## What is the Plug Walk Filter trend, and where did it start?

The plug walk dance comes from Rich The Kid's 2018 rap song "Plug Walk": a slow, bouncy strut with bent knees and swinging arms. The plug walk meme never left TikTok: #plugwalk holds 34,603 videos and 784 million views.

The car window version is new. An early daytime take of the AI effect, on a sandy lot with palm trees, appeared on TikTok on 8 October 2026. On 16 October two sample clips of a one-photo AI template called "Plug walk filter" went up on TikTok, and the one posted at 07:57 UTC reached 1.0 million views and 113,300 likes in two days: the camera sits in the driver's seat at a red light at sunset, a hand passes a dollar out of the window, a young man in a lilac puffer jacket grabs it, grins, backs onto the gravel and does the plug walk. TikTok labels it as AI-generated media. From the same day, tutorial accounts posted the plug walk trend TikTok how-tos for the plug walk capcut template and a Dreamina version, and captions like "hand money car window" spread. An AI video site added the plug walk AI filter on 18 October.

2. **Press Generate.** The button shows the price. Seedance 2.5 films the Plug Walk Filter scene straight from your photo, with no in-between picture, for 12 seconds with original sound. You write no prompt.
3. **Download or share.** The video is ready in a few minutes as a 9:16 MP4. Download it, share it from your phone, or find it later in your Library.

### The by-hand way, with the exact prompts

The one-tap flow runs this prompt for you. The video model takes your photo as a reference ([Image 1]) and films the scene straight from it, with no photo step first. AI Video takes one photo as the first frame, so it cannot run this prompt the same way: the prompt is here to read.

#### Variant: Human

Settings: 1 photo (you, face clear) · Seedance 2.5 · 12 s · 720p · 9:16 · with sound · 152 credits in one tap.

1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: Seedance 2.5, 12 s, 720p, 9:16, sound on. The video prompt:

   ```text
   Shot from the driver's seat at sunset. A hand passes a dollar out of the window to the person in [Image 1]. They take it, grin, step back and dance on the beat. One continuous handheld phone shot from inside the car, like a real iPhone video, photorealistic, vertical.
The person is the one in [Image 1], in every frame: copy the exact face from [Image 1] (the face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles) and the clothes from [Image 1], so their friends recognize them at once. The face stays the same from the first frame to the last; never morph. If [Image 1] shows an animal, the performer is that animal standing upright on its hind legs, with its own face, fur and markings, not a person.
The place: a quiet street corner at a red traffic light at sunset: a gravel strip by the curb, a grey light pole, palm trees and round green bushes, a low wall and a parked car far behind, a warm orange and lilac sky. The car door, the open window frame and the side mirror show at the edges of the frame; no badge on the car.
0-1.5 s: through the windshield, the person stands on the corner by the light pole a few steps away. The camera pans to the open driver's window.
1.5-3 s: the person walks up to the open window. The driver's hand reaches out of the window holding one green one-dollar bill.
3-6 s: the person takes the bill, leans in close with a big surprised grin, looks into the lens and laughs: "No way, thank you!" The whole face is large and sharp: exactly the face from [Image 1].
6-7.5 s: they point at the camera, turn and step back three steps onto the gravel, then turn to face the car.
7.5-12 s: the beat drops and they dance a loose, bouncy side-to-side strut on the beat: knees bent wide, weight rocking from one foot to the other, shoulders rolling, arms swinging low and crossing at the chest, the bill in one hand, a cocky grin. The whole body is in view, feet on the gravel; the camera stays in the driver's seat.
It is a friendly tip at a red light, like a fun dare: golden daylight, an open street, the driver's hand and the bill always in full view, everyone smiling. Only ONE green one-dollar bill changes hands: no stack of cash, no bags, no packages, no envelopes, nothing else.
Audio: an upbeat original trap beat with heavy bass that drops when the dance starts, the car's idle hum, the person's happy "No way, thank you!". Exactly one performer outside the car, no other people, no extra limbs, two hands with five fingers each. No text, no subtitles, no logos, no watermark.
   ```

2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4.

#### Variant: Pet

Settings: 1 photo (your pet, whole body) · Kling 3.0 · 12 s · 1080p · 9:16 · with sound · 67 credits in one tap.

1. Open [AI Photo with this template](https://www.makeviral.ai/photo?template=plug-walk-ai-filter&variant=pet) and add your photo (your pet, whole body). The photo prompt is filled in:

   ```text
   Use the uploaded image as the base. 9:16 vertical photo, like a real phone photo taken from the driver's seat of a car stopped at a red light, through the open driver's window. The pet from the uploaded image stands upright on its two hind legs on a quiet street corner at a red traffic light at sunset: a gravel strip by the curb, a grey light pole, palm trees and round green bushes, a low wall and a parked car far behind, a warm orange and lilac sky, one step from the open window. It faces the camera with its front paws up at its chest, ears up, a cheeky, happy face, in warm golden sunset light. Its whole body is in view, from the ears to the hind paws, with its tail. The window frame and the side mirror show at the edges. Realistic photo with natural colors and a soft depth of field. Exactly one animal and no people. No clothes on the pet. No text, no logos, no watermark, no badge on the car.
   ```

