TikTok pays $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views in 2026, plus gifts, Shop and brand deals. See the real math, then make your first video.
TikTok pays about $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views through the Creator Rewards Program, based on creator-reported benchmarks checked in September 2026. TikTok publishes no official rate. Only videos over one minute long earn, only views of at least five seconds count, and only views from eight countries qualify.
| Views | At $0.40 RPM | At $0.60 RPM | At $1.00 RPM |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,000 qualified views | $0.40 | $0.60 | $1.00 |
| 100,000 qualified views | $40 | $60 | $100 |
| 1,000,000 qualified views | $400 | $600 | $1,000 |
Creator Rewards pays on qualified views only, so enter the qualified number if you have it.
Creator Rewards reports commonly land between $0.40 and $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views. Only views over 5 seconds on videos longer than one minute qualify, so your qualified count is lower than your view count.
Two independent trackers, both checked on September 15, 2026, report the same band:
| Source | Date on the page | Reported rate |
|---|---|---|
| Elev8or | Updated September 3, 2026 | $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views |
| Soundstripe | Updated August 12, 2026 | $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views |
Elev8or is explicit that "TikTok publishes no official RPM table", and that its figures are working benchmarks assembled from creator-reported payouts. Treat any article that quotes a single exact cents-per-view number as a guess.
The one authoritative number is the one in your own TikTok Studio dashboard, which shows RPM and qualified views per video.
Between $400 and $1,000 if every view qualifies. That is the headline, and it is usually wrong for real accounts.
The reason is the gap between public views and qualified views. TikTok's Creator Academy page, last updated September 10, 2026, defines a qualified view as:
A million public views on a video with a global audience can easily reduce to 400,000 to 700,000 qualified views. At $0.60 RPM that is $240 to $420, not $600.
Five filters sit between a view count and a payment, and each one removes money.
Add them up and the effective rate per public view is often half the headline RPM. That is the arithmetic behind every "I got 3 million views and $180" post.
Yes, by a wide margin, and that is why old numbers mislead. The Creator Fund paid a reported $0.02 to $0.04 per 1,000 views from a fixed pot, and it closed on December 16, 2023, per CreatiCalc's timeline of TikTok creator pay, checked September 15, 2026. It was replaced by the Creativity Program Beta, which came out of beta as the Creator Rewards Program on March 18, 2024. The program terms still describe it as "fka the Creativity Program Beta".
The trade is length. The old fund paid on any video. The current program pays only on videos over one minute, and TikTok's own reasoning was that its community already spends half its time watching videos longer than a minute.
If an article you are reading quotes "$0.02 to $0.04 per 1,000 views", it is describing the Creator Fund, which no longer exists. Check the date before you plan around any TikTok pay figure.
Advertiser demand sets the rate, so the spread across the eight eligible countries is roughly three to one. Elev8or's benchmarks, checked September 15, 2026:
| Country | Reported RPM per 1,000 qualified views |
|---|---|
| United States | around $0.85 |
| United Kingdom | around $0.70 |
| Germany | around $0.62 |
| France | around $0.58 |
| Japan | around $0.55 |
| South Korea | around $0.52 |
| Brazil | around $0.32 |
Niche shifts it again. The same source puts finance at roughly 1.3 times the market baseline, business at 1.22 and tech at 1.18, against gaming at 0.9 and entertainment at 0.85. A finance account in the United States and an entertainment account in Brazil can be four times apart on identical view counts.
No. There is no rate per like, per follower or per share. Followers are an entry requirement: you need 10,000 of them to apply to the Creator Rewards Program, and the program then pays on qualified views.
Likes, comments and shares do matter, but indirectly. TikTok's program announcement, published March 18, 2024, lists audience engagement as one of four metrics in the rewards formula, alongside originality, play duration and search value. The announcement adds that the formula also rewards "ad value determined by their community's ad watchtime".
So engagement can lift your RPM. It never pays a fee of its own. A video with half the likes and twice the finish rate usually earns more.
Between $4 and $10 if all 10,000 qualify, and typically less. At that scale the rewards line is not the story. The same 10,000 views with one product link in the bio can pay far more, because a single TikTok Shop commission or affiliate sale is worth thousands of views of rewards.
This is the number most new creators look up first, and it is the number that decides whether they build an offer or wait for the platform. Build the offer.
Rewards are the smallest line for most earning accounts. The rest:
| Income path | What it needs | What it pays |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok Shop affiliate | An approved affiliate account | A commission per sale, set by the seller |
| Brand deals | Roughly 10,000 followers and a clear niche | $100 to $1,000 per post at 10k to 100k followers, per Soundstripe, August 2026 |
| LIVE gifts | Typically 1,000 followers to go LIVE, 18 or older, supported country | Viewers buy gifts that convert to diamonds, reported at roughly $0.005 each |
| Series | 18 or older, account 30 days old, 10,000 followers, 3 public videos in 30 days, 1,000 authentic views in 30 days | A one-time price you set for up to 80 videos, each up to 20 minutes, per TikTok's announcement |
| Your own product | Nothing from TikTok | Your margin, on your terms |
The pattern is the same as on every platform. Platform payouts scale with views, which you do not control. Affiliate and product income scales with audience intent, which you do.
Nothing in the rules mentions faces. The rules are about originality, length and account type. A faceless account qualifies when:
That last pair is the real barrier, and it is a volume problem. Posting one qualifying video a day for 90 days gives you 90 chances to hit the feed. The practical blocker is production time, because a 75-second narrated video is 15 to 30 minutes of manual editing.
MakeViral removes that step. Give it a prompt, a script or a product URL and it returns a 9:16 video with an AI script, an AI voiceover, timed captions and a background, in the browser, with no editing software, and it generates in bulk. The formats that naturally run past a minute are the Reddit story video generator, the AI voiceover video generator and the fake text message video generator. All eight are listed on the faceless video generator hub.
The narrator-over-gameplay format: a written script becomes a voiced, captioned vertical video with a background clip, in one pass.
Per 1,000 views, TikTok pays roughly ten to forty times more on qualifying content. Per account, the answer is less obvious.
| TikTok Creator Rewards | YouTube Shorts | |
|---|---|---|
| Reported RPM | $0.40 to $1.00 per 1,000 qualified views | $0.01 to $0.07 per 1,000 views |
| Entry bar | 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in 30 days | 1,000 subscribers and 10 million Shorts views in 90 days, or 4,000 watch hours |
| Video length | Must be over one minute | 15 seconds to three minutes |
| Countries | 8 | Every country where YPP runs |
| Payout | 15th of the month, $50 minimum | 21st to 26th of the month, $100 minimum in the US |
| Second income layer | Shop affiliate, gifts, Series | Shopping affiliate, memberships, Super Thanks, long-form |
YouTube's advantage is long-form. A Shorts viewer who watches an eight-minute video earns you a long-form RPM measured in dollars, and those watch hours also count toward the Partner Program. TikTok has no equivalent ladder, which is why serious faceless operators run both and cross-post the same script.
The details on the YouTube side are in the YouTube Shorts monetization guide, and the full TikTok rule set is in the Creator Rewards Program guide.
