AI Product Video Generator

Upload one product image. Get a still of it in a creator's hand, an 8-second animation of that shot, or a talking hook joined to the demo clip.

An AI product video generator turns a product image into short vertical video without a studio. MakeViral does it three ways: a still of a creator holding your exact product, an eight-second animation of that same shot, and a talking hook joined to the demo clip in one 1080 x 1920 file.

What is an AI product video generator?

It is a way to get your actual product on screen, moving, vertical, without a photographer, a model or a shipping label.

The thing that separates it from a generic video tool is the upload. You give the AI creator surface one image of your product, and that exact item is what appears in the creator's hand. It is not a generated lookalike of a serum bottle. It is your bottle, with your label on it.

From that one upload you get three deliverables, and they stack:

  1. A still of a creator holding the product, framed like a phone selfie.
  2. An eight-second clip of that still, moving.
  3. A talking hook in front of the clip, joined into one file with optional word-by-word captions.

For an ecommerce store that is the entire ad, plus the product page loop, plus a thumbnail, from one photo you already have on the listing.

The three shapes of product video you can make

ShapeWhat it isLengthCreditsUse it for
Product in handA still of your creator holding your exact uploaded product, in a UGC selfie frameStill image2Thumbnails, carousel frames, a static ad, a review of the framing before you animate
Animated product stillThe same still put in motion at 720p on Veo 3.1 Lite, subtle hand motion, no speech8 seconds6Demo footage, a product page loop, the back half of an ad
Hook plus demoA talking hook of up to 8 seconds joined to the demo clip in one 1080 x 1920 fileAbout 16 seconds2 for the joinThe full cold-traffic ad

Work in that order every time. The still is 2 credits and it tells you whether the framing, the hand position and the label legibility are right. Animating a still you have not looked at is how you spend 6 credits on a clip where your logo faces the ceiling.

The demo half does not have to be generated. You can upload your own footage instead: an unboxing, a texture shot, something filmed on a phone. The stitch takes a talking hook and your clip and produces one vertical file either way. That is the cheapest path when you already have product footage and only need a face to open the ad.

What product image should you upload?

The still reproduces what you give it. A blurry, cluttered pack shot comes back blurry and cluttered in somebody's hand, and you will have paid 2 credits to learn that.

Upload this

  • One product, shot square on, filling most of the frame.
  • A plain background, white or a clean transparent PNG.
  • The label sharp and readable at full size.
  • Even light, minimal reflections, no heavy color cast.

Not this

  • A lifestyle photo with a scene, a table and three other props.
  • A marketplace image with badges, price flashes or text burned across it. Crop those off first.
  • A shot that already has hands in it. The creator's hand is the one doing the holding.
  • A collage, a multipack laid out flat, or a size chart.

Two categories are harder than the rest. Glass and chrome pick up reflections that will not match the new scene, and anything very small, like a single capsule or a ring, loses detail once it sits in a palm. For those, shoot or generate a cleaner pack shot first. The AI product photo generator is the right stop before this one, and AI product photos for Shopify covers what a listing image needs.

What does a product video cost, and what does a catalog cost?

A credit is about $0.10 on the $49.99 plan for 500 credits, and about $0.067 on the $199.99 plan for 3,000 credits. The full table is on the pricing page.

Worked examples

One finished ad for one SKU. Still 2, animation 6, 8-second talking hook 16, join 2, which is 26 credits. About $2.60 on the $49.99 plan and about $1.73 on the $199.99 plan.

A straight 15-second talking ad. Kling Avatar at 720p bills 2 credits per second of speech, so 15 x 2 = 30 credits. Add 2 credits for the creator portrait the first time and ad one is 32. That is about $3.00 on the $49.99 plan and about $2.00 on the $199.99 plan.

Demo clips for a 40-SKU catalog. Still plus animation is 8 credits per product, so 40 products is 320 credits: about $32.00 on the $49.99 plan, or about $21.33 on the $199.99 plan. Ten of those turned into full hook plus demo ads is another 260 credits.

Billing follows the real audio length on any talking clip, not your estimate, so count the words.

