Which photo works best?

Upload one photo: of yourself for Human, of your dog or cat for Pet.

  • Human: a sharp photo of you alone, from the chest up, face to the camera or turned a little, in daylight. The reel shows you mostly from the side, so a clear jaw line, nose and hairstyle help the AI keep your face in every cut.
  • Your clothes do not matter: the six outfits come from the reel, not from your photo. Your face, hair, beard and skin tone stay yours.
  • Pet: one animal, head and chest in view, eyes open. The outfits, the glasses and the cap are sized to your pet.
  • Avoid: sunglasses, a hat that hides the hair, a group photo, a face far away, heavy filters.
  • Use your own photo, or one of an adult friend who said yes.

Where did the Boyfriend Picks You Up trend start?

The trend comes from one reel. On 28 October 2025 the men's style creator @andreas.cyrill posted a 10-second TikTok with the caption "you don't take the bus" and the line "pov: your boyfriend picks you up everyday" on screen. Filmed from the passenger seat of an open-top two-seater on autumn roads, it jumps through six outfits, from a beige blazer and tie to a navy coat with driving gloves. By 4 November 2026 it had 5.9 million views and 831,400 likes.

A Vietnamese post used the line in April 2025, but the convertible reel made it a format. Through 2026 more men posted "POV: your boyfriend picks you up every day" with a new outfit for each day, some in a car, some walking up to the door: @nbao.t in May (90,700 views), @routinemmofficial in August (49,900 views), @syuan.ord at the end of August and more in September. By November 2026 an AI video site had turned the reel into a community template called Convertible Outfit Swap. People search it by the line, pov your boyfriend picks you up everyday, or by the name andreas cyrill.

Edit [Video 1]: Replace only the man in [Video 1] with the person in [Image 1], using [Image 1] as the strict facial identity reference. The ONLY change: the driver is now the person in [Image 1]; the seven shots, cuts, timing and moves stay. Preserve the recognisable face of the person in [Image 1]: face shape, facial proportions, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, lips, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache or freckles exactly as in the photo. Keep their identity consistent across every cut, head turn and lighting change. Never morph, never drift back to the original man's face. Retain their natural build and fit the clothing realistically. Preserve all SIX original outfits and all FIVE outfit changes, at exactly the same moments and in the same order: 1. Beige blazer with a pale collared shirt and dark tie. 2. Dark striped tailored jacket with glasses. 3. Blue shirt, white jumper draped over the shoulders, and navy cap. 4. Dark crew-neck jumper with glasses. 5. Light beige jacket over a pale shirt. 6. Navy coat with glasses and driving gloves. Use the source video as the authority for every garment, accessory, colour, texture and fit. Do not transfer clothing from [Image 1]. Preserve the original glasses and cap in their respective shots while keeping the face and hairstyle of [Image 1] underneath consistent. Match the original performance precisely: entering and settling into the seat, body movements, steering, hand movements around the gear lever, head turns, gaze, expressions and timing. Preserve the original cuts, shot lengths, pacing and camera movement. Shots: 1 [0-1.4s] outfit 1, settling into the seat; 2 [1.4-2.4s] hard cut, outfit 1; 3 [2.4-3.8s] hard cut, outfit 2; 4 [3.8-5.9s] hard cut, outfit 3; 5 [5.9-7.3s] hard cut, outfit 4; 6 [7.3-8.4s] hard cut, outfit 5; 7 [8.4-9.7s] hard cut, outfit 6. Keep the convertible and surroundings unchanged: black seats, headrests, steering wheel, dashboard, centre console, manual gear lever, windscreen frame, rearview mirror, road, passing vehicles, trees and changing autumn scenery. Preserve the passenger-side camera angle, vertical framing, perspective, daylight, shadows, reflections and background motion in every shot. Maintain correct hand contact with the steering wheel and gear lever. Preserve natural fingers, the seatbelt wherever visible, and realistic occlusion when hands, glasses, clothing or car parts overlap the face or body. Keep the white caption line in the middle of the frame exactly as in the video, the same words, place and size. Add no other text. The result should look like the same video filmed with the person in [Image 1] wearing all six original outfits. No dialogue throughout the entire video. No background music. No identity drift, face flickering, altered car geometry, extra fingers, unintended outfit changes, new camera angles, extra people, watermarks, interface elements or logos. Output vertical 9:16.

