## What is the AI Couple Prank trend, and where did it start?

The reel that started it was posted on Instagram by [@jessicaehgholl](https://www.instagram.com/reel/De_hZwyoE-o/) on 27 October 2026, with the caption "Every love story has its breaking point... he really should have let her have her coffee first. Coming soon: MR. & MRS. CHAOS." It is made with AI and has no text in it. By 28 October it had about 128,600 likes and 943 comments.

The joke works without a word: he leans in and shouts at her again and again in big close-ups, she gives him one cold look, then simply steps off her end of the plank. The sound is the slow piano intro of "Runaway" by Kanye West featuring Pusha T, and the beat drops as he goes over. It is a new member of the AI couple cliff family that started with the [AI couple thriller](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/couple-thriller-ai-trend) template in mid October.

## How to make the AI Couple Prank video on MakeViral

Everything runs in the browser. No editing app, no watermark.

### The one-tap way (no prompt to write)

1. **Add the two photos.** Press "Make yours" and add the calm one who stays on the cliff, then the one who yells and falls. Add them in this order, because the order decides who is who in the scene. Take them with the camera or pick them from your library. Start here: https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/ai-couple-prank-cliff/create
2. **Press Generate.** The button shows the price. Seedance 2.5 puts your photos into the AI Couple Prank trend clip and copies it shot by shot for 15 seconds, with the reel's original song. You write no prompt.
3. **Download or share.** The video is ready in up to several minutes as a 9:16 MP4. Download it, share it from your phone, or find it later in My videos.

### The by-hand way, with the exact prompts

The one-tap flow runs this prompt for you. The video prompt animates your own photo directly. To change it, copy it and edit it in AI Video.

Settings: 2 photos (the calm one who stays on the cliff + the one who yells and falls) · Seedance 2.5 · 15 s · 720p · 9:16 · no sound · 228 credits in one tap.

1. The video prompt is filled in. Settings: Seedance 2.5, 15 s, 720p, 9:16, sound off. The video prompt:

   ```text
   Recreate the reference video [Video 1] shot for shot: the same grey sea cliff and rock pillar, the same wooden plank across the cliff edge over the open sea, the same camera angles, cuts, timing, moves and mouth moves. Two people change, everything else stays.
The calm one: [Image 1] replaces the woman with long blonde hair in the long black coat on the cliff end of the plank, in EVERY shot, also in her close-up: copy the exact face from [Image 1] (the face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles). They always wear the long black coat from the video, never the clothes from [Image 1]. NO long blonde hair unless [Image 1] shows it.
The yeller: [Image 2] replaces the man with dark curly hair in the white shirt on the far end of the plank, who yells and falls, in EVERY shot, also in his two close-ups: copy the exact face from [Image 2] (the face shape, eye color and eye shape, eyebrows, nose, mouth, skin tone, age, hair color, hair length and hairstyle, and any beard, moustache, glasses or freckles). They always wear the white shirt and the dark trousers from the video, never the clothes from [Image 2]. NO dark curly hair and NO stubble unless [Image 2] shows them.
Both change: no one from the video stays, also in the wide shots where the faces are small. The same two real people in every frame, so their friends recognize them at once. Never morph, never blend or swap the two faces, never drift back to the faces in [Video 1].
Shots, matching the reference:
1. 0-2 s, wide side shot: the calm one stands still, arms down; the yeller leans in and yells, hands out.
2. 2-5.8 s, low-angle close-up of the yeller ([Image 2]) against the grey sky: shouts with the mouth wide open, eyebrows up, every shout at the same moment as in [Video 1].
3. 5.8-7.9 s, the same wide shot: the yeller bends forward and keeps yelling; the calm one does not move.
4. 7.9-9.8 s, close-up of the calm one ([Image 1]): a cold, unimpressed stare, mouth closed.
5. 9.8-13.6 s, the same wide shot: the yeller leans in, hands near the knees; at about 12.5 s the calm one takes one quiet step back off the plank, the far end tips down, and the yeller drops off it, arms up, falling clear of the cliff toward the sea far below; the calm one just watches.
6. 13.6-15 s, close-up of the yeller ([Image 2]) falling through the air, seen from below: eyes wide, mouth open in shock, hair blown up. The clip ends in mid-air.
Comic, not violent: nobody touches anyone, no impact, no landing, no blood, no injury, never a body on the rocks. Exactly two people, one head on each. Real live-action footage, cold grey daylight. No text, no captions, no logos, no watermark.
   ```

2. Press Generate, then download the 9:16 MP4.

### Which photo works best?

You need **two photos**, one person in each.

- **Photo 1 stays calm on the cliff. Photo 2 yells and falls.** Want the other one to fall? Swap the photos. Any couple or two friends work.
- **A sharp face, turned to the camera**, in good light. The yelling and the cold stare are big close-ups, so a clear, front-facing face matters most. Avoid sunglasses and side views.
- **The outfits come from the reel:** photo 1 wears the long black coat, photo 2 the white shirt and dark trousers. Your face and hair come from your photo.
- Use your own photo, or the photo of an adult who said yes and is in on the joke. Never a celebrity, a stranger or a child.

