Ecommerce Slideshow Ideas for Product Drops and Product Pages

Ten hooks a shop owner can post this week, with the slides behind each one and what one slideshow per product actually costs in credits.

Make this slideshowJump to the 10 hooks

Ecommerce slideshows sell when they answer the question that stops the order: the size, the fabric, the shipping cost, the return. Put that answer on slide 1 and use the rest to show the product doing its job. Below are ten hooks, three slide skeletons and a caption.

Who posts ecommerce slideshows, and why

These posts come from Shopify owners, makers on Etsy, apparel brands and agencies running creative for them. What sells is the product itself, so unlike most niches the post has a same-week job rather than an audience-building one.

Buyers arrive from a video, not from a search, and they leave because one question went unanswered. They save the size guide, the care instructions and the comparison between two colors, and they ignore another discount code.

Slide 1

10 ecommerce slideshow hooks

The first slide decides whether anyone swipes. Each line below is written to be typed straight onto slide 1.

  1. your product page loses them at the size chart

Slides 2 to 6 rebuild the chart in inches and cm with one garment measured flat. Size questions are the single most common reason a full cart goes cold.

  2. restock day is a post, not an email

One slide for what came back, one for how many, one for when it goes live. Restock posts convert the people who already wanted it and missed it.

  3. the bundle sold. the single never did.

The slides show both listings and what changed between them, using your own order counts. Pricing structure posts get replies from other shop owners.

  4. i answered 60 dms and rewrote the product page

Each slide is one repeated question and the line of copy that replaced it. It proves you read your messages, which is the whole advantage a small shop has.

  5. stop hiding the shipping cost until checkout

Slides 2 to 5 show where the number should appear and what happens when it is a surprise at step three. Buyers agree loudly in the comments.

  6. 3 reasons the cart goes cold on mobile

One reason per slide, each with a screenshot of the step where it happens. Checkout teardowns get saved by every other small shop in your comments.

  7. nobody wants the code. they want the size guide.

The slides compare a discount post against an information post on the same product. It argues against the reflex every shop reaches for in a slow week.

  8. unboxing is content you have already paid for

Slides 2 to 6 cover the packing sequence, the insert card and the two photos worth taking while you pack. Nothing here needs a studio or a model.

  9. this came back four times. we changed one line.

A returns story with the copy before and after. Admitting a return rate on one product is more persuasive than any review you could quote.

  10. pick the size you are, not the size you were

One slide per measurement, told the way you would tell a friend in a fitting room. Fit posts get sent directly to the person about to order.

Slide skeletons

Three formats that fit ecommerce

Pick the shape first. It decides how many slides you need and what the last one says.

5 product page fixes

Other shop owners save it, and your own customers read it as a reason to trust the page they are already on. One post does both jobs.

  1. 5 things on a product page that do the selling
  2. 1. The size chart in inches and cm, on the page
  3. 2. One photo on a real body, not on a mannequin
  4. 3. The shipping cost and the date, before the cart
  5. 4. The returns window written as one sentence
  6. 5. Two reviews with photos beat thirty without
  7. None of this is design. All of it is information.

5 checkout mistakes

A shop owner cannot see their own checkout with fresh eyes, and each slide is a step they can walk through on a phone in two minutes.

  1. 5 reasons the cart goes cold on mobile
  2. 1. The shipping cost first appears at step three
  3. 2. An account is required before paying
  4. 3. No delivery date, only 3 to 7 business days
  5. 4. A discount field that sends them off to search
  6. 5. One payment method on a mobile checkout
  7. Fix the shipping line first, then test the rest.

Why no order?

It turns a vague worry into one diagnosis, and it works on a customer and a fellow shop owner at the same time without talking down to either.

  1. Why did they not order? Two questions.
  2. Did they reach the cart, or leave the product page?
  3. Left the product page: go to slide 5
  4. Reached the cart and stopped: go to slide 6
  5. Page: they could not find the size or the fabric
  6. Cart: they found the shipping cost. Move it earlier.

What should the images on an ecommerce slideshow show?

Catalog photography on a white background is for the product page. On a slide it reads as an ad and gets scrolled.

SlideWhat the image should beWhat to avoid
1, the hookThe product in use, darkened, question in large textA white-background pack shot with a price
Size slidesThe garment measured flat with a tape in shotA generic sizing table image
Detail slidesA close crop of the seam, the grain, the finishA lifestyle photo where the product is tiny
Last slidePlain background, where to buy and whenA code stamped across the product

Use the photo tool for backgrounds, scenes and props. Do not generate the product itself. A customer receives the real item and compares it to your slide, so a generated version of your own product creates a return and a review you cannot answer.

What should you keep off an ecommerce slide?

Slides get screenshotted into a group chat before an order, which is the moment your credibility is tested.

  • No review you wrote, no rating you have not earned, no "as seen in" without the link.
  • No scarcity you cannot back. If the slide says two left, two must be left.
  • No before and after that implies a result the product cannot promise, especially for anything applied to skin or taken by mouth.
  • No price without a date if a sale is about to end, and no competitor's photography, ever.
  • Say plainly when a post is gifted or affiliate. Put it on the slide, not only in the caption.

The strongest ecommerce slide is a measurement. It cannot be argued with and it prevents the return.

What does one slideshow per product cost?

Slides cost 1 credit each, with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10, and the output is PNGs at 1080 x 1920 plus a caption and hashtags. That makes a catalog rollout easy to price.

What you postSlidesCreditsPlan
One product, size and fit55100-credit pack, $9.99
Twenty products, 5 slides each100100The whole $9.99 pack
One product a day for a month, 7 slides210210Inside the $49.99 plan, 500 credits
A 300-product catalog at 5 slides1,5001,500Inside the $199.99 plan, 3,000 credits

Regenerating one slide costs 1 credit. Editing the text on a slide and re-rendering costs nothing, so a price change or a restock date is a no-charge edit to a post you already made. For the paid-ads version of the same product, see ecommerce UGC ads.

A caption you can paste under the post

Same product, two posts. This one leads with the size chart instead of a discount code, and it is the only version anyone asks about in the comments. Save it if your product page hides the measurements in a tab nobody opens, then tell me the question you get most.

FAQ

Ecommerce slideshow questions

How many slides should a product slideshow have?
Five for a size or fit post, seven for a drop with details. Buyers stop as soon as their question is answered, so lead with the measurement or the fabric rather than the story of the collection. Slides cost 1 credit each.
Can I generate images of my own product?
Generate the background and the scene, not the product. A customer compares the slide to the item in the box, and a generated version of your own product turns into a return and a review that is hard to answer. Shoot the product once, reuse the photo.
Do slideshows sell, or do they only build an audience?
They sell when they answer a purchase question. A size guide, a fabric comparison or a restock date moves orders in the same week. A brand-story carousel builds the audience but does not move today's basket.
Should I post the same slideshow for every product?
Reuse the skeleton, rewrite every slide. The size chart, the close crop and the delivery slide belong in every post, but the measurement, the fabric and the date change per item. That is what makes a catalog rollout fast rather than repetitive.
What do I post between product drops?
Post the parts of the shop nobody sees: the packing sequence, the supplier decision, the product you stopped making. It keeps the account alive without a discount, and it gives returning buyers a reason to read a post that is not selling.
