Tate McRae released "Housewife" on 15 October 2026, the lead single of her fourth album. Its hook, "be my own housewife", turned the word into a line about money and independence, and creators picked it up the same day. The next day, 16 October, the choreographer @kevinbannier_ posted his own routine to it in a blue-lit living room, filmed from the floor: "waited for this and KNEW it was gonna be a banger". It had 413,700 views by 6 November, and it is the routine most copies credit ("dc: Kevin Bannier"). From there the housewife trend split into many routines: three-man versions, dance classes and studio choreographies. The most viewed dance clip we found, a dance class posted on 25 October, had 4.8 million views. By 6 November, Tokchart counted 524,800 TikTok videos on the song's main sound. People also post lifestyle and "POV" clips to the same sound, so the trend is also called Housewife POV. ### Housewife Dance trend timeline - **2026-10-15**: Tate McRae releases "Housewife"; TikTok creators start using the sound the same day. No two runs come out the same. - **Example 1** (35 s, 9:16 MP4 with sound): The original routine by @kevinbannier_: he walks back from the phone on the floor and dances the whole Housewife routine in his blue-lit living room, with the wide stance, the hip sways and the arms thrown up. No editing app, no watermark. ### The one-tap way (no prompt to write) 1. **Add your photo.** Press "Make yours" and add you, head to toes. Take it with the camera or pick it from your library. Start here: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/housewife-dance-ai-trend/create 2. **Press Generate.** The button shows the price. Kling 3.0 Motion Control takes the moves of the Housewife dance clip and plays them with the one in your photo, in your photo's own scene, for about 15 seconds, with the reel's original sound. You write no prompt. 3. **Download or share.** The video is ready in a few minutes as a 9:16 MP4. Download it, share it from your phone, or find it later in My videos. ### The by-hand way, with the exact prompts The one-tap flow runs this prompt for you. The video prompt animates your own photo directly. To change it, copy it and edit it in AI Video. #### Variant: Human Settings: 1 photo (you, head to toes) · kling-3-motion · 15 s · 720p · 9:16 · no sound · 60 credits in one tap. 1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: kling-3-motion, 15 s, 720p, 9:16, sound off. The video prompt: ```text Use the reference image as the sole character identity reference and the reference video as the motion reference. Animate exactly one adult dancer, in the place from the reference image. Preserve the person's recognizable face, hairstyle, skin tone, body proportions, outfit, shoes, and accessories throughout the video. Follow the reference dancer's movement order and timing, including the low wide-leg stance, the hip sways and body rolls, the arms swung out and thrown up high, the elbows-out framing, the hands on the hips, the hand flicks past the face and the final pose with both hands up, as visible in the clip. Do not invent additional moves. Keep the entire body visible from head to shoes, with enough space around both hands and feet. Follow the reference framing and camera movement. Maintain natural balance, stable ground contact, and consistent shadows. Keep the face recognizable during turns, with the confident, sassy facial attitude of the reference dancer. No extra dancers, duplicate bodies, extra limbs, fused fingers, outfit changes, new camera cuts, text, or watermark. Use a vertical 9:16 reference and output when supported. No red baseball cap, no white tank top, no wide black sweatpants with a white print, no beard, no moustache and no arm tattoos unless the reference image shows them. ``` 2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4. One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/housewife-dance-ai-trend/create #### Variant: Pet Settings: 1 photo (your pet, whole body) · Seedance 2.5 · 15 s · 720p · 9:16 · no sound · 228 credits in one tap. 1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: Seedance 2.5, 15 s, 720p, 9:16, sound off. The video prompt: ```text Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: the same dim living room lit in blue and purple light, with the big TV on a low white cabinet, the dark framed picture above it, the grey curtain on the right and the concrete ceiling, the same phone camera low on the floor looking up, the same framing, timing and dance moves, one continuous take with no cuts. The ONLY change: the man who dances alone in the middle of the room is now the pet in [Image 1]. The dancer = the pet in [Image 1], whole body, in every frame: the same species and breed, head shape, muzzle, eyes, ears, fur colors, fur length, markings and body shape as in [Image 1], with the natural body volume and proportions of that animal: never flattened, squashed, stretched or merged with anything, so its owner instantly recognizes it. It stands upright on its hind legs like a person the whole time. Never drift back to the man of the original video: no human face, no human body, no red cap, no white tank top and no black sweatpants. If [Image 1] shows a cat, a dog or another animal, that animal dances in the same place with the same moves. The dance, matching the reference second by second, on the beat, with a lot of attitude. Do not invent additional moves. 