This is the trend's own clip: the AI output part of @stevenwommack's tutorial, where the creator put his own face into the fall. Your You version follows the same look and ends on a close-up of your face. No two runs come out the same.

Which photo works best?

Use one clear photo of you, ideally full body, so your outfit and shoes come through, with your face toward the camera in good light.

  • The clothes, the shoes and the accessories in your photo are the ones you fall in, so pick an outfit you like.
  • No sunglasses, no hand over the face, no beauty filter: the last shot is a close-up of your face.
  • One person per photo, an adult (18+). No photos of babies or children.
  • For the Pet version, a sharp photo of your cat or dog with the whole body in view, facing the camera.

Where did the Skyfall AI trend start?

The look comes from AI fashion clips of January 2026: a model falls backward through a pink sunset sky, hair and clothes lifted by the wind, with quick close-ups of the shoes and the bag. The most watched tutorial credits the Russian AI fashion creator @lesya.neuro for the look. From 21 January the how-tos followed: a creator posting from Belarus spelled out the method (two pictures in an AI image model, then an AI video model joins them), @mina.ai0, posting from France, shared her full prompts on 23 January, and on 24 January @stevenwommack, posting from Germany, shared his tutorial with his own AI fall and the three prompts in the caption. It has 2.1 million views, 101,900 likes and 47,500 saves.

By 24 October 2026, #fallingfromthesky had 1,557 videos and 30.1 million views, and #skyfalltrend 490 videos and 1.95 million views. On 23 October an AI video app started an ad on the same look with the old pick-up line "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?", which brought the falling from the sky AI trend back into feeds.

  1. A how-to from Belarus explains the "popular Skyfall trend": two pictures made in an AI image model, then an AI video model turns them into the fall. TikTok

Video prompt

A viral "falling from the sky trend" video made from [Image 1]: vertical 9:16, photorealistic and cinematic, with a softly blurred background and rich color grading, in slow motion, as if time has slowed. The person in the video is the person in [Image 1], in every shot: copy the exact face from [Image 1] (the face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles), and the hair, the clothes, the shoes and the accessories from [Image 1], so their friends recognize them at once. The face stays the same from the first frame to the last. If [Image 1] shows an animal, that animal falls, with its own face, fur and markings, not a person. The place: high above the ground at a rose-tinted sunset, far above a soft sea of pink and golden clouds, with open sky all around. Shot 1 (0-5 s), one continuous move: the shot starts from far away, so that the person is barely visible, a tiny figure in the upper third of the image. The person is falling downward from the sky, leaning back into the fall, and the camera cinematically follows downward, closer and closer, until it is shot at eye level with the full body in frame: the person falls backward in a horizontal pose, the expression calm, the hair and the clothes lifted by the wind. Shot 2 (5-7 s): a close-up of the shoes and the lower legs against the pink clouds, drifting slowly, the clothes fluttering in the wind. Shot 3 (7-10 s): a close-up of the face in the fall, the clouds softly blurred behind: the hair blown upward, the eyes close and slowly open, a calm, peaceful expression and a small smile. The face is large and sharp: exactly the face from [Image 1]. Audio: a soft rush of wind and a slow, dreamy cinematic music bed. No spoken words, no singing. Calm and dreamy, never scary: the fall is slow and peaceful, no screaming, no fear, no struggling, no impact, and the ground or the sea never comes into view. No parachute, no harness, no helmet, no goggles, no wings, no plane. Exactly one person in every shot, a grown adult. One head, five fingers on each hand. No text, no captions, no subtitles, no logos, no brand names, no watermark.

Step 1 · Photo prompt

Use the uploaded image as the base. 9:16 vertical. High above the ground at a rose-tinted sunset, the pet from the uploaded image falls backward in a horizontal pose, its expression calm, its paws loose, its ears and fur lifted by the wind, far above a soft sea of pink and golden clouds. Shot at eye level with its full body in frame, the scene feels cinematic, with a softly blurred background and rich color grading, as if time has slowed. Exactly one animal and no people. No clothes, no collar tag, no harness, no parachute, no wings on the pet. No ground, no plane. No text, no logos, no watermark.

Step 2 · Video prompt

One continuous shot, like a slow-motion film shot. Keep the animal's face, fur, markings, ears, tail and size, the sunset sky and the clouds exactly as in the image. 0-4 s: the pet is falling downward from the sky, leaning back into the fall, its paws loose, its ears and fur lifted by the wind; the camera cinematically follows downward. 4-7 s: the camera drifts closer to its face: it blinks slowly, calm and relaxed, its ears fluttering. 7-10 s: it keeps floating down over the pink clouds, turning gently, calm and almost sleepy. Audio: a soft rush of wind and a slow, dreamy cinematic music bed, no words. Calm and cute, never scary: no fear, no struggling, no impact, the ground never comes into view. Exactly one animal, no people. Real animal anatomy: paws, never human hands, no extra legs, no morphing. No text, no logos, no watermark.

