## What is the Helicopter Skydive trend, and where did it start?

The reel comes from **@keoni.anderson**, a US skydiving creator who posts skydiving from helicopter and hot air balloon stunts. On 19 October 2026 he posted it on Instagram with the caption "Ever wonder what it feels like to be in a cloud?": three shots in 15 seconds, from a selfie on the skid to a tiny dot in the clouds. By 4 November it had 344,000 plays and 12,807 likes. He posted shorter cuts of the same jump on Facebook (18 October) and on TikTok as "Pull ups at 20k feet" (20 October).

Helicopter skydiving clips are nothing new: #helicopterjump holds 529 TikTok videos and #helicopterskydive 92. What made this one a template was the hang. An AI video app turned this exact reel into a "Skydiving Character Swap" template, where you put a new face on the skydiver; it had 236 likes on 4 November.

This page does the same: your photo goes into the reel itself, shot for shot.

## What the Helicopter Skydive video looks like

The clip above is the trend's original reel, a real skydive by @keoni.anderson with its own music, so you can see what the trend looks like. It is not a MakeViral result. Your video is this same reel with your face, or your pet, in place of the skydiver: the first 15 seconds, vertical, with the music.

- **Example 1** (16 s, 9:16 MP4 with sound): The original reel by @keoni.anderson: a selfie on the helicopter skid above the clouds, the climb down, a pull-up under the skid, then he lets go and drops into the clouds. Human and Pet put your photo in his place.

### The by-hand way, with the exact prompts

The one-tap flow runs this prompt for you. The video prompt animates your own photo directly. To change it, copy it and edit it in AI Video.

#### Variant: Human

Settings: 1 photo (your photo, face clear) · Seedance 2.5 · 15 s · 720p · 9:16 · no sound · 228 credits in one tap.

1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: Seedance 2.5, 15 s, 720p, 9:16, sound off. The video prompt:

   ```text
   Replace the main character with the person in [Image 1].
Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: a small dark grey helicopter high above a white sea of clouds under a blue sky, the same camera angles, cuts, timing and moves. The ONLY change: the skydiver is now the person in [Image 1].
The skydiver = the person in [Image 1], in EVERY shot: copy the exact face from [Image 1]: face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles exactly as in the photo. The skydiver wears the clothes from [Image 1] with the black skydiving harness and rig of [Video 1] strapped over them; if [Image 1] shows only the head or the upper body, invent the rest so it matches naturally. The same real person in every frame, so their friends instantly recognize them, also in the shots from above and while the skydiver grins up at the camera. Never morph, never drift back to the original skydiver's face. NO tattoos, NO dark curly hair and NO printed tank top unless [Image 1] shows them.
Shot 1 [0-2.5s]: a selfie from a selfie stick: the skydiver stands on the helicopter skid outside the open door, the clouds far below, talks to the camera and makes a hand sign.
Shot 2 [2.5-5.6s]: hard cut, a camera on the helicopter looks back along the cabin: the skydiver crouches on the skid, grips it with both hands and climbs down under it, back to the camera.
Shot 3 [5.6-15s]: hard cut, a camera on the skid looks straight down: the skydiver hangs under the skid tube by both hands, face up to the camera, legs over the clouds, does a pull-up and grins; at about 12.7s lets go and falls away, getting smaller until a dot in the clouds; the empty skid stays in frame to the end.
The face is the face from [Image 1] in shot 1, in shot 3 when it looks up into the camera, and in every frame between. Wind moves the hair and the clothes.
No dialogue throughout the entire video. No background music.
Anatomy rules: exactly one person, one head on the skydiver's shoulders, two arms and two hands with five fingers each, both hands on the skid until the skydiver lets go. No extra people, no parachute opens. No text, no captions, no logos, no watermark.
   ```

2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4.

#### Variant: Pet

Settings: 1 photo (your pet, whole body) · Seedance 2.5 · 15 s · 720p · 9:16 · no sound · 228 credits in one tap.

