What happens in the squishy face video, second by second?
Your clip follows the beats of the viral squishy videos, filmed from straight above:
| Time | What you see |
|---|
| 0-1 s | Your face lies face up on a wooden table, glossy and soft like a silicone squishy, with your hair and skin tone. |
| 1-3 s | Two hands come in and squeeze your cheeks. |
| 3-6 s | The hands knead and mash the whole face like soft dough: the cheeks spread across the table and the face folds and stretches. |
| 6-8 s | The hands let go and the face slowly bounces back into shape. |
The sound is close-up ASMR: wet squelches and soft sticky pops with every squeeze, and no music. The Pet version does the same with your dog's or cat's face as the squishy.
Why does it work? It is oddly satisfying, like a stress ball, and it is your own face. The first squishy videos used made-up AI faces; the one-photo templates made it personal.
How does MakeViral make it, and what does it cost?
The template works in two steps, so the squishy keeps your face:
- The still. Nano Banana 2 takes your photo and makes a glossy silicone version of your face lying on a wooden table, seen from above, with your features, hair and skin tone.
- The video. A video model animates the still for 8 seconds: the hands, the squeeze, the kneading, the bounce back and the squish sounds.
| Standard (default) | Best |
|---|
| Video model | Kling 3.0 | Seedance 2.5 |
| Length | 8 s | 8 s |
| Frame | Vertical 9:16, 1080p | Vertical 9:16, 720p |
| Sound | ASMR squish sounds | The same |
| Price | Lower | Higher |
The exact price shows on the Generate button before you spend anything. You write no prompt. Both steps use the prompt that the trend's creators shared in March 2026 and that the tutorials repeat word for word, with your photo added and rules for the sound, the hands and no text. A tutorial from 19 March 2026 made this look with Nano Banana 2 and Kling 3.0, the same models as Standard.
What goes wrong, and how do you fix it?
| Problem | Fix |
|---|
| The squishy looks less like you | Use a sharper photo, straight on, with your hair in view. Then run it again. |
| The face stays squashed at the end | The prompt asks for a slow bounce back, but some takes run out of time. Run it again or pick Best. |
| A hand has an extra finger | Hands are hard for AI video. Run it again. |
| The clip cuts to a second shot | Kling sometimes adds a cut. Best keeps one take more often. |
| The squishy looks too plastic | That glossy silicone look is the trend. A photo in soft, even light gives more natural colors. |
| The video model refuses the photo | Some photos get refused. The credits come back; try another photo. |
Every run is a new take, so results differ. If one squish is not satisfying enough, run it again.
How should you post it: captions, hashtags and sound
Let the sound play. The squish sounds are half of the trend, so post with the sound on and add no music over it. If you want, start with a still of your normal photo and cut to the squishy.
Captions that worked on the viral posts: "Want YOUR face as silicone?" (@ai_channel_84), "The sounds, the texture, the rebound… oddly satisfying on another level" (@sunprngcd71). A simple "POV: my face is a squishy now" works too.
Hashtags: #squishyface (17,010 TikTok videos and 175.6 million views on 13 October 2026), #squishytrend (2,948 videos and 41.9 million views), #facesquish and #aiasmr. These tags are older than the AI trend and also hold squishy toy videos.
Say it is AI. Turn on TikTok's AI-generated label. Make squishies of your own face, or of friends who said yes, and never of a stranger.