Edit [Video 1]: Replace only the man in [Video 1] with the pet in [Image 1], using [Image 1] as the strict identity reference. The ONLY change: the driver is now the pet in [Image 1], sitting upright in the driver's seat; the seven shots, cuts, timing and moves stay. The pet = the pet in [Image 1], in EVERY frame: the same species and breed, face, eyes, ears, muzzle, fur colors, fur length and markings as in [Image 1], with the natural body volume and proportions of that animal: never flattened, squashed, stretched or merged with anything. Whether [Image 1] shows a dog, a cat or another animal, it stays that animal, with its own head and its own ears. The same pet in every frame, so its owner instantly recognizes it. Never a human face; the original man never appears. Preserve all SIX original outfits and all FIVE outfit changes, at exactly the same moments and in the same order, each one sized to the pet's own body: 1. The glasses sit on the pet's own muzzle and the cap on its own head, between its own ears. Match the original performance: settling into the seat, the front paws on the steering wheel and near the gear lever, head turns, gaze and timing. Preserve the original cuts, shot lengths, pacing and camera movement. Shots: 1 [0-1.4s] outfit 1, settling into the seat; 2 [1.4-2.4s] hard cut, outfit 1; 3 [2.4-3.8s] hard cut, outfit 2; 4 [3.8-5.9s] hard cut, outfit 3; 5 [5.9-7.3s] hard cut, outfit 4; 6 [7.3-8.4s] hard cut, outfit 5; 7 [8.4-9.7s] hard cut, outfit 6. Keep the convertible and surroundings unchanged: black seats, headrests, steering wheel, dashboard, centre console, manual gear lever, windscreen frame, rearview mirror, road, passing vehicles, trees and changing autumn scenery. Preserve the passenger-side camera angle, vertical framing, perspective, daylight, shadows, reflections and background motion in every shot. Keep the white caption line in the middle of the frame exactly as in the video, the same words, place and size. Add no other text. No dialogue throughout the entire video. No background music. Anatomy rules: one head only, one muzzle, natural teeth and tongue. Animal paws, never human hands or fingers. No extra legs, no extra animals, no people in the car. No watermarks, no interface elements, no logos or badges. Output vertical 9:16.

How many credits does it cost?

You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the video, made in one step from your photos and the trend clip, charged once. One video is 152 credits, so the smallest one-time pack that covers it is $39.99 for 450 credits, with no subscription. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video.

What happens in your video, cut by cut?

Your video follows the original reel cut for cut. The camera sits in the passenger seat of the open-top car and looks across at the driver, with autumn trees and the road rolling past.

TimeOutfit
0 to 2.4 sA beige blazer, a pale shirt and a dark tie: you settle into the seat and drive off
2.4 to 3.8 sA dark striped tailored jacket and glasses
3.8 to 5.9 sA blue shirt, a white jumper over the shoulders and a navy cap
5.9 to 7.3 sA dark crew-neck jumper and glasses, past green trees
7.3 to 8.4 sA light beige jacket over a pale shirt
8.4 to 10 sA navy coat, glasses and driving gloves

That is the convertible outfit change the trend is known for: a quick outfit change in car cuts, the car outfit change trend in its best known form. The line "pov: your boyfriend picks you up everyday" stays on the video, as in the reel.

How MakeViral makes it: top-quality AI video models, including Seedance 2.5, edit the original reel and swap the driver for the person or pet in your photo, at 720p. The reel's own song goes back on after the run. A run takes 5 to 15 minutes, and the Generate button shows the exact price before you spend anything. Every run is a new take, so results differ a little.

Human or Pet: which version should you pick?