1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: Seedance 2.5, 15 s, 720p, 9:16, sound off. The video prompt:

   ```text
   Replace the main character with the pet in [Image 1].
Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: a small dark grey helicopter high above a white sea of clouds under a blue sky, the same camera angles, cuts, timing and moves. The ONLY change: the skydiver is now the pet in [Image 1].
The pet = the pet in [Image 1], in EVERY shot: the same species and breed, face, eyes, ears, muzzle, fur colors, fur length and markings as in [Image 1], with the natural body volume and proportions of that animal: never flattened, squashed, stretched or merged with anything. Whether [Image 1] shows a dog, a cat or another animal, it stays that animal, never a person, never a human face, never human hands. The same pet in every frame, so its owner instantly recognizes it. It wears a small black skydiving harness sized to its own body. No person from [Video 1] stays.
Shot 1 [0-2.5s]: a selfie from a selfie stick: the pet stands on the helicopter skid outside the open door, the clouds far below, looks into the camera and lifts one front paw.
Shot 2 [2.5-5.6s]: hard cut, a camera on the helicopter looks back along the cabin: the pet crouches on the skid, holds on with its front paws and climbs down under it.
Shot 3 [5.6-15s]: hard cut, a camera on the skid looks straight down: the pet hangs under the skid tube by its two front paws, face up to the camera, hind legs and tail over the clouds, pulls itself up once; at about 12.7s lets go and falls away, getting smaller until a dot in the clouds; the empty skid stays in frame to the end.
Wind moves the fur and the ears.
No dialogue throughout the entire video. No background music.
Anatomy rules: exactly one animal, one head, one muzzle, four legs with animal paws, never a human hand. No people, no extra animals, no parachute opens. No text, no captions, no logos, no watermark.
   ```

2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4.

One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/helicopter-skydive-ai-trend/create?variant=pet

### Which photo works best?

Upload **one photo**: of yourself for Human, of your pet for Pet.

- **Human:** a sharp photo with your face turned to the camera, in good light. The first shot is a big selfie close-up, and in the long shot from above you look up into the camera, so a clear, front-facing face matters most. Waist up or full body both work.
- **Your clothes come along**, under the black skydiving harness from the reel. Sporty clothes look the most natural.
- No sunglasses, no cap that hides the face and no beauty filter.
- **Pet:** one animal, the whole body in view, eyes open, in daylight. The fur colors, ears and markings come from your photo; a small harness comes from the reel.
- Use your own photo, a friend who said yes, or your own pet. Never a celebrity or a stranger.

## How many credits does it cost?

You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the scene photo and the video, charged once. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video.

| Video model | Settings | Credits |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Seedance 2.5 (this template) | 15 s, 720p, copies the trend clip, one tap | 228 |

Credits come with a plan; see [pricing](https://www.makeviral.ai/pricing). A failed video gives its credits back.

## What happens in the helicopter skydive video?

Your skydiving AI video copies the reel shot for shot, with you or your pet as the skydiver. The helicopter, the clouds, the camera angles and the music come from the reel:

| Time | Shot | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 2.5 s | Skydiving selfie video | You stand on the helicopter skid outside the open door and film a selfie with a selfie stick, the clouds far below. |
| 2.5 to 5.6 s | From the cabin | You crouch on the skid and climb down under it, holding on with both hands. |
| 5.6 to 12.7 s | From the skid, looking down | You hang from the skid by both hands, legs over the clouds, look up into the camera, do a pull-up and grin. |
| 12.7 to 15 s | The drop | You let go and fall away until you are a dot in the clouds. The empty skid stays in the frame. |

**How it works:** the best AI video models available edit the reel itself: the skydiver becomes the person or pet in your photo, and everything else stays. You get 15 seconds, vertical, at 720p, with the reel's own music put back after the run. A run takes 5 to 15 minutes, and the exact price shows on the Generate button before you spend anything. Every run is a new take, so results differ.

## Human or Pet: which one should you make?

- **Human** puts you in the reel: your face in the selfie, your face looking up from under the skid, and your drop into the clouds.
- **Pet** puts your dog, cat or other pet on the skid in a little harness: it climbs down, hangs by its front paws and lets go. A cat skydiving AI clip like this is pure absurdity, which is the joke. Hanging by the paws is a hard pose for AI, so give it a second run if the first one looks odd.

**Caption ideas:** "Pull ups at 20k feet", "Monday morning workout", "POV: you said yes to the helicopter ride", "My cat when I say bath time". Or write your own.

