Counting money has been a reaction meme for years: a boss counting money, a rich man counting money, the man counting money meme with a thick stack, or a cartoon cat counting cash, posted as a counting money GIF whenever someone gets paid, wins a bet or acts rich. In the US, "counting money meme" gets about 590 Google searches a month and "counting money GIF" about 1,900 (Google Ads averages to September 2026). In November 2026 it became the counting money trend on TikTok, made with AI. On 1 November a Mexican TikTok account posted a CapCut template under the caption "¡Cuenta billetes como un gran jefe!" ("count bills like a big boss!"): you upload one photo, and the template turns you into someone counting stacks of cash. The post passed 946,000 views, 29,300 likes and 11,600 shares, and its comments filled with people saying the money is fake, which is the joke. An English copy followed on 4 November ("count stacks of money like a real boss") and had 207,000 views two days later. Spanish posts call it contando billetes or contando dinero; English ones call it the boss counting money template. This page makes the desk version of the meme: a boss in a dark suit, a desk piled with banded bundles, a fast flip through a stack and a fan of bills at the end. If you want the bedroom version where you hug a chain of cash and throw it at the lens, that is the [money flex trend](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/money-flex-ai-trend). ### Counting Money Meme trend timeline - **2025-10**: US Google searches for "counting money meme" stand at 590 a month; they reach 720 in January 2026 (Google Ads data). - **2026-11-01**: A CapCut template post captioned "¡Cuenta billetes como un gran jefe!" turns one photo into a clip of counting stacks of cash. No editing app, no watermark. ### The one-tap way (no prompt to write) 1. **Add your photo.** Press "Make yours" and add you, face clear. Take it with the camera or pick it from your library. Start here: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/counting-money-meme-ai/create 2. **Press Generate.** The button shows the price. Seedance 2.5 films the Counting Money Meme scene straight from your photo, with no in-between picture, for 10 seconds with original sound. You write no prompt. 3. **Download or share.** The video is ready in a few minutes as a 9:16 MP4. Download it, share it from your phone, or find it later in My videos. ### The by-hand way, with the exact prompts The one-tap flow runs this prompt for you. The video model takes your photo as a reference ([Image 1]) and films the scene straight from it, with no photo step first. AI Video takes one photo as the first frame, so it cannot run this prompt the same way: the prompt is here to read. #### Variant: Human Settings: 1 photo (you, face clear) · Seedance 2.5 · 10 s · 720p · 9:16 · with sound · 126 credits in one tap. 1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: Seedance 2.5, 10 s, 720p, 9:16, sound on. The video prompt: ```text Vertical 9:16 video made from the photo [Image 1]. The person keeps the exact same face and expression, now dressed as a confident big boss in a sharp dark suit, standing behind a wooden desk piled with neat banded bundles of US dollar bills, camera fixed. They flip through a thick stack of bills fast with both hands, one note after another, then spread the stack into a fan and wave it toward the camera with a smug, satisfied look. No text, no captions, no logos, no watermark, no extra people. The boss is the person in [Image 1], in every frame: copy the exact face from [Image 1] (the face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles), so their friends recognize them at once. The face stays the same from the first frame to the last; never morph, never blend it with another face, also while the bills flick past and when the fan is close to the face. The boss wears a sharp dark suit over a crisp white shirt, never the clothes from [Image 1]. If [Image 1] shows an animal, the boss is that animal standing upright behind the desk in a small dark suit, with its own face, fur and markings, holding the bills in its front paws, not a person. The place: a dark wood-paneled private office in warm lamp light: a big polished wooden desk in front, piled with neat rows of banded bundles of US dollar bills stacked high, a dark leather chair behind, and bookshelves and a window with blinds soft and out of focus in the back. One continuous take with a fixed camera at chest height, a medium shot from the waist up: the face big and sharp, the desk and the cash along the bottom of the frame. Photorealistic, like a real phone video. The moves, in this order: 0-1 s: the boss stands behind the desk, holds a thick banded stack of bills in both hands at chest height and looks into the lens with a calm, smug face. 1-6 s: they flip through the stack fast with both thumbs, one note after another, the bills flicking past with a crisp riffle, the eyes going from the cash to the camera and back, eyebrows raised. 