  • Human is the boyfriend picks you up trend as people post it: you are the driver in all six cuts, in all six outfits, with your own face, hair and skin tone. A woman's photo stays a woman: the outfits and the car stay, so you can post it as "POV: your girlfriend picks you up every day".
  • Pet puts your dog or cat in the driver's seat with its paws on the wheel, in the same blazer, cap, glasses and coat, sized to its body. It is the dog driving car outfit change version of the trend, with the same cuts and the same song.

Both are 10 seconds, vertical 9:16, with the reel's own sound.

What goes wrong, and how do you fix it?

What goes wrongWhat our prompt does, and what you can do
The face looks a little different in one cutThe reel shows the driver from the side, and the prompt keeps your face in every cut. A sharp photo with your face clear works best; run it again if needed
Your hair changes under the capThe prompt keeps your hairstyle under the cap and the glasses. Run it again
An outfit comes out in the wrong orderThe prompt lists all six outfits in order. Run it again
A hand or paw looks odd on the wheelThe prompt keeps the hands, or paws, on the wheel and the gear lever. Run it again
Your pet looks too big or too smallThe prompt keeps its real size and shape. Use a photo with the head and chest in view

If a run fails, the credits come back.

FAQ

Boyfriend Picks You Up trend questions

What is the "POV: your boyfriend picks you up every day" trend?
It is a TikTok format in which a boyfriend picks you up in a new outfit every day. The best known version is @andreas.cyrill's convertible reel from 28 October 2025: six outfits in six jump cuts on one drive, with "pov: your boyfriend picks you up everyday" on screen. It has 5.9 million views. On MakeViral you make your own from one photo.
Who is the guy in the boyfriend picks you up every day reel?
Andreas Cyrill (@andreas.cyrill on TikTok), a men's style creator who posts outfits and haircuts. The Andreas Cyrill car video, captioned "you don't take the bus", is one of his most viewed posts. In your video he never appears: your face, or your pet, takes his place in every cut.
How do I make my own boyfriend picks you up every day AI video?
Press "Create your own", pick Human or Pet, add one photo and press Generate. The video waits in My videos when it is ready. You need no car, no six outfits and no prompt: the reel already has them.
Do I wear my own clothes in the video?
No. The six outfits come from the reel: the beige blazer and tie, the striped jacket, the cap and jumper, the dark jumper, the beige jacket and the navy coat with gloves. Only your face, hair and skin tone come from your photo.
Can a girl make it, as "your girlfriend picks you up every day"?
Yes. The AI keeps the gender of your photo, so a woman drives the car in the same six outfits. The line on the video still says "boyfriend", as in the reel, so write your own caption when you post it.
Can my dog or cat be the driver?
Yes. Pick Pet. Your pet sits in the driver's seat with its paws on the wheel and wears all six outfits, with the cap on its own head and the glasses on its own muzzle.
Which song is in the original reel?
TikTok lists the reel's sound as the creator's own original sound, and he did not name the song in the comments. Your video comes with that same sound, cut to the same ten seconds. You can turn it off on the result screen.
Is this the same as the convertible coffee drive trend?
No. The [convertible coffee drive](/templates/convertible-coffee-drive-ai-trend) is a city car vlog with one outfit and a takeaway coffee. The boyfriend picks you up trend is a convertible outfit swap: one drive on autumn roads, six outfits, six cuts.
What is an old money boyfriend?
It is TikTok slang for a boyfriend who dresses in the old money style: tailored blazers, ties, knit jumpers over the shoulders, loafers and a classic car. The reel's six outfits are a good example of that look, which is why people also call it an old money outfit transition.
Is there a prompt for the convertible outfit transition?
The creator filmed a real reel, so there is no creator prompt. AI video sites copy the reel with a swap prompt that lists the six outfits in order and keeps the car, the camera and the cuts. Our prompt starts from those words and adds rules that keep your face, or your pet's fur and markings, in every cut.
How long is the video?
10 seconds, vertical 9:16, at 720p, with the reel's sound. It is ready to post on TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and it has no watermark.
Is the video real?
No. Your face or your pet is put into the reel by AI from one photo, and nobody filmed you. Keep the AI label on when you post it, and use only your own photo or one of an adult who said yes.