Both are 10 seconds and vertical, with the sound of the wind and slow, dreamy music. The fall stays calm the whole time: no ground in view, no landing, no scream.

You or Pet: which one?

You is the trend as the creators make it: the far-away start, the camera that follows you down, a close-up of your outfit and your calm face at the end. It is made straight from your photo with top-quality AI video models, including Seedance 2.5, with no in-between picture, so your face stays yours.

Pet puts your cat or dog in the same rose sky: first a picture of the fall from your pet's photo, then a 10-second video. Standard is the lower price; Best uses a stronger model that keeps your pet's face and the slow fall more often. The price of each version shows on the create page before you start.

There is no baby version on purpose: we do not make this video from photos of children. The clip has no text, so add your own caption on top.

The skyfall AI prompt the creators shared

The trend spread with its prompts. In his 24 January tutorial, @stevenwommack shared three: a picture of the fall "high above the ground at a rose-tinted sunset", shot at eye level with the full body in frame; the same shot "from far away so that the person is barely visible", in the upper third of the image; and one line for the video, "Person falling downward from the sky leaning back into the fall. Camera cinematically follows downward." The far picture is where the video starts and the close one is where the camera arrives.

Our template uses that same skyfall AI video prompt, word for word where it can, with your photo in place of his and a few rules added: a calm fall, one person, no parachute, no text. You do not need to copy any skyfall trend prompt or join two pictures yourself: upload a photo and the clip comes out in one go. People also look for it as the sky falling AI prompt, the falling from the sky AI prompt or the falling from sky trend prompt: it is all the same three lines.

Skyfall trend, sky falling AI, falling from the sky: one trend, many names

The same clip goes by many names. Creators call it the falling from the sky trend or the sky fall trend; template sites call it sky falling AI, the skyfall AI effect or a fall from heaven; searches mix them all: skyfall trend ai, falling from the sky ai trend, falling from sky ai, sky fall ai. The falling from the sky AI video on this page is the AI one.

Two other things share the name. On TikTok, the skyfall trend of January 2026 is also a Roblox game trend, where players jump into a hidden tower; and "Skyfall" is a famous film song. This page is about neither: it is the AI video of you falling through the clouds.

FAQ

Skyfall AI trend questions

What is the skyfall AI trend?
It is an AI video trend from January 2026: a person falls slowly backward through a rose-tinted sunset sky, high above the clouds. The clip starts with a tiny figure far away, the camera follows the fall down, and it ends with close-ups of the outfit and the calm face.
How do I make the falling from the sky trend video?
Pick You or Pet, upload one clear photo and start. MakeViral turns it into a 10-second skyfall AI video with wind and music: the far-away start, the camera following you down, and a close-up of your face. No editing and no second picture needed.
What is the skyfall AI video prompt?
The best known one comes from a tutorial with 2.1 million views: a picture of the fall at a rose-tinted sunset, the same shot from far away, and the video line "Person falling downward from the sky leaning back into the fall. Camera cinematically follows downward." Our template is built on those words, so you can skip the falling from sky AI video prompt and the sky falling AI video prompt and just upload your photo.
Is this the Roblox skyfall trend or the Skyfall song?
Neither. The Roblox skyfall trend is a game clip and "Skyfall" is a film song. This page is the AI video trend where you fall from the sky through the clouds.
Is there a skyfall AI video generator or app?
Several AI tools sell a skyfall AI effect, and the how-tos join two pictures in an AI video model by hand. On MakeViral it runs in your browser: one photo in, a finished sky falling AI video with sound out.
Can I make it with my dog or cat?
Yes. Pick Pet and upload a photo of your pet with the whole body in view. It floats down through the same rose sunset sky, ears and fur in the wind, calm and relaxed.
What caption should I post it with?
The classic is the old pick-up line "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?". The clip itself has no text, so you can add that or your own caption.
Is it scary?
No. The fall is slow and dreamy, like time has slowed down. There is no ground in view, no landing, no scream and no parachute: just you and the clouds in a pink sunset light.
Can I use a photo of my baby or a child?
No. Use a photo of yourself or of an adult (18+) who agreed to it, or of your pet. We do not make this video of children, celebrities or strangers.