6-8 s: they spread the whole stack into a wide fan of bills held in one hand. 8-10 s: they wave the fan slowly toward the camera from side to side with a smug, satisfied look; the eyes, the eyebrows and the hair stay in view above the fan and stay exactly those of [Image 1]. The bills look like movie prop money: soft and a little out of focus, with no readable serial numbers and no other writing. No bank logos, no brand logos, no jewelry close-ups, no other props. Audio: the crisp flick and riffle of the bills and a confident, bass-heavy original hip-hop beat with no lyrics. No dialogue throughout the entire video: the boss never speaks. No other people, exactly one boss. Two hands with five fingers each, no extra limbs. No morphing. No text, no subtitles, no captions, no logos, no watermark. ``` 2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4. One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/counting-money-meme-ai/create #### Variant: Pet Settings: 1 photo (your pet, head and chest) · Kling 3.0 · 10 s · 1080p · 9:16 · with sound · 56 credits in one tap. 1. Open [AI Photo with this template](https://www.makeviral.ai/photo?template=counting-money-meme-ai&variant=pet) and add your photo (your pet, head and chest). The photo prompt is filled in: ```text Use the uploaded image as the base. Keep the animal's species, breed, face, eye color, fur color, fur length, markings and body size exactly the same as in the photo. 9:16 vertical photo, like a real phone photo. The pet sits upright behind a big wooden desk piled with neat banded bundles of US dollar bills in a dark wood-paneled private office in warm lamp light: a big polished wooden desk in front, piled with neat rows of banded bundles of US dollar bills stacked high, a dark leather chair behind, and bookshelves and a window with blinds soft and out of focus in the back, dressed as a confident big boss in a small, sharp dark suit jacket with a white shirt collar and a dark tie, sized to its own body. It holds a thick banded stack of bills upright between its front paws at chest height and looks into the camera with a smug, satisfied face. Framed from the desk up, the pet's head big and sharp. Real animal paws, never human hands. The bills are soft and a little out of focus, with no readable writing. Exactly one animal, no people. No text, no logos, no watermark. ``` 2. Check the still before you spend credits on the video. Everything the video model does starts from that one frame. 3. Press the film button on the still to open AI Video with the still as the first frame. Settings: Kling 3.0, 10 s, 1080p, 9:16, sound on. The video prompt: ```text A funny, photorealistic clip in one continuous take with a fixed camera. Keep the pet's face, fur, markings and body size, its small dark suit and tie, the office, the desk and the cash exactly as in the image. 0-1 s: the pet sits behind the desk holding the thick stack of bills between its front paws and stares into the lens with a smug face. 1-6 s: it flips through the stack fast with its paws, one note after another, the bills flicking past, its eyes going from the cash to the camera and back. 6-8 s: it spreads the stack into a wide fan of bills held in its paws. 8-10 s: it waves the fan slowly toward the camera from side to side, very pleased with itself, its head and eyes in view above the fan. The pet keeps the natural body volume and proportions of that animal: never flattened, squashed, stretched or merged with anything. Real animal paws, never human hands. Audio: the crisp flick of the bills and a confident original hip-hop beat with no lyrics; no voice, no bark, no meow. One pet only, one head. No people. No text, no logos, no watermark, no readable writing on the bills. ``` 4. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4. One-tap version of this variant: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/counting-money-meme-ai/create?variant=pet ### Which photo works best? Upload **one photo**: of yourself for Human, of your pet for Pet. - **Human:** a sharp photo from the chest or the waist up, face to the camera, in good light. The clip is a medium shot, so your face stays big from the first second to the last. - Any clothes work: the dark suit and white shirt come from the scene. Your face, hair, beard and glasses come from the photo. - No sunglasses, no hat that hides the face and no beauty filter. - **Pet:** one animal, head and chest in view, eyes open, in daylight. The fur colors, ears and markings come from your photo; the little suit, the desk and the cash come from the scene. - Any background works: the office and the desk of cash are made for you. - Use your own photo, a friend who said yes, or your own pet. Never a celebrity or a stranger. ## How many credits does it cost? You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the scene photo and the video, charged once. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video. | Video model | Settings | Credits | | --- | --- | --- | | Seedance 2.5 (this template) | 10 s, 720p, straight from your photos, one tap | 126 | Credits come with a plan; see [pricing](https://www.makeviral.ai/pricing). A failed video gives its credits back. ## What happens in the counting money meme video? The video is one fixed shot of you behind the desk, in four beats: | Time | Human | Pet | |---|---|---| | 0 to 1 s | You hold a thick banded stack at chest height and look into the lens. | Your pet in a little suit holds the stack between its front paws. | | 1 to 6 s | You flip through the stack fast with both thumbs, one bill after another, eyes on the cash, then on the camera. | It flips through the bills with its paws, glancing at the camera. | | 6 to 8 s | You spread the stack into a wide fan of bills. | It spreads the bills into a fan. | | 8 to 10 s | You wave the fan at the camera with a smug, satisfied look. | It waves the fan at the camera, very pleased with itself. | **How it works:** the Human version is made straight from your photo by top-quality AI video models, including Seedance 2.5, with no picture in between, so your face stays yours. You get 10 seconds, vertical 9:16, with the flick of the bills and an original beat. The Pet version first places your pet at the desk in a picture, then animates it. The exact price