## How is this different from the trampoline and skyfall trends?

Three sky trends look alike at first, but each one makes a different video:

- **Helicopter skydive** (this page) copies a real skydiver's reel: the selfie on the skid, the hang and the drop, filmed by cameras on the helicopter.
- The [high altitude trampoline](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/ai-high-altitude-trampoline) trend is a stunt that cannot happen: you jump out of a helicopter or off a cliff, hit a small trampoline far below and bounce all the way back up.
- The [skyfall AI trend](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/skyfall-ai-trend) is a calm, cinematic fall through a sunset sky, made from your photo, with no helicopter and no reel to copy.

## What goes wrong, and how do you fix it?

| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| You look like the skydiver from the reel | His face shows big in the first shot. Use a sharp, front-facing photo in good light and run it again. |
| You get tattoos or dark curly hair you do not have | The skydiver in the reel has both. The prompt bans them unless your photo shows them; run it again. |
| Your face is small in the hang shot | The camera looks down from the skid, so the face is smaller there. A clear, front-facing photo helps most. |
| A paw looks like a hand (Pet) | The prompt asks for animal paws. Run it again for a new take. |
| The model refuses a photo | Some photos get refused. The credits come back; try another photo. |

**A word on the stunt:** hanging from a helicopter skid is done by licensed skydivers with a parachute and a pilot who agreed to it, and some operators ban it. Your video is made by AI from one photo; nobody hangs from anything. Keep the AI label on when you post it.

## Helicopter Skydive trend questions

### What is the helicopter skydive trend?

It is a viral reel of a skydiver hanging from a helicopter: he films a selfie on the skid above the clouds, climbs down, hangs by both hands, does a pull-up, then lets go and drops into the clouds. @keoni.anderson posted it on Instagram on 19 October 2026, and an AI video app turned it into a character swap template.

### Who is the man hanging from helicopter skids in the reel?

He is @keoni.anderson, a skydiving creator who posts helicopter skydiving and hot air balloon jumps. The original reel is credited at the top of this page. In your video, your photo takes his place, and he does not appear.

### How do I make the helicopter skydive AI video with my photo?

Press "Create your own", pick Human or Pet and add one clear photo. Press Generate; the button shows the price first. You get a 15-second vertical clip with the reel's music, and it waits in My videos when it is ready. You write no prompt.

### Can my cat or dog do the helicopter jump?

Yes. Pick Pet. Your pet stands on the skid in a little harness, climbs down, hangs by its front paws and drops into the clouds, a cat skydiving AI clip you will not see anywhere else. Use a sharp photo of one animal with the whole body in view.

### Which skydiving AI prompt does this template use?

Nobody shared a prompt for this trend: the reel is a real skydive, not an AI clip. The character swap template made from it uses one line, "Replace the main character with" the photo. This template starts with that line and adds the reel's three shots second by second and rules that keep your face from the photo, or your pet's fur, ears and markings.

### Is the helicopter skydive video real?

The original reel by @keoni.anderson is a real skydive by a licensed skydiver. Your version is not real: AI puts you into the reel from one still photo, and nobody filmed you. Keep the AI label on when you post it, and do not try the stunt yourself.

### How long is the video and what format is it?

15 seconds, vertical 9:16, as an MP4 at 720p, with the reel's music. It plays on TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and there is no watermark.

### Does the helicopter skydive video cost credits?

Yes. Each video costs credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. If a video fails, the credits come back.

### Is there a hanging from helicopter GIF?

Not from this page. MakeViral makes your own helicopter skydive video, an MP4 with sound, not a hanging from helicopter GIF. Most apps can turn the MP4 into a GIF if you need one.

### Where did the most pull ups on helicopter clips come from?

Skydivers do pull ups on a helicopter skid before they let go, and the pull ups helicopter clips are a small niche on TikTok and Instagram. The reel on this page shows one pull-up under the skid; @keoni.anderson posted a cut of it as "Pull ups at 20k feet".

### Is jumping out of a helicopter the same as skydiving from a plane?

Not quite. A helicopter can fly slowly or hover, so when skydivers are jumping out of a helicopter they can stand on the skid, hang from it and let go, as in this reel. From a plane they leave through a door into a strong wind. Your AI video only copies the look of it.

### Is this the helicopter skydive TikTok trend with the selfie stick?

Yes. The reel opens with a skydiving selfie stick shot on the skid, a skydiving pov from above follows, and shorter cuts of it run as helicopter skydive TikTok and Instagram clips. Your helicopter skydive video copies all three shots.