Three 15-second scripts for a Shopify catalog

Thirty-five words is about fifteen seconds of speech, which is the ceiling on one talking generation. Each of these is inside it. They are written as pitches rather than testimonials, for the reason two sections down.

1. Vitamin C serum, 35 words

  • Hook, 0 to 3 seconds: "Most vitamin C serums go brown before you finish them."
  • Body, 3 to 12 seconds: "This ships in an opaque pump: fifteen percent L-ascorbic acid, vitamin E and ferulic acid. Three drops each morning, under sunscreen."
  • Call to action, 12 to 15 seconds: "Bottle is linked below."

2. Slow-feeder dog bowl, 35 words

  • Hook: "Your dog finishes dinner in eleven seconds."
  • Body: "This bowl has a ridged base that turns a gulp into a five-minute meal. Dishwasher safe, non-slip, and it fits large breeds."
  • Call to action: "Bowl is linked in the description."

3. Pre-seasoned cast iron pan, 33 words

  • Hook: "Nobody wants to season a pan before cooking in it."
  • Body: "It arrives seasoned and ready. Ten and a quarter inches, oven safe to five hundred degrees, stove to grill."
  • Call to action: "Pan is linked below."

Each of those becomes the 8-second hook of a hook plus demo ad if you cut it to about 18 words, or a standalone 15-second talking clip if you keep it whole. More angles by category live in the UGC ads index, with ecommerce UGC ads and pet product UGC ads covering two of the three above.

Where do these files go?

Nowhere by itself. MakeViral renders a file and hands it to you. There is no Shopify app, no ad account connection, no scheduler and no API, so every destination below is a manual upload.

  • Meta Ads Manager. Upload the 1080 x 1920 file as Reels or Stories creative. The vertical aspect is already right.
  • TikTok Ads Manager and TikTok Shop. Same file, same aspect. Product videos on a listing and in-feed ads take the same shape.
  • Your product detail page. The 8-second animation loops well under the gallery. Remember that a PDP video almost always plays muted, so the clip has to work with no sound, which is why the silent animation suits that slot better than a talking clip does.
  • Organic posts. The same MP4 goes up as a normal post. That is the cheapest distribution test you have before you put budget behind it.

Two practical notes. Keep text out of the very bottom of the frame, because both ad platforms put interface over it. And check one render on an actual phone before you generate thirty more, since a label that is readable on a laptop is often not readable in a feed. The AI UGC ad generator page has the hook testing loop that sits on top of this, and how to make UGC ads with AI is the full walkthrough.

The honesty rules for a product ad

The person holding your product is generated. They did not order it, did not open it, and do not exist. Write the ad as a pitch about the product and none of that matters. Write it as a customer review and it becomes your biggest problem.

  • Describe the product, not an experience. "Fifteen percent L-ascorbic acid in an opaque pump" is a fact. "My skin cleared in a week" is a claim by a person who is not real.
  • No invented ratings or quotes on screen. No star counts, no "as reviewed by", no testimonial cards.
  • Do not imply a professional opinion. No lab coats, no clinics, no "as a vet" over a pet product.
  • Check the current disclosure rules for the platform you are selling on before the ad runs. They change, and they differ by country.

Verified on 17 September 2026:

  • The FTC's final rule banning fake reviews and testimonials, announced August 2024 and effective 60 days after Federal Register publication, covers reviews that "misrepresent that they are by someone who does not exist, such as AI-generated fake reviews", and allows the FTC to seek civil penalties against knowing violators.
  • TikTok's announcement of AI content labels, published 19 September 2023, says TikTok "requires people to label AI-generated content that contains realistic images, audio or video".

None of this is legal advice, and a product category with its own rules, such as supplements or skincare claims, has a second layer on top. Read both before you spend.