0-2.5 s: a low wide stance on the hind legs, both front legs swung out to the sides. 2.5-4 s: one front leg thrown high above the head, then a paw over the head. 4-7.5 s: a deep wide stance, front legs bent out at the elbows, framing the body, a body roll. 7.5-10 s: front paws on the hips, then a lean to the side in the wide stance. 10-12 s: paw flicks past the face and a quarter turn to the side. 12-15 s: both front paws up above the head, then paws framing the face for the final pose, a hip pop. Anatomy rules: one head only, one tail. Two hind legs on the floor and two front legs ending in round furry paws covered in its own fur, never human hands, no bare skin, no fingers, no extra legs or paws. Natural balance and stable ground contact. No dialogue throughout the entire video. No background music. No text, no captions, no logos, no watermark, no people, no extra animals. ``` 2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4. One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/housewife-dance-ai-trend/create?variant=pet ### Which photo works best? You need **one photo**: of yourself for Human, of your pet for Pet. - **Human:** stand up, with your whole body in view from head to feet, the face turned to the camera and your arms away from your body. The video keeps the place and the frame of your photo, so a vertical photo with some room around you looks best. - Wear what you want to dance in: your clothes stay. Wide trousers and sneakers suit the routine. No sunglasses, no hat that hides the face, no beauty filter, and nobody else in the photo. - **Pet:** a sharp photo with the whole animal in view and the face clear. Fur colors and markings come from the photo. - Use a photo of yourself, of an adult who agreed, or of your own pet. Never a celebrity or a stranger. ## How many credits does it cost? You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the scene photo and the video, charged once. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video. | Video model | Settings | Credits | | --- | --- | --- | | Kling 3.0 Motion Control (this template) | 15 s, 720p, copies the moves of the trend clip, one tap | 60 | Credits come with a plan; see [pricing](https://www.makeviral.ai/pricing). A failed video gives its credits back. ## What does each version of the Housewife dance AI video give you? | | Human | Pet | |---|---|---| | Photo | One photo of you, head to feet | One photo of your pet, whole body | | Where it plays | The place from your photo | The blue-lit living room of the original reel | | What it copies | The moves of the routine, beat for beat | The whole reel, with your pet in the dancer's place | | Length | About 15 seconds | 15 seconds, vertical | | Sound | The song, the same 15 seconds as the routine | The song, the same 15 seconds as the routine | Both copy the same 15 seconds of the routine: the low wide-leg stance with the arms swung out, one arm thrown high, elbows out and arms framing the body, hands on the hips, hand flicks past the face, then both hands up for the final pose. The video is made with top-quality AI video models, and your look comes from your photo, not from the dancer in the reel. Press "Create your own", pick Human or Pet, and add your photo. The exact price shows on the Generate button before you spend anything. Every run is a new take, so results differ. ## Housewife trend TikTok guide: which Housewife dance trend routine is it? The Housewife trend on TikTok has many routines, because dancers and studios made their own to the song. The one this template copies is the first big one: the routine @kevinbannier_ posted on 16 October 2026, the day after the song came out. It is the housewife dance tiktok copies tag most often ("dc: Kevin Bannier", "KB choreo"), so it is the safest pick for the Housewife Tate McRae dance. You do not need a Tate McRae Housewife dance tutorial or any choreography skills: the AI plays the routine for you. The Housewife dance challenge also lives on Instagram Reels, so the same clip works for the housewife trend on Instagram. The Housewife POV trend is the other side of the sound: lifestyle clips with the line "I just wanna make a lot of money and be my own housewife". If you want that mood instead of the dance, post your Housewife dance AI video with a POV caption. ## Which sound and hashtags should you post it with? Your clip comes with the Housewife song by Tate McRae, the same seconds of it that the routine is cut to, so it is ready to post. You can turn the song off on the result screen and add the sound in the app when you post instead. The song belongs to its owners, and MakeViral gives you no rights to it. Music rules differ from platform to platform, so check them before you use the clip in an ad or a paid post. **Hashtags:** #housewife and #tatemcrae are the big ones. #tatemcraehousewife had 1,070 videos and 8.4 million