2. Check the still before you spend credits on the video. Everything the video model does starts from that one frame.
3. Press the film button on the still to open AI Video with the still as the first frame. Settings: Kling 3.0, 12 s, 1080p, 9:16, sound on. The video prompt:

   ```text
   One continuous handheld phone shot from the driver's seat of a car at a red light at sunset. Keep the animal's face, fur, markings, tail and size, and the street corner, the light pole, the palm trees and the window frame, exactly as in the image.
0-3 s: the driver's hand reaches out of the open window holding one green one-dollar bill; the pet leans in and takes the bill gently in its mouth, its tail wagging.
3-5 s: it looks into the lens with a proud, cheeky face, the bill in its mouth, then steps back from the car on its hind legs onto the gravel.
5-12 s: the beat drops and, still upright on its two hind legs like a little person, it does a loose, bouncy side-to-side strut on the beat: hind legs bent, body rocking from one foot to the other, front paws swinging low, the bill still in its mouth.
The camera stays in the driver's seat. Its back and sides have the same fur colors and markings as in the image. It is a friendly tip at a red light: golden daylight, the hand and the bill in full view. Only ONE bill changes hands: no stack of cash, no bags, no packages. Audio: an upbeat original trap beat with heavy bass that drops when the dance starts, the car's idle hum. The pet never speaks. Exactly one animal and the driver's hand, no other people. No extra legs, no human hands on the pet, no morphing. No text, no subtitles, no logos, no watermark.
   ```

4. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4.

### Which photo works best?

Upload **one photo**: of yourself for Human, or of your pet for Pet.

- **Human:** a sharp, front-facing photo, in good light, with no sunglasses. Your face shows large at the car window, so make it a clear one. Waist up or full body works; you keep the clothes from your photo, so a bold jacket looks great when you dance.
- **Pet:** your dog or cat, whole body in view, face visible, in good light. One pet only.
- **One person or one pet per photo,** so the AI picks the right one.
- Use your own photo, or one of a friend who said yes. Never a stranger or a celebrity.

## How many credits does it cost?

You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the scene photo and the video, charged once. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video.

| Video model | Settings | Credits |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Seedance 2.5 (this template) | 12 s, 720p, straight from your photos, one tap | 152 |

Credits come with a plan; see [pricing](https://www.makeviral.ai/pricing). A failed video gives its credits back.

## What happens in the plug walk filter video, second by second?

The AI builds the whole scene from your photo, in one handheld shot from the driver's seat:

| Time | What you see |
|---|---|
| 0 to 3 s | A red light at sunset. You stand on the corner by the light pole, then walk up to the open car window. The driver's hand reaches out with a dollar. |
| 3 to 6 s | You take the bill, lean in with a big surprised grin and laugh "No way, thank you!" Your face fills the window. |
| 6 to 8 s | You point at the camera, turn and step back onto the gravel, then face the car. |
| 8 to 12 s | The beat drops and you do the plug walk: knees bent wide, weight rocking side to side, shoulders rolling, arms swinging low, the dollar still in your hand. |

**How it works:** Seedance 2.5 makes the Human clip straight from your photo, with no in-between picture, so your face stays yours. You get 12 seconds at 720p, vertical, with the model's own sound: an original trap beat that drops for the dance and your "thank you". The song "Plug Walk" is not in the clip, so add it in TikTok when you post. The exact price shows on the Generate button before you spend anything, and every run is a new take.

## Human or Pet: which plug walk video should you make?

- **Human** (1 photo): you at the car window, the plug walk AI trend as it runs on TikTok. Your face, your clothes, your dance.
- **Pet** (1 photo of your dog or cat): your pet stands on its hind legs by the car, takes the dollar gently in its mouth, steps back and struts side to side on the beat. It is the plug walk cat meme (or the plug walk dog) in one clip. Pet makes a picture of your pet at the window first, then the video: **Standard** is cheaper, **Best** costs more and keeps the upright strut and your pet's look more often.

Both versions keep the hand-off friendly: golden light, an open street, the hand and the one bill always in view. It reads as a tip at a red light or a dare between friends.

## What goes wrong, and how do you fix it?

| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| The face looks like someone else | Use a sharp, front-facing photo in good light, without sunglasses. Run it again. |
| The dance looks like a plain two-step | Every run is a new take. Run it again; a full-body photo helps the moves. |
| The dollar turns into a stack or a card | The prompt asks for one bill. Run it again. |
| A second person walks into the shot | The prompt keeps one person outside the car. Run it again. |
| Your pet drops onto four legs (Pet, Standard) | Pick Best, or run it again. |
| The model refuses a photo | Some photos get refused. The credits come back; try another photo. |

## Captions, hashtags and the song for the plug walk trend

**Caption ideas:** "Pulled up and paid him to dance", "One dollar, full plug walk", "He did not even hesitate", or send it to the friend who would take the money and dance.

**Hashtags:** #plugwalk has 34,603 videos and 784 million views on TikTok, #plugwalkfilter 55 videos and #plugwalkai 17 (18 October 2026). Add #aivideo and keep the platform's AI label on.

**The song:** the trend runs on "Plug Walk" by Rich The Kid. Your clip comes with an original beat, so pick the song from TikTok's sound library when you post.

**Keep it kind:** it is an AI effect. Use your own photo or a friend's who said yes, and keep it a joke between friends.