Product video mistakes that waste credits

  • Animating a still you did not look at. The still is 2 credits, the animation is 6. Check the cheap one first, every time.
  • Uploading the listing image with the badges on it. "Best seller" flashes and price stickers come through into the scene. Crop them off.
  • Expecting a hand model to do something. The animation is subtle hand motion, eight seconds, no speech. It is not a demonstration of the product being used.
  • Putting the price in the video. Prices change and a rendered MP4 does not. The caption is where a price belongs.
  • Writing 60 words for a 15-second clip. The ceiling is 15 seconds of speech, so anything past about 35 words becomes a second generation you did not budget for.
  • One ad per product. One creative is a guess. Three hooks against the same demo clip costs 48 extra credits and actually answers something.
  • Using the same creator for every category. A gym creator selling a cast iron pan fights the frame. Cast a small set instead, as the AI UGC creator page sets out.
  • Forgetting sound-off viewers. Turn on the word-by-word captions on the stitch, or the hook is lost on everyone scrolling muted.

If the product is better sold without a person in frame at all, use the faceless UGC generator instead: no creator, 6 to 90 seconds, 10 credits per video. Both sit under the AI influencer generator hub, and the Arcads alternatives page compares the paid options if you are still choosing.

Why it works

What the ai product video generator does for you

Your exact product, not a lookalike

Upload one image and that item, with your label on it, is what the creator holds in frame.

The product-in-hand still

A UGC selfie frame for 2 credits, so you can check framing and label legibility before you animate.

8 seconds of motion

The same still animated at 720p on Veo 3.1 Lite for 6 credits, with subtle hand motion and no speech.

Hook plus demo in one file

A talking hook of up to 8 seconds joined to the demo clip, 1080 x 1920, with optional word-by-word captions.

Catalog arithmetic that works

A still plus an animation is 8 credits per SKU, so 40 products is 320 credits, about $32.00 on the $49.99 plan.

How it works

Three steps, about a minute

No editor, no timeline, no export settings to get wrong.

  1. Upload a clean product image

One product, square on, plain background, label sharp. Crop out badges and price flashes first.

  2. Generate the still, then animate it

Check framing and label at 2 credits before spending 6 on the 8-second Veo 3.1 Lite clip.

  3. Add a hook and stitch

Join a talking hook of up to 8 seconds to the demo for 2 credits, then download and upload it yourself.

FAQ

Questions people ask

What is an AI product video generator?
It is a tool that turns a product image into short vertical video. In MakeViral you upload one image, and a generated creator holds that exact item in a still, which you can animate for 8 seconds and put behind a talking hook to make one 1080 x 1920 ad.
Does it use my real product, or a generated one?
Your real one. The product-in-hand mode places the exact item you upload in the creator's hand, label included. That also means the result is only as good as your upload, so use a sharp photo of one product on a plain background with no badges burned into it.
How long is the animated product clip?
Eight seconds at 720p, generated on Veo 3.1 Lite for 6 credits, with subtle hand motion and no speech. It is demo footage rather than a demonstration: it moves the shot, it does not show the product being used. Add a talking hook in front of it for the full ad.
What does one product video cost?
A still is 2 credits and its 8-second animation is 6, so a demo clip is 8 credits per product, about 80 cents on the $49.99 plan for 500 credits. A full hook plus demo ad, with an 8-second talking hook and the join, is 26 credits, about $2.60.
Can I use my own footage as the demo half?
Yes. The hook plus demo mode accepts an uploaded clip instead of the generated animation, and joins it to the talking hook in one vertical file for 2 credits. That is the cheapest route when you already have unboxing or texture footage and only need a face to open the ad.
Does MakeViral connect to Shopify or TikTok Shop?
No. There is no Shopify app, no ad account integration, no scheduling and no API. MakeViral renders a 1080 x 1920 MP4 and you download it, then upload it to your product page, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager or TikTok Shop yourself.
Can the creator say the product worked for them?
No. The person is generated and never used it, so keep the script to what the product is and does: ingredients, size, materials, what is in the box. No invented results, no star ratings on screen, and check the current disclosure rules for the platform before the ad runs.
How many product videos should I make per SKU?
Make the demo clip once, then vary the hook. Three hooks against the same 8-second demo costs 48 extra credits on Kling Avatar 720p and tells you which problem your buyer actually has. One creative per product is a guess with a budget attached to it.

One product image, a whole catalog of vertical video

A product-in-hand still is 2 credits and its 8-second animation is 6, so a demo clip per SKU costs about 80 cents on the $49.99 plan. Cancel anytime, 14-day refund window on unused credits.
