The Mom Dad Sister Brother trend started on TikTok on 10 August 2026 as a real hand gesture clip, not as AI. A young creator stood in her room with the words Mom, Dad, Sister and Brother on the left and three tiny red hearts in her palm. She flicked one heart each to Mom, Dad and Sister. Then her palm was empty, so she took her own heart from her chest and threw it to Brother: the anatomical heart emoji popped up next to his name. The clip got 5.3 million views, and by 22 October 2026 its sound was on 137,700 TikTok videos. Within two weeks, copies reached 38.8 million, 33.6 million and 19.3 million views, many captioned "sibling love is one kind of love". Then it became an AI template. From 19 August 2026 tutorials showed a CapCut AI template that makes the family heart gesture trend from one photo; one reached 2.4 million views. A second wave started on 16 October 2026, with tutorials at 992,000, 480,000 and 448,000 views. In the US, "mom dad sister brother" got 390 Google searches a month in August and September 2026, up from 140 in July. ### Mom Dad Sister Brother trend timeline - **2026-08-10**: A creator posts the first Mom Dad Sister Brother clip: red hearts for Mom, Dad and Sister, her own heart for Brother. Your video is made by AI from your photo: the same four names, the same flicks and the same heart at the end, in a cosy bedroom. No two runs come out the same. - **Example 1** (10 s, 9:16 MP4 with sound): The trend by @_davidoux_ (9 September 2026, 5.5 million views): red hearts from his palm for Mum, Dad and Brothers, then he pulls out his whole heart for Sister. Your video does the same with your face. - Video: https://www.makeviral.ai/media/templates/mom-dad-sister-brother-ai-trend/original-main-v2.mp4 - Poster: https://www.makeviral.ai/media/templates/mom-dad-sister-brother-ai-trend/original-main-v1.jpg ## How to make the Mom Dad Sister Brother video on MakeViral Everything runs in the browser. No editing app, no watermark. ### The one-tap way (no prompt to write) 1. **Add your photo.** Press "Make yours" and add you (18+), face clear, chest up. Take it with the camera or pick it from your library. Start here: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/mom-dad-sister-brother-ai-trend/create 2. **Press Generate.** The button shows the price. Seedance 2.5 films the Mom Dad Sister Brother scene straight from your photo, with no in-between picture, for 10 seconds with original sound. You write no prompt. 3. **Download or share.** The video is ready in a few minutes as a 9:16 MP4. Download it, share it from your phone, or find it later in My videos. ### The by-hand way, with the exact prompts The one-tap flow runs this prompt for you. The video model takes your photo as a reference ([Image 1]) and films the scene straight from it, with no photo step first. AI Video takes one photo as the first frame, so it cannot run this prompt the same way: the prompt is here to read. Settings: 1 photo (you (18+), face clear, chest up) · Seedance 2.5 · 10 s · 720p · 9:16 · with sound · 126 credits in one tap. 1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: Seedance 2.5, 10 s, 720p, 9:16, sound on. The video prompt: ```text Use [Image 1] as the main character and keep the person exactly as photographed: copy the exact face from [Image 1] (the face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles), the same hair, skin tone and clothes. The same face from the first frame to the last, so their friends recognize them at once. Never morph, never a different person. They sit on their bed in a cosy bedroom in the evening, warm lamp light and fairy lights behind them, filmed with a phone propped in front of them, vertical 9:16, framed from the waist up, the face large and clear. On the left third of the frame, four short words in clean white bold sans-serif text with a soft shadow, stacked top to bottom: "Mom", "Dad", "Sister", "Brother". The words stay fixed in place, same spelling, for the whole clip. It is the "Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother" family heart trend: they hold one hand out palm up, pinch a tiny red heart out of it and flick it toward the words: a red heart pops up next to "Mom", then "Dad", then "Sister". 0-1 s: the person smiles at the camera, three tiny red hearts lie in their open palm. 1-5 s: one flick per name, in time with the music: a red heart pops up next to "Mom", then "Dad", then "Sister". Each time they glance at the word and smile. 5-6.5 s: on "Brother" the palm is empty. They show both empty hands to the camera with a playful shrug. 6.5-8.5 s: they press one hand to their chest, wince as if it stings a little, and take out their own heart with their fingertips, then flick it toward "Brother": a bigger realistic anatomical heart sticker, like the anatomical heart emoji (a red-pink heart with blue veins and a short artery on top), pops up next to "Brother". Nothing real comes out of the chest: no blood, no wound, the heart only appears as a flat sticker next to the word. 8.5-10 s: they clutch their chest, lean back with a dramatic face, then laugh at the camera. The face is large, sharp and clearly visible. Small glossy red heart emojis, flat 2D like phone stickers. One continuous shot. Audio: a soft, sweet original piano-and-ukulele melody, no vocals. Exactly one person, a grown adult. One head, two arms and five fingers on each hand. No other text, no captions, no logos, no watermark. ``` 2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4. One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/mom-dad-sister-brother-ai-trend/create ### Which photo works best? You need **one sharp photo of yourself**, from the chest up, with your face to the camera. - **Good light, a clear face.** No sunglasses, no hand over the face and no beauty filter. - **Your hands are made by AI**, so any pose works. Your hair and your clothes come from the photo. - **One person per photo.** The clip shows one person; the four names are added by the video. - **Adults only, 18+.** Use your own photo, or one of an adult friend who said yes. Never a child, a celebrity or a stranger. ## How many credits does it cost? You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the scene photo and the video, charged once. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video. | Video model | Settings | Credits | | --- | --- | --- | | Seedance 2.5 (this template) | 10 s, 720p, straight from your photos, one tap | 126 | Credits come with a plan; see [pricing](https://www.makeviral.ai/pricing). A failed video gives its credits back. ## What does the Mom Dad Sister Brother video make? You get a 10-second vertical video with sound, filmed like a phone propped up in front of you. | Time | Whole heart (default) | Brother snub | |---|---|---| | 0 to 1 s | You smile at the camera with tiny red hearts in your palm | The same | | 1 to 5 s | You flick a heart to Mom, Dad and Sister; a red heart pops up next to each name | The same, a little slower | | 5 to 8.5 s | Your palm is empty. You shrug, press a hand to your chest and flick your own heart to Brother: the anatomical heart emoji pops up next to his name | A heart shows up next to Brother for a second, then you pull it back, shake your head and pull a face | | 8.5 to 10 s | You clutch your chest, lean back and laugh | A cheeky grin at the camera | **How MakeViral makes it:** your photo goes straight to the best AI video models available, with no picture in between, so your face stays yours. The words Mom, Dad, Sister and Brother are part of the video, in white letters on the left, like in the trend. The clip comes with a soft, sweet tune and no words. The create page shows the exact price on the Generate button. ## Whole heart or Brother snub: which ending? Pick the ending on the create page. Both cost the same and run 10 seconds. - **Whole heart** (the default) is how the trend really goes. In the first clip and in the biggest copies, the last name does not get nothing: it gets the biggest heart of all, the anatomical heart emoji (the realistic heart with veins). That is the joke and the sweet part at once, and why the captions say "sibling love is one kind of love". - **Brother snub** is the version many people describe: Mom, Dad and Sister get a heart, Brother gets a pulled-back heart and a pulled face. Post it, tag your brother and wait for his reply. Want other names, like Bff, Grandma or Wife & Baby? The four names are fixed here: Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother. Many creators changed the names, and you can add your own text in the TikTok editor when you post. ## The heart trend on TikTok, and where the template comes from The heart trend TikTok users know as the family heart gesture trend has two parts. The heart hand trend itself is real: people filmed themselves flicking hearts from their palm to each name, a giving heart trend with the anatomical heart emoji at the end. Search mom dad sister brother TikTok and you find thousands of copies with their own lists: it is the mom dad sister brother trend TikTok fans keep remaking, and the family trend TikTok accounts post every day. The AI side came next: the mom dad sister brother capcut template, a heart trend capcut template where you add a photo and AI makes the moves. The mom dad sister brother tutorial videos (also captioned as a mom dad sister brother filter, a family heart filter or a mom dad sister brother template) send you to that heart trend template in another app. Some captions even spell it "mom dad sister brooke". The trend lives in many languages: French clips use the words Maman Papa Soeur Frère, and Spanish clips say Mamá Papá Abuela Hermana. MakeViral makes the same Mom Dad Sister Brother AI trend in your browser, with no template link to find. Nobody shared a prompt for it, so our prompt is written from the trend's clips: the four names, the flicks, the pop-up hearts and the heart for Brother. ## What goes wrong, and how do you fix it? | What goes wrong | What our prompt does, and what you can do | |---|---| | A word is misspelled or moves | The prompt fixes the four words in place for the whole clip. Run it again if a letter slips | | A heart lands next to the wrong name | The prompt flicks one heart per name, top to bottom. Run it again | | Your face looks less like you | A sharp, front-facing photo in good light helps most | | Odd fingers during the flick | The prompt asks for five fingers on each hand. Run it again | | The heart for Brother looks too real | The prompt keeps it a flat emoji sticker next to the word, with nothing real from the chest | Every run is a new take. If a run fails, the credits come back. ## Mom Dad Sister Brother trend questions ### What is the Mom Dad Sister Brother trend? It is a TikTok trend where the names Mom, Dad, Sister and Brother sit next to you on the screen. You pinch tiny red hearts from your palm and flick one to each name. In the original, the last name gets your own heart, the anatomical heart emoji. It started on 10 August 2026 and came back as an AI template in October. ### Why does Brother get the weird heart? Because the palm is empty by then. The creator reaches into her chest and gives Brother her own heart, so the last name gets the realistic anatomical heart emoji, the biggest heart of all. Many people read it as a snub, so this page has both endings: Whole heart and Brother snub. ### Is there a Mom Dad Sister Brother AI version? Yes. The Mom Dad Sister Brother AI trend is the same clip made from one photo: AI moves your hands, adds the four names and pops up the hearts. Here you add a photo and get the mom dad sister brother ai video in about 5 to 15 minutes. ### Do I need the CapCut template? No. The tutorials send you to a CapCut AI template for the family heart gesture. MakeViral makes the same clip in your browser from one photo, with no template link to find and no editing. ### Can I change the names? Not in the video: the four names are Mom, Dad, Sister and Brother, the names of the trend. You can add other text in the TikTok or Instagram editor when you post, as many creators did with Bff or Grandma. ### Can I make it with my sister or brother? The video shows one person, made from one photo. Make one each and post them side by side, or tag your brother with the snub ending. The trend's two-person clips were made by filming, not by an AI template. ### Which song is on the trend? The trend clips use the original sound of the first clip. Your video comes with a soft original tune and no words. To join the trend on TikTok, pick the trend's sound when you post. ### Who can use it? Adults 18 and over, with their own photo or the photo of an adult who said yes. Many people in the trend are teens, so we ask for an adult photo and never make a video of a child. ### How long is the video, and does it cost credits? It is 10 seconds, vertical 9:16 at 720p, as an MP4 file with sound. Each video costs credits: the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. If a video fails, the credits come back. ## Other AI video templates and tools - [Love Options Dance: Do the 연애의 조건 Hand Gestures With AI](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/love-options-ai-dance): The hands by the cheeks, the arm out, the little hand flaps on "dudududu": the viral chorus dance of BESTie's 2013 song.