shows on the Generate button before you spend anything. Every run is a new take, so results differ. ## Human or Pet: which counting money meme should you make? - **Human:** the boss counting money. Your face and hair stay, the dark suit and the desk of cash come from the scene. It works for any gender and age group of adults. - **Pet:** a cat counting money meme or a dog counting money meme of your own. Your pet sits behind the desk in a small dark suit and tie and flips the bills with its paws. A calm, serious pet is the funniest boss. **Caption ideas:** "Me on payday for exactly one hour", "POV: you finally got your deposit back", "My cat after I bought the expensive food", "Counting what's left after rent". Or write your own. Want more money memes? For a darker boss, try the [mafia boss filter](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/mafia-boss-ai-filter). ## What goes wrong, and how do you fix it? | Problem | Fix | |---|---| | The face looks a little different | Use a sharp, recent photo with the face clear and front-facing, then run it again. | | The bills melt together while they flip | Fast hands are hard for AI video. Run it again for a new take. | | A hand has an extra finger | The prompt asks for two hands with five fingers each. Run it again. | | Your pet's paws look like hands, or its markings change (Pet) | Use a sharp photo of one animal in daylight, or pick Best for the stronger video model. | | You wanted your own clothes | The suit is the joke of the meme, so the scene always dresses you as the boss. | | The model refuses a photo | Some photos get refused. The credits come back; try another photo. | ## Which sound and hashtags should you post it with? Your clip comes with its own sound: the flick of the bills and an original beat, with no words. On TikTok you can add the trend's sound or any song from the app's library before you post. **Hashtags:** #countingmoney (6,868 TikTok videos and 173.9 million views on 7 November 2026), #contandobilletes (739 videos) and #boss. Keep the platform's AI label on. **Keep it a joke.** The money in the clip is a prop, not a promise: do not use it to fake wealth, sell a scheme or make someone else look like they own the cash. ## Counting Money Meme trend questions ### What is the counting money meme? It is a reaction meme of someone, often a boss in a suit or a rich man, counting money fast and showing off the stack. People post it as a counting money GIF or video when they get paid or feel rich, and some search for it as the count money meme or the money counting meme. Since 1 November 2026 it is also an AI trend: one photo turns you into the boss counting money. ### How do I make a counting money video with my photo? Press "Create your own", pick Human or Pet and add one clear photo. Press Generate; the button shows the price first. You get a 10-second vertical clip of you or your pet behind a desk of cash, flipping a stack and fanning it at the camera. You write no prompt. ### Is there a counting money meme template? Yes. The trend started as a CapCut template, the one Spanish posts call "Cuenta billetes como un gran jefe". This page is a counting money meme template too: one photo in, a finished clip out, as a person or as a pet. ### Is this a counting money meme generator? It works like one. Instead of a stock clip with a caption, it makes a new counting money meme video with your own face or your own pet, ready to post with a funny caption. ### Can I make a cat counting money meme or a dog counting money meme? Yes. Pick Pet and add one photo of your cat, dog or other pet. It sits behind the desk in a small dark suit, flips the bills with its paws and fans them at the camera, with its own fur and markings. ### Is the counting money in the video real? No. The person or pet, the office and the cash are made by AI from one still photo. Nobody filmed it and the bills are not real money. Keep the AI label on when you post it. ### Can I turn it into a counting money GIF? MakeViral gives you an MP4 video with sound, not a GIF. Most phones and GIF makers can turn a short part of the MP4 into a counting money meme GIF if you need one for chats. ### How is this different from the money flex trend? The money flex trend is set in a bedroom: you hug a long chain of cash, throw it at the lens and peek over a fan of bills. The counting money meme is the boss version: a dark suit, a desk piled with cash, and a fast count through one stack before the fan. ### Does the video come with the trend's sound? No. Your clip has its own sound: the flick of the bills and an original beat without words. Add the trend's sound or any song in TikTok before you post. ### Which prompt does this template use? No creator of the trend shared a prompt, and the CapCut template shows none. This template starts from the most used published prompt for the boss counting money scene and adds rules that keep your face, or your pet's fur and markings, from the photo in every frame. ### How long is the video and does it cost credits? 10 seconds, vertical 9:16 at 720p, with no watermark. Each video costs credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. If a video fails, the credits come back. ### What does "contando billetes" mean? It is Spanish for "counting bills". The Spanish posts that started the AI trend on TikTok are captioned contando billetes or contando dinero, and the counting money meme on this page is the same idea. ## Other AI video templates and tools - [Money Flex AI Trend: You or Your Pet Flex a Pile of Cash](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/money-flex-ai-trend): Add one photo of you or your pet.