views on 6 November 2026, and #housewifedance 677 videos and 12.8 million views. Keep the platform's AI label on. **Caption ideas:** "Be my own housewife", "My dog has more attitude than me", "Housewife era", "POV: you finally learned the Housewife dance". ## What goes wrong, and how do you fix it? | Problem | Fix | |---|---| | The face looks less like you (Human) | Use a sharp photo with the face turned to the camera and good light, then run it again. | | A red cap, a white tank top or wide black sweatpants show up (Human) | The dancer in the reel wears them. The prompt bans them unless your photo has them; run it again. | | The feet or hands are cut off (Human) | The video keeps the frame of your photo. Use a photo with your whole body in view and some room around you. | | The hands blur or get extra fingers | Common in fast arm moves. A second run comes out different. | | Your pet looks stiff or loses its shape (Pet) | Animals dance less cleanly than people. Use a sharp photo with the whole animal in view and run it again. | | A paw looks like a hand (Pet) | The prompt asks for real furry paws. Run it again, ideally with a photo where the paws are in view. | | The video model refuses the photo | Some photos get refused. The credits come back; try another photo. | ## Housewife Dance trend questions ### What is the Housewife dance trend? It is a TikTok dance trend to Tate McRae's song "Housewife", released on 15 October 2026. Dancers do a sassy routine with a wide stance, hip sways and sharp arm lines to the hook "be my own housewife". The first big routine was posted by the choreographer @kevinbannier_ on 16 October, and by 6 November the song's main sound had 524,800 TikTok videos. ### Who made the Housewife dance? Many dancers made their own routine to the song. The first big one, and the one most copies credit, is by the choreographer @kevinbannier_ ("KB choreo"), posted on 16 October 2026 with 413,700 views by 6 November. This template copies his routine. ### What song is the Housewife trend? It is "Housewife" by Tate McRae, the lead single of her fourth album, released on 15 October 2026. The line of the lyrics people quote is "I just wanna make a lot of money and be my own housewife". Your MakeViral clip comes with the same seconds of the Housewife song that the routine uses, and you can turn it off on the result screen. The song belongs to its owners, and MakeViral has no ties to the artist. ### How do I make the Housewife dance AI video? Press "Create your own", pick Human or Pet, and add one clear photo. Press Generate; the button shows the price first. You get a Housewife AI video of about 15 seconds with the song on. You write no prompt, and the video waits in My videos when it is ready. ### Can my dog or cat do the Housewife dance? Yes. Pick Pet. Your pet takes the dancer's place in the original reel: it stands on its hind legs in the blue-lit living room and does the routine with its paws, for a housewife dog dance or a housewife cat dance. Dog owners already post their dogs to the sound on TikTok. Any pet can take the part; use a sharp photo with the whole animal in view. ### Where does the background of my video come from? Human keeps the place from your photo: it takes only the moves, so your own kitchen, living room or street stays. Pet keeps the living room of the original reel, because your pet goes into that reel itself. ### Will the dancer from the original reel be in my video? No. Human takes only the moves of the routine and plays them with the person in your photo. Pet replaces the dancer with your pet. Use a photo of yourself or of an adult who agreed, never a celebrity or a stranger. ### Is there a prompt for the Housewife AI trend? No creator of the trend shared one: the dance is a real routine, and the CapCut templates of the song are lyric edits. The versions here use our own prompts, built on a published motion prompt for one-dancer AI videos, plus lines that keep your own look. You write no prompt yourself. ### Why is the housewife TikTok trend so big? The hook is easy to say and easy to dance to, and the song came out with a ready-made line for captions: "be my own housewife". Dancers posted their own routines from day one, so the housewife tiktok trend spread as a dance challenge and as lifestyle POV clips at the same time. By 6 November 2026 the song's main sound had 524,800 TikTok videos. ### Will it lip sync to the song? No. The video copies the dance, not the lyrics, so the mouth does not follow the words. The song goes on after the video is made. ### How long is the video and what format is it? Both versions make about 15 seconds at 720p. Human follows the frame of your photo, so a vertical photo gives a vertical clip. Pet is vertical like the original reel. Both are MP4 files with the song, with no watermark. ## Other AI video templates and tools - [Victoria Secret AI Runway Video: Your Angel Walk in Giant Wings](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/victoria-secret-runway-ai-trend): Cameras flash as you walk a glossy runway in giant feathered wings: you wave, strut to the end, reach out to the crowd and blow a kiss.
