"Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" is Beyoncé's hit from October 2008. Its music video dance was choreographed by Frank Gatson Jr. and JaQuel Knight after a 1969 Bob Fosse routine. On TikTok the dance came back in late 2023 on an edit of the song posted on 5 November 2023; a version by three members of TWICE from 26 December 2023 has 43.6 million views. On 15 September 2026 @beridzelenee posted the routine with two other dancers in a dark studio. It had 5.8 million views and 978,300 likes by 12 October. Two weeks later, AI versions put a pet in the middle dancer's place: the first ones we found are from 29 September, and a CapCut template ("Swap your pet in for this Beyoncé dance trend") spread the idea. The biggest one came on 4 October: the dachshund account @king_odiee put its long-haired dog in the middle spot, "I learned some new dance moves from my girl @Beyoncé". It reached 40.7 million views, 5.1 million likes and 1.2 million shares by 12 October. A how-to by @miso_ara from the same day had 12.7 million views. ### Single Ladies Dog trend timeline - **2008-10-08**: Beyoncé releases "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", with a music video dance by Frank Gatson Jr. and JaQuel Knight. Download it, share it from your phone, or find it later in your Library. ### The by-hand way, with the exact prompts The one-tap flow runs this prompt for you. The video prompt animates your own photo directly. To change it, copy it and edit it in AI Video. #### Variant: Pet Settings: 1 photo (your pet) · h3-recast · 15 s · 720p · 9:16 · no sound · 180 credits in one tap. 1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: h3-recast, 15 s, 720p, 9:16, sound off. The video prompt: ```text Use image 1 as the pet identity reference and the video as the scene and motion reference. Replace only the dog in the center foreground: image 1 replaces the long-haired brown dog in every shot. Preserve the uploaded dog's breed, facial features, ears, coat color, markings, body proportions, and natural fur length. Follow the reference pet's head dip, upward lift, side tilts, and head tosses at the same moments. Keep all four paws grounded, with natural neck movement and fur responding to each motion. Preserve both female backup dancers, including their faces, outfits, choreography, and positions behind the dog. Keep the dark studio, reflective floor, lighting, low camera angle, and continuous shot from the reference. Use 9:16 where supported. No extra pets, human arms, extra legs, breed changes, added accessories, or cuts. If image 1 shows a cat, keep the pet clearly feline throughout, with gentle head dips, upward lifts, and side tilts suited to a cat's anatomy, and no canine muzzle or dog ears. Keep the coat length and colors from image 1, with no long brown fur and no long feathered ears unless image 1 shows them. ``` 2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4. One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/single-ladies-dog-dance-ai/create?variant=pet #### Variant: Human Settings: 1 photo (your photo) · Seedance 2.0 Mini · 15 s · 720p · 9:16 · no sound · 48 credits in one tap. 1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: Seedance 2.0 Mini, 15 s, 720p, 9:16, sound off. The video prompt: ```text [Video 1] is a motion guide only. Copy its camera, timing and choreography, the dark dance studio with a pale floor, the low camera angle and the continuous shot. Do NOT copy the people in [Video 1]: not their faces, hair, skin tone or clothes. Replace all of them. The lead dancer in the center foreground is the one in [Image 1]. Keep the face, hair, skin tone, body and clothes from [Image 1] in every shot, also in the hair tosses, with no gray crop top and no wide plaid pants unless [Image 1] shows them. Follow the reference dancer's head dip, upward lift, hip sways, hand on the hip, hand turns by the face and head tosses at the same moments. The two backup dancers behind on the left and the right are new young women in casual dance clothes, not the ones in [Video 1], who do the same choreography in the same positions. Photorealistic, like a real phone video in a dance studio. One continuous shot. No text, no subtitles, no logos, no extra people, no cuts. ``` 2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4. One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/single-ladies-dog-dance-ai/create?variant=human ### Which photo works best? Each version takes one photo: - **Pet:** one sharp photo of your pet with the whole body in view, from ears to paws. The face, coat length, colors and markings come from it. A dog looks closest to the reel; a cat works too, with smaller head moves. - **Human:** you, waist up or full body, face sharp and in good light. Your outfit comes from the photo, so wear what you want to dance in. One pet or one person per photo, no sunglasses and no hat over the face. Use your own pet, yourself or someone who agreed. Never a celebrity or a stranger. ## How many credits does it cost? You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the scene photo and the video, charged once. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video. | Video model | Settings | Credits | | --- | --- | --- | | H3 Max Recast (this template) | 15 s, 720p, copies the trend clip, one tap | 180 | Credits come with a plan; see [pricing](https://www.makeviral.ai/pricing). A failed video gives its credits back. ## What happens in the Single Ladies dog dance, shot by shot? Pet and Human each copy a viral reel of the trend, and your photo takes the place of the one in the middle. The moves, the studio and the camera come from the reel. Both clips are one continuous shot from a low camera: | Beat | Pet (15 s) | Human (15 s) | |---|---|---| | The start | Your pet bows its head with the dancers, then pops up and looks into the lens. | You and the two dancers start with your heads down, then pop up into a pose. | | The routine | Your pet sits in front and dips, tilts and lifts its head while the two dancers behind it do the moves. | Hip sways, a hand on the hip and hand turns by the face, in sync with the dancers on both sides. | | The hair tosses | Your pet whips its head and its fur flies, on the same beat as the dancers' hair flips. | Big hair tosses on the beat, then arms up. | **Which version?