"Mi Chico" is a song by the Romanian DJ and producer DJ Goja. It took off on TikTok in spring 2026, and a remix with Jason Derulo and Melody came out on 26 June 2026, with a music video shot in Paris (Wikipedia, Songfacts). The dance spread long before the remix. On 27 April 2026 a Vietnamese dance studio duo posted it (@bobo_le, 644,000 views by 17 October), and dancers in Korea, the Philippines and the UK followed. Jason Derulo's "easiest way to learn the #MiChico dance" post of 23 June has 7.9 million views, and slowed, mirrored tutorials taught the steps. AI versions started almost at once: the earliest we found is an AI cat in glasses on 13 April, and on 2 May an AI pink bunny in rhinestone sunglasses danced it to 70,700 views (@highonbubbles), the reel this page's Pet copies. An AI crew of kittens copying a boy band's rooftop routine, posted on 30 September, has 1.1 million views (@humantix), and AI crocodiles and dogs followed. By 17 October 2026, #michico had 81,708 TikTok videos and 948.0 million views, and AI video sites added Mi Chico templates on 15 and 16 October. ### Mi Chico Dance trend timeline - **2026-04-13**: The earliest AI clip of the dance we found: an AI-made white cat in glasses dances to DJ Goja's "Mi Chico". The people and pets are AI-made, not real persons, and the sound is original. Your result will differ from run to run. - **Example 1** (14 s, 9:16 MP4 with sound): The original reel by @highonbubbles (2 May 2026): an AI-made pink bunny in rhinestone sunglasses and a gold chain dances the Mi Chico moves in a white studio, points, paw rolls and paws behind the head. No editing app, no watermark. ### The one-tap way (no prompt to write) 1. **Add your photo.** Press "Make yours" and add you, head to feet. Take it with the camera or pick it from your library. Start here: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/mi-chico-dance-ai-trend/create 2. **Press Generate.** The button shows the price. Kling 3.0 Motion Control takes the moves of the Mi Chico dance clip and plays them with the one in your photo, in your photo's own scene, for about 15 seconds, with the reel's original sound. You write no prompt. 3. **Download or share.** The video is ready in a few minutes as a 9:16 MP4. Download it, share it from your phone, or find it later in your Library. ### The by-hand way, with the exact prompts The one-tap flow runs this prompt for you. The video prompt animates your own photo directly. To change it, copy it and edit it in AI Video. #### Variant: Human Settings: 1 photo (you, head to feet) · kling-3-motion · 15 s · 720p · 9:16 · no sound · 60 credits in one tap. 1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: kling-3-motion, 15 s, 720p, 9:16, sound off. The video prompt: ```text Character replacement on the video, moment for moment. Replace the character in the video with the person from the uploaded image. Keep the camera movement and the timing of the video, as one continuous handheld shot. No text or logos. Photorealistic, identity consistent for the whole clip. Keep actions, poses, facial expressions and rhythm. Preserve the person's original facial features, maintain character consistency, no distortion, no glitches, no artifacts. The person dances in the place from the uploaded image, in the clothes and shoes from the uploaded image, not the beige tube top or the grey-green wide sweatpants of the dancer in the video, and keeps their own hair from the uploaded image, not long dark hair. Follow the dancer's moves and timing exactly: both hands up at the sides of the head, the hands framing the face, the arm swing and the hair flip, the steps toward the camera with hip sways, the wide side lunge, the arm rolls and the hand rolls in front of the chest, the chest brushes, the knee lift with a hand by the face, both hands up on top of the head with the elbows wide, and the arms thrown out at the end. Natural balance and stable ground contact. Exactly one person, no other people. One continuous shot, no cuts, no text, no captions, no logos. ``` 2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4. One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/mi-chico-dance-ai-trend/create #### Variant: Duo Settings: 2 photos (you, on the left + your friend, on the right) · Seedance 2.5 · 15 s · 720p · 9:16 · no sound · 228 credits in one tap. 1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: Seedance 2.5, 15 s, 720p, 9:16, sound off. The video prompt: ```text Character replacement on [Video 1], moment for moment. The woman on the left is now the person in [Image 1], and the man on the right is now the person in [Image 2]. Keep the dance studio with the dark grey wall, the red ceiling, the small white wall unit, the pink side light and the grey floor, the camera movement and the timing of [Video 1], as one continuous shot. No text or logos. Photorealistic, identity consistent for the whole clip. Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: the same fixed camera, framing, timing and dance moves, both dancers in full view from head to feet. Dancer 1 (left) = the person in [Image 1], in EVERY frame: copy the exact face from [Image 1] - face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles exactly as in the photo. They wear the clothes and shoes from [Image 1]. NO grey cross-print T-shirt, no camo cargo pants and no red hair ends unless [Image 1] shows them. Dancer 2 (right) = the person in [Image 2], in EVERY frame: copy the exact face from [Image 2] - face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles exactly as in the photo. They wear the clothes and shoes from [Image 2]. NO cap, no black T-shirt and no olive cargo pants unless [Image 2] shows them. The same real people in every frame, from the first second to the last, so their friends instantly recognize them, also during the hair flips and the turns. Never morph, never drift back to the original dancers' faces, never add or remove facial hair. Do not mix the two faces: [Image 1] is only dancer 1 on the left, [Image 2] is only dancer 2 on the right. Both change: no one from the video stays. The dance, matching the reference second by second, on the beat, both dancers in sync: 0-4.5 s: they stand side by side and sway to the intro, one hand on the chest, the other hand brushing the hair and the face. 4.5-6.5 s: wide lunges to the side with big arm sweeps. 6.5-9 s: arm rolls and hand waves in front of the body, quick steps. 9-11 s: hand flicks by the face, chest brushes, a hair flip. 11-13 s: hand rolls at the chest, small steps and hip sways. 13-15 s: both hands up behind the head, elbows wide, a sway to the end pose. Anatomy rules: one head per person, on that person's own shoulders. A face never appears on knees, legs, hands or clothes. Exactly two people. Natural balance, stable ground contact. No extra dancers, duplicate bodies, extra limbs, fused fingers, text, logos or watermark. ``` 2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4. One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/mi-chico-dance-ai-trend/create?variant=duo #### Variant: Pet Settings: 1 photo (your pet, whole body) · Seedance 2.5 · 14 s · 720p · 9:16 · no sound · 213 credits in one tap. 1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: Seedance 2.5, 14 s, 720p, 9:16, sound off. The video prompt: ```text Character replacement on [Video 1], moment for moment. The pink bunny in the rhinestone sunglasses is now the pet in [Image 1]. Keep the plain white studio, the camera movement and the timing of [Video 1], as one continuous shot. No text or logos. Photorealistic, identity consistent for the whole clip. Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: the same white background and soft shadow, the same fixed camera with the same short push-in, the same framing, timing and dance moves. The dancer = the pet in [Image 1], in every frame: the same species and breed, head shape, muzzle, eyes, ears, fur colors, fur length, markings and body shape as in [Image 1], with the natural body volume and proportions of that animal: never flattened, squashed, stretched or merged with anything, so its owner instantly recognizes it from the first second to the last. Real fur, a real animal, not a cartoon. It stands upright on its hind legs like a person the whole time. Never drift back to the bunny of the original video: no pink fur, no long floppy bunny ears and no white belly patch unless [Image 1] shows them. The pet wears the same rhinestone sunglasses and the same thin gold chain with a small gold pendant, and nothing else: its own fur from head to toe. If [Image 1] shows a dog, a cat or another animal, that animal dances in the same place with the same moves, with its own ears and muzzle. The pet reproduces the bunny's full dance frame by frame with the same timing, with a happy, cheeky face. Matching the reference second by second: 0-1 s: it stands facing the camera and points one front paw at the lens, then rolls both paws over its belly. 1-2 s: a step to the side, one paw on the chest. 2-3 s: a quick turn sideways with a hop, the paws swinging. 3-5.5 s: back to the camera, little side steps, the paws rolling in front of the chest and a clap by the face. 5.5-7 s: it leans in toward the camera with one paw up by the face, then steps back. 7-9 s: a quick turn to the side, then both paws brushing the chest and crossed. 9-12 s: both front paws up beside the head, then behind the head, with a sway. 12-14 s: little fists at the belly with a bounce, then one paw out toward the camera. The pet keeps real animal anatomy: furry front legs ending in round paws covered in its own fur, never human hands, no bare skin, no fingers. One head only, two hind legs and two front legs, no extra legs or paws. No text, no captions, no logos, no watermark, no people, no extra animals. ``` 2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4. One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/mi-chico-dance-ai-trend/create?variant=pet ### Which photo works best? You need **one photo** for Human or Pet, and **two photos** for Duo. - **Human:** stand up with your whole body in view, head to feet, face to the camera, arms away from the body. The video keeps the place and the frame of your photo, so a vertical photo with some space around you looks best. - **Duo:** one clear photo of each person, face to the camera, ideally head to feet. Photo 1 dances on the left, photo 2 on the right. - No sunglasses, no mask, no hat over the face, no beauty filter, nobody else in the photo. Your clothes come from the photo. - **Pet:** a sharp photo of the whole animal with the face clear. Fur colors and markings come from the photo. - For adults and pets only: a photo of yourself, of an adult who agreed, or of your own pet. Never a celebrity or a stranger. ## How many credits does it cost? You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the scene photo and the video, charged once. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video. | Video model | Settings | Credits | | --- | --- | --- | | Kling 3.0 Motion Control (this template) | 15 s, 720p, copies the moves of the trend clip, one tap | 60 | Credits come with a plan; see [pricing](https://www.makeviral.ai/pricing). A failed video gives its credits back. ## What happens in the Mi Chico dance video? Each version follows the chorus of the song in one continuous shot: | Version | Photos | What you get | |---|---|---| | Human | 1 | 15 seconds in the place from your photo: hands up at the sides of the head, the hands framing the face, a hair flip, steps toward the camera with hip sways, a wide side lunge, arm and hand rolls at the chest, chest brushes and both hands up on the head to finish. | | Duo | 2 | 15 seconds in a dance studio with pink light: the two of you sway side by side, then lunge, roll the arms, flick the hands by the face and finish with both hands behind the head, in sync. | | Pet | 1 | 14 seconds in a white studio: your pet stands up in rhinestone sunglasses and a gold chain, points a paw at the camera, rolls its paws over its belly, turns with a hop and puts both paws behind its head. | **Human:** Kling 3.0 Motion Control copies the moves of a full-speed, one-shot take of the Mi Chico dance, not the dancer. You keep your own face, hair and clothes, and the clip plays in the place from your photo, at 720p in your photo's frame. **Duo and Pet:** Seedance 2.5 puts you and your friend, or your pet, into the reel itself: the same studio, the same moves, the same camera, vertical 9:16 at 720p. It can take up to several minutes. All three come with the song, the same seconds the dance is cut to, put back on after the run. Press "Create your own" and pick Human, Duo or Pet; the exact price shows on the Generate button before you spend anything. Every run is a new take, so results differ. ## Mi Chico meaning, and who sings the Mi Chico song What is the Mi Chico meaning? "Mi chico" is Spanish for "my boy" or "my guy", the way you would say "my boyfriend" in a song; that is the whole Mi Chico meaning in English. Some AI sites even list the trend as the "My Boy" dance, and the TikTok tags call it the Michico challenge too. The Mi Chico song is by DJ Goja, a DJ and producer from Romania; the TikTok sound "Mi Chico" by DJ Goja is the one most early dance reels use. The Mi Chico Jason Derulo version is the remix with Jason Derulo and Melody from 26 June 2026, posted as "Official Mi Chico", and its Mi Chico music video was shot in Paris. People also search "Mi Chico Doja Cat", but Doja Cat is not on the song: the name DJ Goja sounds alike. This page does not print the Mi Chico lyrics: the song belongs to its owners. People often search the hook as "Mi Chico dance all night". Your clip comes with the seconds of the song the dance is cut to. ## Which sound and hashtags should you post it with? Your clip comes with the song, the same seconds the dance uses, so it is ready to post. You can turn the song off on the result screen and pick the Mi Chico TikTok song you like when you post instead, the DJ Goja original or the Jason Derulo remix. The song belongs to its owners, and MakeViral gives you no rights to it. Music rules differ from platform to platform, so check them before you use the clip in an ad or a paid post. **Hashtags:** #michico is the big Mi Chico TikTok tag, with 81,708 videos and 948.0 million views on 17 October 2026, then #michicodance (4,914 videos, 12.8 million views), #michicotrend and #michicochallenge. The same tags work on Instagram Reels. Keep the platform's AI label on. Want more dances? The prompt bans them unless your photo has them; run it again. | | A cap, red hair ends or camo pants show up (Duo) | The duo in the reel wears them. The prompt bans them unless your photos have them; run it again. | | The two faces swap places (Duo) | Photo 1 is always the dancer on the left. Check the order before you press Generate. | | Feet are cut off or the frame is too tight (Human) | The video keeps your photo's frame. Use a photo with your whole body and some floor in view. | | Your pet comes out pink or with long ears (Pet) | The reel's dancer is a pink bunny. Use a sharp photo where the fur colors and the ears are clear, then run it again. | | The video model refuses the photo | Some photos get refused. The credits come back; try another photo. | ## Mi Chico Dance trend questions ### What is the Mi Chico dance? It is the TikTok dance trend to "Mi Chico", the 2026 dance song by DJ Goja: hands rolling over the stomach and chest, chest brushes, arm rolls, a point at the camera, hands up beside or behind the head and hip sways. By 17 October 2026 #michico had 81,708 TikTok videos, and cats, dogs, bunnies and AI crews do it too. ### What does mi chico mean? "Mi chico" is Spanish for "my boy" or "my guy". That is the Mi Chico meaning in English, and the Mi Chico song meaning starts from that hook; for the full words, see a lyrics site. ### Who sings Mi Chico: DJ Goja or Jason Derulo? Both versions exist. Mi Chico DJ Goja is the original, by the Romanian DJ and producer. Mi Chico Jason Derulo is the remix with Jason Derulo and Melody (Mi Chico Melody), out on 26 June 2026 with a music video. The Mi Chico dance Jason Derulo taught on TikTok has 7.9 million views. MakeViral is not linked to any of them. ### Is Mi Chico by Doja Cat? No. People search "Mi Chico Doja Cat" because the names sound alike, but the song is by DJ Goja, and the remix adds Jason Derulo and Melody. ### How do I make the Mi Chico AI video? Press "Create your own", pick Human, Duo or Pet, and add your photo or photos. Press Generate; the button shows the price first. You get a Mi Chico AI video of 14 to 15 seconds with the song. It is the Mi Chico AI dance trend you see on TikTok, with your own face or your own pet, and no CapCut template or prompt to write. ### Can my cat or dog do the Mi Chico dance? Yes. Pick Pet. It copies the AI pink bunny reel by @highonbubbles: your pet stands up in a white studio in rhinestone sunglasses and a gold chain and does the Mi Chico cat dance, with paw points, paw rolls and both paws behind the head. It works as a Mi Chico dog dance too, and for any pet that can stand in for the bunny. AI cat dance clips are one of the most searched AI pet videos, and this is the Mi Chico one. ### Can I do the Mi Chico dance with a friend? Yes. Pick Duo and add two photos: photo 1 dances on the left, photo 2 on the right. Seedance 2.5 puts both of you into a studio duo reel of the Mi Chico duo dance, side by side and in sync, in your own clothes. ### Do I have to learn it from a Mi Chico dance tutorial? No. If you want to learn the Mi Chico dance moves yourself, the slowed and mirrored tutorials on TikTok and YouTube show how to do the Mi Chico dance step by step, and the Jason Derulo post covers the Mi Chico dance steps of the chorus. Here the AI does it: from your photo it plays the whole routine. ### Who started the Mi Chico dance trend? No one creator owns it. The song went viral on TikTok in spring 2026, dance creators posted their Mi Chico dance choreography from April (a Vietnamese studio duo's original dance reel of 27 April has 644,000 views), and Jason Derulo pushed it again in June. The AI wave started with AI pets in April and May. ### Is the Mi Chico trend still going? Yes, in a second wave. The dance peaked on TikTok in the summer, but new Mi Chico dance videos still come every week: an AI kitten crew posted on 30 September has 1.1 million views, a duo reel by two brothers from 9 October has 2.3 million, and AI video sites added Mi Chico templates on 15 and 16 October. The Mi Chico trend on TikTok is now led by AI pets and AI crews. ### Is Mi Chico an AI song? Some people search "Mi Chico AI song" and "is Mi Chico AI music". We found no clear statement from the artist either way, so this page makes no claim about it. Here "Mi Chico AI" means an AI video of the dance: your photo, the moves and the song. ### Where does the background of my video come from? Human keeps the place from your photo: Kling 3.0 Motion Control takes only the moves, so your own room or street stays. Duo keeps the dance studio of the duo reel, and Pet keeps the white studio of the AI bunny reel, because you go into those reels themselves. ### Will the dancers from the original clips be in my video? No. Human takes only the moves of a one-shot dance clip by an adult creator. Duo replaces both dancers of an adult studio duo with the people in your photos. Pet copies an AI-made bunny reel, so no real person is in it. Use photos of yourself, of adults who agreed, or of your own pet, never a celebrity or a stranger. ### What prompt does the Mi Chico AI trend use? No creator of the trend shared a prompt: the dance reels are real, and the CapCut and app templates are closed. We start from a template site's one-line character replacement prompt (replace the dancer moment for moment, keep the camera and the timing, no text or logos) and add the moves of each reel. You write no prompt yourself. ### Which AI models make the videos, and how long are they? Human uses Kling 3.0 Motion Control (15 seconds, 720p, in your photo's frame). Duo and Pet use Seedance 2.5 (15 and 14 seconds, vertical 9:16 at 720p) and can take up to several minutes. All are MP4 files with the song, with no watermark. ## Other AI video templates and tools - [SaWaDiKa Dance: Do LISA's Trend From One Photo](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/sawadika-dance-ai-trend): Palms together, sharp arm accents, kicks and hip sways: the viral SaWaDiKa dance to LISA's chorus.
