avoid group photos, hats that hide the face and blurry or dark pictures.

Where did the Dog Elevator Prank trend start?

The dog elevator prank is an AI-made clip, not a real dog. It is one continuous phone shot in a lobby with pale yellow walls and steel lift doors: a golden dog walks upright beside a man in a black shirt, gives the back of his neck a slap, presses the call button and waits. He bends over to take off his white sneakers, and the dog pushes him into the lift with a hind paw, tosses the sneakers in after him and strolls past the camera.

Nobody has claimed the clip. The earliest post we found is a repost with an AI label by @amelioselena on TikTok on 2 November 2026 ("Who gave this Golden Retriever permission to operate the elevator?!"). On 4 November a YouTube tutorial called it the Instagram viral dog lift AI video, and on 5 November US tutorial accounts on TikTok shared it as a CapCut template, captioned "Giant upright dog pushes guy into the elevator". Other posts call it the dog pushes man into elevator clip. AI template sites added the same scene with a cow, a husky and a bear. It is an early trend: the posts are still small, in the hundreds and low thousands of views.

Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: the same lobby with the pale yellow walls, the grey stone floor and the steel lift doors, the same handheld phone camera, framing, timing and moves, in one continuous take. The ONLY change: the big dog that walks upright on its hind legs is now the pet in [Image 1], and the man it walks with is now the person in [Image 2]. The prankster = the pet in [Image 1], whole body, in EVERY frame: the same species and breed, face, eyes, ears, muzzle, fur colors, fur length and markings as in [Image 1], with the natural body volume and proportions of that animal: never flattened, squashed, stretched or merged with anything, so its owner instantly recognizes it. It walks and stands upright on its hind legs, as tall as the dog in [Video 1], and uses its front paws like hands. Never drift back to the dog of [Video 1]: not the coat, the face or the ears of the dog in the video unless [Image 1] shows them. The beats, matching the reference second by second: 0-2 s: at the closed lift doors, the one who gets pranked leans toward the doors; the pet stands upright behind and gives the back of their neck a playful slap. 2-4 s: the one who gets pranked straightens up and turns around, puzzled. 4-7 s: the pet reaches past and presses the lift call button with a front paw, calm and proud; the doors open. 7-10 s: the one who gets pranked bends over and pulls off both sneakers. 10-11 s: the pet gives a soft comic push with a hind paw, and the one who gets pranked stumbles into the lift and lands sitting on the floor, stunned, not hurt. 11-13 s: the pet picks up the sneakers and tosses them into the lift after them. 13-15 s: the pet walks past the camera, pleased. A playful comedy prank: nobody gets hurt, no injury, no blood. No dialogue throughout the entire video. No background music. Anatomy rules: one head per character, on its own shoulders. No extra people, no extra animals, no extra limbs, no text, no logos, no watermark.

Why the dog elevator meme works

The joke is a polite, helpful dog that turns on its owner: it holds the button like a doorman, waits patiently, and then the push. The dog in elevator funny clips people share are usually real dogs scared of lifts; this one is the reverse, a dog that runs the lift. Your own pet in that role, with your own face on the floor of the lift, is what makes it worth sending to friends.

The push is a soft, comic one. The prompt asks for a fall onto the lift floor with no injury, and the person sits there stunned, not hurt.

What goes wrong, and how do you fix it?

FAQ

Dog Elevator Prank trend questions

What is the dog elevator prank?
It is an AI video trend in which a big dog walks upright to a lift with its owner, presses the button, waits while he takes off his sneakers, then pushes him into the lift and throws the shoes in after him. Here you can make it with your own pet and your own photo.
Where did the dog elevator meme come from?
From an AI-made dog elevator video that nobody has claimed. The earliest post we found is a TikTok repost by @amelioselena on 2 November 2026. By 5 November it was a CapCut template, and template sites had made cow, husky and bear versions of it.
How do I make the dog elevator prank AI video?
Press "Create your own", pick Pet + you, add a photo of your pet as photo 1 and a photo of you as photo 2, and press Generate. The button shows the price first. You get a 15-second vertical video in My videos, with the clip's sound.
Is the dog lift AI video the same trend?
Yes. In India the lift is the elevator, so the Instagram tutorials call it the dog lift AI video or the dog lift prank. It is the same clip: the dog lift AI scene with the button, the sneakers and the push.
Can my cat do the elevator prank?
Yes. Add your cat as photo 1. The video stands your cat upright, as tall as the dog in the clip, and it presses the button and pushes you in. A cat elevator prank works the same way as the dog one.
Can a friend be the prankster instead of a dog?
Yes. Pick Friend + you and add your friend (an adult) as photo 1. Your friend does every move of the dog with hands and feet: where the dog presses the elevator button with a paw, your friend uses a finger, then pushes you in.
What is the golden retriever elevator AI clip?
It is the original clip of the trend: an AI golden retriever that walks upright, which is why some posts call it the giant upright dog elevator video. Your own pet replaces it in your video, with its own fur and face.
Is there a dog elevator CapCut template?
Yes, tutorial accounts share one on TikTok. You do not need it here: add your photos in the browser and press Generate, with no CapCut, no template link and no app.
Does the dog kick the owner hard?
No. The prompt asks for a soft, comic push: the person stumbles into the lift and sits on the floor, stunned, not hurt. Like the dog kicks owner into elevator original, it is an AI-made joke, not a real dog.
Is this an AI dog prank video?
Yes: an AI dog prank video set in a lift, made from your photos. For an elevator prank AI video with no pet, pick Friend + you, and your friend plays the dog's part.
How long is the video, and does it have sound?
It is 15 seconds, vertical 9:16, at 720p. The clip's own sound (footsteps, the push and the shoes landing) goes back on after the run, and you can turn it off on the result screen.
Which prompt does this template use?
No creator shared a prompt: the clip is AI-made and nobody has claimed it. The prompt starts from the one template sites publish for this clip ("Replace the character on the left in the video with the character from the init_image...") and adds lines that keep your pet's look, your face and the clip's moves.
Does the dog elevator prank cost credits?
Yes. The create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. If a video fails, the credits come back.
Are my photos private?
Yes. MakeViral does not post your photos or the result anywhere or show them to other users. The video goes to your private My videos page, and you can delete it there at any time.