** Press "Create your own" and pick Pet or Human, or press the button under a reel on this page. | | Pet | Human | |---|---|---| | Photo | Your pet | You | | How it works | MiniMax H3 Max Recast puts your pet into the reel itself | Standard: Seedance 2.0 Mini makes a new clip that follows the reel. Best: MiniMax H3 Max Recast puts you into the reel itself | | Length and frame | 15 s, vertical, 768p | 15 s, vertical, 720p (Standard) or 768p (Best) | | Sound | The reel's song, put back on after the run | The reel's song, put back on after the run | The exact price shows on the Generate button before you spend anything. Every run is a new take, so results differ. ## Which pets work best, and what makes it funny? The joke is the contrast: two dancers give the routine everything, and your pet in front of them does a few serious head moves like the star of the show. So the best casts are: - **Fluffy or long-eared dogs.** The fur and ears fly on the hair tosses, like the dachshund in the reel. - **Calm, serious dogs.** A dog that looks unimpressed gets the biggest laughs. - **Cats.** A cat in the middle spot is the twist people do not expect. It gets gentler head moves that suit a cat. - **Short-haired dogs.** They work too; the coat stays short, and the head and ears carry the moves. Want your pet to dance on its hind legs instead? Try the [AI dancing pet video](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/ai-dancing-dog-video) or the Pet version of the [Nicole Kidman dance AI](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/nicole-kidman-dance-ai-trend). **Caption ideas:** "Why is my dog serving harder than the backup dancers?" (the 30 September template post), "I learned some new dance moves from my girl", "My cat heard Single Ladies once", "Main character, backup dancers". Or write your own. ## Which sound and hashtags should you post it with? Both versions come with the sound of the reel they copy: the trend's edit of "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)", so the clip is ready to post. You can turn the song off on the result screen and add a sound when you post instead. The song belongs to its owners, and MakeViral gives you no rights to it. Music rules differ from platform to platform, so check them before you use the clip in an ad or a paid post. **Hashtags:** #singleladies is the big one, with 494,710 TikTok videos and 5.1 billion views on 12 October 2026, most of them human dancers. Pet posts of the trend add #dancingdog (124,436 videos) and #dogtok. Keep the platform's AI label on. ## What goes wrong, and how do you fix it? | Problem | Fix | |---|---| | Your pet gets long brown fur or long ears (Pet) | The dog in the reel is a long-haired brown dachshund. The prompt keeps your pet's own coat; use a photo where the fur and ears are clear, then run it again. | | A cat looks like a dog (Pet) | Use a sharp photo with the whole cat in view. The prompt asks for a clear cat face and gentle head moves. | | A paw or the tail blurs on a head toss | This is common in fast moves. A second run comes out different. | | The face looks less like your photo (Human, Standard) | Use a sharp, front-facing photo in good light, run it again, or pick Best. | | The gray crop top or plaid pants show up (Human) | The dancer in the reel wears both. The prompts ask for your own clothes; run it again. | | The video model refuses a photo | Some photos get refused. The credits come back; try another photo. | ## Single Ladies Dog trend questions ### What is the Single Ladies dog dance trend? It is a viral AI trend from late September 2026. AI puts a pet in the middle spot of a trio doing Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" routine in a dark studio: the two dancers flip their hair and the pet dips, tilts and tosses its head on the beat. The biggest post, by @king_odiee on 4 October 2026, had 40.7 million TikTok views by 12 October. ### What song is the Single Ladies dog dance? Beyoncé's "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" from 2008, in the edit TikTok dancers have used since November 2023. Pet and Human come with the song from the reel they copy, and you can turn it off on the result screen. The song belongs to its owners, and MakeViral gives you no rights to it. ### How do I make my dog dance like Beyoncé? Press "Create your own", keep Pet picked, and add one sharp photo of your dog with the whole body in view. Press Generate; the button shows the price first. You get a 15-second vertical clip of your dog in the middle spot, with the backup dancers and the song. You write no prompt, and the video waits in your Library when it is ready. ### Does it work with a cat? Yes. Pick Pet and add a photo of your cat. The prompt keeps the cat's face, whiskers, coat and markings and gives it gentler head moves that suit a cat. The reel stars a dog, so a dog looks closest to it. ### Can I be in the middle spot myself? Yes. Pick Human and add one photo of yourself. It copies the original trio reel by @beridzelenee, with you as the dancer in the middle and two dancers beside you. Standard costs less and makes a new clip that follows the reel; Best puts you into the reel itself. ### Is the dancing dog real? No. The dancing in these clips is made with AI: the how-to posts of the trend start from one photo of the pet and a reel of the dance. Many viewers ask the same question in the comments, so label your clip as AI-made where the platform asks for it. ### How long is the video and what format is it? Both versions make 15 seconds as a vertical 9:16 MP4 file with the trend song: 768p for Pet, and 720p (Standard) or 768p (Best) for Human. You can turn the song off on the result screen. ### Will Beyoncé be in my video? No. The reels are TikTok creators' own posts, and your photo replaces the one in the middle. Beyoncé does not appear in your video and has nothing to do with MakeViral. Do not use photos of her or of other celebrities. ## Other AI video templates and tools - [AI Dog Dancing Video: Make Your Pet Dance](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/ai-dancing-dog-video): Your dog or cat stands up on its hind legs at home and does a happy, bouncy dance.