## How many credits does it cost?

You pay per video in credits, and the create page shows the exact price on the Generate button before you spend anything. The one-tap price covers the scene photo and the video, charged once. The cheaper models are there if you run the prompts by hand in AI Video.

| Video model | Settings | Credits |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Seedance 2.5 (this template) | 15 s, 720p, copies the trend clip, one tap | 228 |

Credits come with a plan; see [pricing](https://www.makeviral.ai/pricing). A failed video gives its credits back.

## What happens in the AI couple prank video?

| Time | Shot |
|---|---|
| 0-2 s | Wide: a grey sea cliff and a wooden plank over the drop. Photo 1 stands on the cliff end, photo 2 on the far end over the water, yelling |
| 2-5.8 s | Close-up of photo 2, shouting with the mouth wide open |
| 5.8-7.9 s | Wide again: photo 2 leans in and keeps yelling |
| 7.9-9.8 s | Close-up of photo 1: a calm, cold stare |
| 9.8-13.6 s | Wide: photo 1 takes one quiet step back off the plank, it tips, and photo 2 drops off the end |
| 13.6-15 s | Close-up of photo 2 falling through the air, eyes wide, mouth open |

The clip is 15 seconds, vertical 9:16 at 720p. It copies the original reel shot for shot with top-quality AI video models, including Seedance 2.5, then puts the reel's own sound back on: the piano intro and the beat drop of "Runaway". You can turn the sound off on the result screen. The exact price shows on the Generate button before you spend anything.

## What goes wrong, and how do you fix it?

| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| The wrong person falls | Photo 1 always stays on the cliff, photo 2 always yells and falls. Swap your photos and run it again. |
| A face looks less like the photo | Use a sharp, front-facing photo. The shouting close-up is the hardest shot for the face. |
| The two faces blend | Use two photos with one person each, not one photo of you together. |
| One shot looks different from the reel | Every run is a new take, and a shot can move by a fraction of a second. Run it again for another take. |
| The model refuses a photo | Some photos get refused. The credits come back; try another photo. |

## AI couple prank or AI couple thriller?

Both end with one partner going over a cliff edge, but the setup differs. In the **AI couple prank** nobody touches anyone: one partner yells, the other just steps off the plank, and it copies the viral reel shot for shot with its sound. The [AI couple thriller](https://www.makeviral.ai/templates/couple-thriller-ai-trend) is a stormy kiss that turns into a push, made fresh from your photos, and ends with a splash. Pick the one that fits your joke.

## AI Couple Prank trend questions

### Is this the cliff trend AI, the cliff plank trend?

Yes. On TikTok people search this kind of video as cliff trend AI or the cliff plank trend: two people on a plank over a sea cliff, one steps off, the other drops. This template is the AI couple prank version, with the "look at ya" sound from Kanye West.

### What is the AI couple prank trend?

It is an AI couple argument video from October 2026, the new AI couple trend on Instagram and the AI couple trend TikTok creators copy: on a sea cliff, one partner yells from the end of a plank, the other stares back, steps off the plank, and the yeller drops. ### Can I make it an AI prank on boyfriend or an AI prank on girlfriend?

Yes. Put your partner's photo second and yours first, and your partner is the one who yells and falls. It works the same as an AI prank on husband or an AI prank on wife. Only use a photo of someone who is in on the joke.

### Is there a her turn version, where she falls?

You do not need a second version for it. People call it the AI couple thriller trend her turn: put her photo second and she is the one on the far end of the plank who yells and falls, while he stays calm on the cliff. The photo order decides who falls.

### What song is in the AI couple prank reel?

The reel plays "Runaway" by Kanye West featuring Pusha T, the song known for its "look at ya, look at ya" shouts: the slow piano intro while he yells, and the beat drop as he goes over. That is why some people call it the look at you AI trend, or search look at ya runaway, look at ya kanye and look at ya kanye west. Some call it the look at ya kanye trend. ### Is it the cliff plank prank AI or a walk the plank prank?

It is the cliff plank prank AI version, a plank prank AI video: a plank prank where the one on the cliff end steps off and the plank drops the other one, not a walk the plank prank with a sword. No one pushes anyone. It plays like an AI couple fighting sketch, with the AI couple arguing ending in a fall, the girlfriend drops boyfriend off cliff joke as a short film.

### What is Mr and Mrs Chaos AI?

"MR. & MRS. CHAOS" is the series name in the caption of the original reel. People search the reel as mr and mrs chaos AI. It is not the TV show of a similar name, and this template has nothing to do with it.

15 seconds, vertical 9:16 at 720p, as an MP4 with the reel's sound and no watermark, ready for TikTok and Reels. It can take 5 to 15 minutes.
